I can't help but feel a little excited; I mean what is there not to be excited about? A great ball, hot girls, great snacks… I chuckled a little at my last thought I mean this should be a night to remember for sure. I was helping set up when I heard Chelsea showing our first guests to their rooms. Why did I feel like I was missing something?
Becca (Pov)
After my little chat with Eddy boy, I decided that I needed to chat with my father. "Hey pops, what's shaking bacon?" I asked while walking into his office and plopping into the chair across from him. "After years of being a princess you still choose to act like you have no home training" He chuckles as I frown at the statement. "I will pretend I didn't hear that. Now dad I'm letting you know right now if Dickward steps one toe out of line, my guard will kill him." I said seriously. About 25 years ago it was decided that I should have my own personal guard, I chose Felix, Demetri, Afton, Jane, and of course Alec. They still belong to their respective for lack of a better word "Masters" but ultimately they answer to me. "I understand Mia Cara; put the boy in his place." He said encouragingly. I heard the Aro greeting guest at the door it's nearly time! I feel excited and sick at the same time. "Now go Becca, find Alec so you can make your dramatic entrance." He said rolling his eyes. "Hey all vampires are dramatic" I replied with a smile and left to find Alec. I ran to my room and into Alec. "Now I missed you too, but that doesn't mean I come knocking you down." He said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes "Anyway pretty boy we need to have a quick meeting so gather the guard" I said in my command voice. He immediately stopped smiling and disappeared to get everyone.
Bella (Pov)
"Wow" was all I could say after looking at myself in the mirror. I was given this beautiful dark red dress; to say Alice was mad would be an understatement. I stood there stunned as I looked at myself in the mirror. You would think after a hundred years that I would be used to my beauty but it always finds a way to surprise me. We were told that our coven would be announced at 9:00 and now it is 8:45. I walk out of the room to find everyone already standing there. "Wow Bells! You look great" Emmett said while pulling me into a bear hug. "Thanks Em!" I said with a smile that was so wide I bet I looked insane. I looked to Edward for his approval but I only got a nod. I sighed inwardly he never complimented me. As we were leaving out we were met by Afton. "Well great thing I've found you Isabella, you are required to enter alone" he said while holding his arm out to take it. I looked at Edward and he had his jaw clenched. "Why do I have to enter alone?" I questioned. He simply shook his head and replied. "Sorry but my boss would go mad if you don't come." I nodded my head and took his arm. "Well I guess I will see you guys in there." I said sadly. We walked away but not before I saw Alice and Edward whispering too low for me to hear. I shook off the uneasy feeling as we walked away. "So you will wait here and your name will be announced, then you walk through these." Afton said while pointing to some red satin curtains to my left. "Okay no problem, just walk through those curtains then join my family." I said more to myself than to him. He walked away and left with a bow. If it was one thing I hate it is being the center of attention. I completely zoned out I think I am the first vampire to have a panic attack.
Becca (Pov)
"We have an important matter to discuss but first Afton how is Bella?" I ask eager for information. He smiled and simply said "She's well but nervous" I smile it sounds just like Bella. "Okay now on to pressing matters, I don't want Edward anywhere near me when I talk to Bella. If he does I want his head… Literally." I say seriously. "Now go to your respective dates or if you're Demetri yourself. Have fun but be alert, that's all." I smile and take Alec's hand "Are you ready?" He asks as I hear Bella being announced. "More than ever." I say with conviction as I place a chaste kiss on his lips and straighten up as you hear… "Now Announcing Princess Rebecca and her mate Alec Volturi" I smile as we walk in the very large ballroom and look upon all the vampires. "Thank you friends for attending please have a great time now mingle!" I hear Aro sweetly command. I roll my eyes and scan the room for Bella; I see her conversing with Alice and Jasper. I glance at Alec and he nods his head to hold…umm I mean distract Edward. I walk up to the group and Bella looks up and eyes me confused. "Why hello Cullens Jasper, Malice umm I mean Alice. Bella how have you been why haven't you tried to contact me?" You ask hurt. At this point her whole face scrunches up in confusion. "I'm sorry but do I know you?" She asked.
Ooh no! How could I leave it like that?
