A/N:
Welcome to chapter 2! More JASANDER (Jasper/Lysander) to come! More pairings will also come in future chapters!
"By the way... I found some sulfur in a trashcan next to 's house." The dwarf mentioned. Xephos groaned in frustration. Xephos pushed open the door to Granny's shop.
"OOOH! Hello deary!" She called out.
"Hello granny! I have brought you something!" Honeydew said happily.
"Oh? And what might that be?" She asked, Honeydew pulled out seven diamonds and put them on the counter. "I guess you want that golden apple then!" She guessed. She headed into the back to find a golden apple.
"Hey. Give me the record and I can go and get the apple from Braeburn." Xephos suggested. Honeydew agreed and took out the record from his bag,
"Let's hope you don't run into Jasper on the way there." Xephos took the record with a thank you and he left the tea shop. He walked down the path towards the church.
Xephos noticed something in the distance to the lest, he saw Lysander sitting on a wall with Jasper, and Lysander had his arm around Jasper's shoulders as they both spoke. The spaceman raised an eyebrow as he continued to walk towards the church, he quickly opened the doors and Braeburn and walked towards him to greet him.
"Ah. Hero. What can I do for you?" He asked. Xephos showed the record to the Father in sunglasses, "Oh! You found one! I won't ask where you got it from,"
"Yeah it would be best if you didn't know." Xephos said smiling,
"Thank you hero! I can now express my love for music, let me just get the golden apple for you!" He cheered. He walked towards a locked chest, he opened it and brought out the shining golden apple. He carefully held the apple within his hands and passed it to Xephos.
"Thank you father, this will definitely help save someone's life!" The spaceman assured. Father nodded and said,
"I hope it does. Good luck hero!" He shouted as Xephos left the church as he put the apple in his bag. He was greeted by Honeydew.
"Did you get one?" Honeydew asked. Xephos replied,
"Yep. Did you?" The dwarf held his golden apple up high in the sky and then put it into his bag. They both then headed over to the Elysium where they were supposed to meet Lysander. He wasn't on the wall with Jasper anymore so Xephos assumed that Lysander was already at the Elysium. The two reached the front door before Honeydew quickly opened it. There Lysander was waiting as he stood up from his chair.
"You get the apples?" He asked as he walked towards them.
"Yep. Now we can save Peculier from this evil taint!" Xephos replied. The three of them exited the Elysium, leaving Peculier alone upstairs. They headed up the tower towards the paths that floated above the city and were greeted by the only other skylord in this place. Jasper.
"Lysander. What are these two doing up here?" He began, "Skylords are only allowed up here. Well... and that idiot Fumblemore."
"Don't worry. I gave them some temporary licenses," Lysander assured. "Lets just get to Fumblemore." Xephos and Honeydew walked ahead with Lysander behind. Jasper Grabbed Lysander's arm when he walked by,
"Don't do anything stupid Lysander. These guys," he motioned towards the spaceman and the dwarf, "are NOT skylord material. They are idiots who THINK they are heroes,"
"You think too little of them Jasper. They are quite useful," Lysander replied before fast-walking to try and catch up to the two who were just about to climb Fumblemore's tower.
"Alright, let's-" Xephos was cut off when there was an explosion near the top of Fumblemore's tower.
"DAMNIT FUMBLEMORE!" Jasper's voice echoed through the city. Lysander smiled at Jasper's outburst.
"Was that me?" Fumblemore asked with his rather old tone. Honeydew facepalmed before Xephos lead the way up the tower. After managing to find the correct staircase up, they came face to face with half the walkway missing. "Could you repair me walkway please?" Fumblemore asked almost innocently.
"You idiot!" Honeydew cried out. Xephos couldn't help but laugh a little. Xephos fumbled around in his bag and pulled out some towels, "Of course you took some of Jasper's towels. And HOW is this going to fix the walkway?" Before Honeydew could recieve his answer, his spaceman friend was already working on the walkway. He
brought a needle and thread out from his bag and started to sew up the gap between the two planks with towels.
"You want us to walk on TOWELS?!" Lysander questioned.
"Look. I know it's not the safest idea-" Xephos started.
"Ya think?" Honeydew retorted.
"OH! You put down some carpet!" Fumblemore cheered happily.
"Look just carefully crawl and keep your balance." Xephos assured. Surprisingly they all made it safely across, Honeydew did almost fall though. But if he did he would of been fine because he would've landed in... 'Fumblemore's fluids' which started to flood the roof of the Opium den. They all entered Fumblemore's weird magical office as Fumblemore sat down in his chair.
"Alright. Now who are ya?" He asked.
"Oh my god. OLD MAN! WE HAVE THE SHIT FOR THE POTION TO SAVE PECULIER!" Honeydew shouted in the old man's ear.
"Jesus you shout loud." Lysander said. Xephos placed a golden apple on the wizard's desk and Honeydew did the same. They all placed a few handfuls of dirt and sulfur on the desk.
"Ah! You got me table or muddy!" He moaned.
"CALM DOWN! JUST MAKE THE POTION!" Xephos shouted as he placed a big bucket of water from the fountain of 'LIFE' which had been renamed to 'MEMORIES' due to some drownings onto the table. Honeydew then threw a number of feathers onto the desk too.
"Okay! I will make the potion for your sister!" He said as he stood up.
"That- That's close enough... I guess." Lysander said at the idea of Fumblemore calling Peculier their 'sister'.
"You might want to stand back." Fumblemore suggested as he started to move from pot to pot whilst he started to make his potion.
"DON'T BLOW IT UP YOU CRAZY OLD BASTARD!" Honeydew said.
"Ta-Da!" Fumblemore cheered as he handed the bucket to Xephos. Lysander peered into the bucket.
"It looks like a bucket of muddy water with mushed up apple and a few feathers in it..." Lysander mentioned. Xephos rolled his eyes before handing the bucket to Lysander who placed a lid on it and put it into his bag. The skylord adjusted his goggles on his head before he headed out the door.
"THANK YOU! You crazy old bugger... Let's get the hell out of here Xephos before he kills us all..." Honeydew said as they both exited the wizard's tower.
