Alright, it's been a while. I think it's time to go back to my reality meeting the League fantasies. I know about the typos, but the FanFiction website removes documents overtime and I just had my computer replaced. Maybe a reboot to fix and revise on all of my stories at some point? I've got nothing else to say, sooo…. Let's begin, I guess.
I yawned as I rubbed my eyes. I was pushed almost to the edge of my bed and fell as I leaned forward. I remembered everything from last night once my head hit the floor; Jinx, Vi, the portal, the League of Legends, everything I was told. I stood up and snuck down the hallway. I opened the door to my mother's room; she already was gone for work. I left downstairs to make coffee for the two women sleeping in my bed.
As I was making the coffee, I heard a knock at my door. It was my friend from last night, my duo buddy, Mark.
"Mark! Can we do this later? It's not a good time…" I started to nudge him out the door but he let himself in, pushing me aside.
"Hey, you said we could play some League at your place in the morning. I'm here, aren't I?" He was carrying a giant laptop bag. He sat down on the couch. "Hey, I smell coffee. Can I have some? We can have some coffee, watch a little Twitch streaming, then play some League in your room. I got a new mouse!" He pulled a white multi-button gaming mouse.
"Fine. Get the Xbox set up, I just need to… Update League of Legends and I'll be right down." I shuffled to the kitchen. Maybe I can get them out before he sees them in my room.
"Sounds good. I just need your pass-" Mark was cut off abruptly by a sound I knew all too well
"PENTAKILL!"
"Vicky, what's going-" Once more, a shrill noise cut him off.
"HELL YEAH! GO FOR DRAVEN!" I flinched. They opened the game, they opened the game.
"Who's here? Did you get a girlfriend overnight or something?" Mark started up the stairs.
"Nothing, I just was watching YouTube!" I ran towards him, but his stride was fast and he always skipped a step in his stride. When I made it up the stairs, Mark was standing in the doorway, still. Vi and Jinx looked up from the computer, unbroken eye contact with Mark.
"Vicky."
"I can explain!"
"I don't think you need to." I shouldn't have tried to explain anyways, saying everything I knew irrationally.
"The League exists, Jinx's real name is Michelle, Jinx and Vi are sisters, Jinx is being kicked from the League, Jayce has an illegal portal to different universes, I found them in the alley, Vi is gay and Jinx is bi."
"Hey!" The synchronized interjection made me realize I took it a little too far.
Mark turned around. "So, they're not really good cosplays?"
Oh shit, why didn't I say cosplay? "…Yes?" One of the three in my room was going to kill me.
Mark started… Laughing. "Holy shit, they're real? This is a lesbian dream come true for you!" My face turned red. "I'm assuming that you slept with them?"
Vi finally stood up from the computer. "You did what?!"
"Victoria, I'm so proud of you!" Mark picked me up and gave me a hug. He was always acted like a brother to me, but now wasn't the time to. Vi instantly took me out of the hug.
"I have a girlfriend you little shit." She held me up to her face then dropped me.
"You mean Cupcake?" Mark was in for a beating.
"Hey buddy, she's mine, and she's too gay for you." Mark was still laughing, followed up by a kick in the shins.
"Give them a break Mark, okay?" I led him to my bed as Jinx sat in the office chair I previously was held hostage in while Vi leaned on the wall.
"What now, huh?" Vi shrugged at Jinx's question, and stared blankly at the wall behind me. Jinx spun around in the office chair, and looked back at the monitor. "We're stuck here." Jinx sighed, scrolling through the shop. "Hey, that's us, Vi." She pointed at themselves, motionless in the screen. They started at the splash arts for a moment, then regained focus on Mark.
"So… 'Mark,' was it?" He nodded. Vi walked towards him, continuing to speak. "I'm assuming you know us already. Nice to meet you." She held out a hand. "Get up, big guy. Let's go downstairs while we wait for your little friend." Her voice still had a trace of ice, but Mark still decided to follow her down, but was hesitant. They left me alone with Jinx staring across from me.
"Any questions? I've got enough myself." I relaxed a little at the fact Jinx wasn't instantly trying to kill me.
She shrugged. "I can't question anything anymore after this. I just don't think Vi's too thrilled. But, neither am I," Jinx got up from the chair and sat on the bed next to me. "Hey, I know she's my older sister, but that doesn't mean I can be the one taking care of her." Her smile was kind, something impossible to picture.
"Vi looked pretty upset about this, why aren't you as affected?" Jinx's smile faded a little, and turned back into her casual psycho grin.
"Why do you think? Heh, she's got more than me waiting for her. I'm just here to take care of my older sister," Jinx stood up, heading for the door to join Mark and Vi. "Besides, it's easier to not care if you don't have any feelings left." She walked out, and I sat alone for a moment.
You know Jinx, I started down the stairs, You may act like you don't care, but I know you do. I know perfectly well. I saw them surrounding the TV, Vi and Mark yelling at the LCS Twitch stream and Jinx leaning against the counter from behind. I couldn't see her face, but I knew she was wearing the same kind but small smile. I couldn't help but join her on the other side of the counter, but she hid her face as I joined her.
"So," Jinx still avoided eye contact with me as she spoke, watching the two on the couch. "What was your name again? 'Victoria,' your friend said?"
I smiled a little hearing Jinx so calm. "Yeah. It's Vicky."
They got along with Mark, watching the constant League of Legends streams. Out of the corner of my eye from the backyard across from us was a purple light.
Well, this took a while. I will probably write this by ear, since I'm really busy in classes at the moment. Quick idea, though. I've become a big Sword Art Online fan, and because it's hard to actually find decent, non-porn FanFiction for the fandom, my friend gave me an idea: what about some of the other non-story related side quests in both Aincrad and ALfheim? What about stories about the dungeons and quests and items not spoken about in the actual cannon? SAO fans, what do you think? I will make pilot and try out, maybe you'd like to see more after!
Thank you for the support once more,
Vixen
