Chapter 4:

He crept up behind the mercenary holding the MP10, and clapped a hand over his mouth, and slit his throat, then he slammed the man's head down, and slammed the razor sharp 4.6"blade into the base of the man's skull. He violently twisted the knife, severing the brain stem. He lowered the body to the ground. He had just lowered the body to the ground, when he felt movement behind him. He whirled around, and saw the other mercenary bringing his assault rifle to bear. Without even thinking he grabbed the barrel with his left hand hit the mercenary in the face with a bone jarring right cross. Then he ripped the 416 from the mercenary's weakened grasp, and hit him in the face with the butt stock. The blow dazed the mercenary long enough for Jack to snap his neck. He searched the body, and found 4 mags, and several flash bangs, and a mixture of concussion, and fragmentation grenades. He pocketed them, and then searched the other mercenary. He took all of flash bangs, and grenades as well, then he pulled out his monocular, and studied the situation. He pulled out his P30LS, and screwed the Gemtech suppressor onto the threaded barrel. Since the 416 didn't have a silencer he would have to use his pistol. Once he was ready he pocketed his monocular, and stealthily made his way toward the cabin. He hadn't gone fifteen feet, when heard the crunch of dry dead leaves. He flattened himself behind a tree, and peeked out. He saw two mercenaries coming his way. He sighted along the barrel of his pistol, and dropped one mercenary with two rounds to the head. Then Jack quickly pumped two rounds into the other mercenary's head as well. Then after checking for anymore he took off running again. 5 feet later he stopped. He smelled something; he couldn't believe it one of the mercenary's was smoking. He holstered his pistol, and pulled out his HALO5, crept behind the mercenary, and buried the blade in the base of his skull, killing him instantly. Then he wiped the blade clean, and returned it to his pocket. He pulled out his monocular, and searched the scene for more mercenaries. He spotted two of them leaning against a tree talking. He was shocked at how lax they were about security. He grinned to himself as he stealthily got in range. He put two rounds into each mercenary's head, and then started to make his way toward the house again. He ducked behind a tree as he heard a chopper overhead. He was about 25 feet from the house, but in between was a huge open plain without any cover whatsoever. He checked his pistol, then he heaved a heavy sigh as he gathered all the strength he could muster, and made a mad zigzagging dash for the raised deck. He dove under the deck as he heard the chopper get closer. He stayed huddled under the deck for what seemed like hours. He heard the chopper land, and disgorge it's passengers then take off again. Suddenly Jack heard the thud of heavily booted feet on the deck. He pulled out his knife, as he climbed up the deck. He peeked over the top rail, and saw that a mercenary was standing a foot away from him. The mercenary had his back to him, and was talking on a cell phone. Jack lowered himself just as the mercenary pocketed the phone turned around, and lit a cigarette as he walked right up the rail. Jack popped up, and rammed the blade of his knife into the mercenary's windpipe, and tore it out. Then he threw the mercenary off the deck. Then he vaulted over the rail, and drew his pistol as he stealthily made his way inside. He pulled out his cell, and called Chloe. As soon as she answered he whispered, "Chloe I'm inside Logan's retreat. I need to know where all of the hostiles are as well as where Logan's office is."

Jack could hear Chloe clacking away on her keyboard as she said, "I've sent it to your phone."

He said, "Thanks Chloe."

She replied before she terminated the connection, "You're welcome. Be careful Jack."

He grinned to himself as he pocketed his phone. He whispered as he hefted his pistol, "Time to go hunting."
