"So rhydian if you could just open your mouth go me..." Dr John Watson muttered. Rhydian squirmed on his seat and widened his mouth as the seconds grew further apart from his freedom. Pictures of skeletons and muscle structures were flaunted around the room and Rhydian couldn't help but shiver.
John lent back on his chair, scribbling endless scribbles onto a piece if paper that made Rhydians furrowed eyebrows lower.
"So Mr Morris there's nothing wrong with you."
Rhydian gingerly kicked his lips and propped up on his chair, feeling the wolf etch through his veins lethargically. His tousled mustard hair was flattened, and faint bristles has formed on his finely cut chin. "But there has to be." Rhydians ridged voice cracked and he clenched his fist tighter. John raised an eyebrow and shook his head slowly.
"Sorry Rhydian, no bacterial or virus infection, you have no stomach pain, your weight is healthy, everywhere is fine."
Rhydian bowed his head and nodded slightly, his muscles groaned at the sudden movement causing Rhydian to wince sharply. John scratched his chin and crossed his legs, glaring at the sixteen year old observably.
"You want to talk about anything?" John asked, Rhydian perked his head up, startled by the question even though they were both startled by it all.
"You know you're my gp right?"
"Yes and I am caring for your mental health."
"It's fine."
"Then why don't I quite believe you hmmm?" John had shuffled towards Rhydian and his pupils bulged, with dew plastering his neck gently as Rhydian shook his head glaring outside the misty window where darkness cascaded on it every night."you know Rhydian bottling emotions up isn't really the best option to take, fighting emotional and physical battles are hard. Do you wanna get assessed?"
"I've had that done before its not good."
"What about blood tests to see if your blood sugar levels are low?" John stood up but Rhydian darted out if his chair, his heart thudding inside his bulk chest hurriedly.
"No!" Rhydian hollered. Startled, John discontinued moving as he slipped on his other glove. Rhydian lowered his tousled eye brows and glared at the floor, licking his lips angrily. "I'm afraid of needles."
"It's fine, don't look."
"It's the pain."
"It won't hurt mr Morris it'll be perfectly fine."
"Thing is it was a dark moon yesterday and well blood thicker than water thing means you can't have blood test and I haven't felt too good because of the dark moon." Rhydian laughed, simpering away like a lost puppy and John smirked, backing away from the dented cabinet.
"Right. Ok. I'm not born yesterday so if you could tell me what's wrong then maybe I can help you."
"You can't."
John shook his head and laughed slightly, and he dug the pain in his joke a little deeper."you'd be surprised Rhydian, trust me."
"Well I can't tell you."
"You know sometimes the bravest thing to do is ask for help."
Rhydian froze. He hadn't heard that since that intense day, the last full moon with his Alpha. John laughed lightly, transfixed in his memories."I'm a doctor it's my duty."
"No your duty is to help when people need it and you lot just sit. There. On chairs and nodding your head like you have a clue. Well you don't you never will so drop it."
"It's my job."
"It's my job to leave so bye, thanks for nothing."
"I-"
"It's fine you're only human." Rhydian growls and the heat scales up and down his neck the pain becoming unbearable. He marches to the door and swings it open, his stained tie fluttering the the stuffed ambiance.
"Rhydian! Please! I may be a doctor but I'm not stupid."
"Whatever."
"I see you've lost someone then." John muttered, Rhydians ear pierced and his hand twitched as he felt the darkness smother him. John took off his glove and scratched his wired moustache rapidly. Rhydian halted abruptly and slams the door shut, leaving the busy crowd for John. Rhydian faced the door.
"How?"
"Deduction."
"What?"
"A friend told me how to deduce and well I can tell."
"So what can I do?"
"Admit you have a problem."
Rhydians eyes clamped shut and his shoulders stooped feeling the wolf cut within. He swivelled round and his puffed eyes gleamed on the artificial sunlight of the lamp next to johns hooded eyes.
"I don't have a problem, just she's disappeared gone into the wilderness."
It was johns turn to freeze. Blistering beads of morning dew caked his clammy frontal bone."Disappeared?" John pointed a finger at the wolfblood, and the muscle tightened ambiance grew hotter. "Sorry what? Disappeared?"
"Yes."
"Like a different identity?"
"Yeah."
"But still alive?"
"Yes." Rhydian said, his throat swelling.
"Mr Morris have you got a job?"
"No. I mean there's the kafe but I don't belong here."
"Well I'm a doctor, I'll help you with money and mental state."
"What's the job?" Rhydian squinted his eyes and lunged backwards.
"Let's just say-a little experience and detective work."
"Involving deducing?"
"Involving deducing."
