Chapter 5:
Jack stealthily searched and cleared the 1st floor of the cabin, and was just about to ascend the staircase, when a head popped out from the upper floor. Jack quickly put two rounds between the man's eyes, then quickly sprinted up the steps and hid the body in the bathtub. Then he quickly button hooked out into the hall and continued clearing the house. He found Logan's study on the second floor. He was about to bust in, when heard multiple footsteps on the stairs, and on the floor he was currently on. Without hesitation he burst through the double doors of Charles Logan's study, startling Logan, and another man. Logan sputtered, "Bauer what are you doing here?"
Jack shoved Logan against a wall and pressed his silenced 9MM P30LS into Logan's left eye as he snarled, "Did you have Aaron Pierces son assassinated along with Tom Lennox President Palmer's chief of staff?"
The other man went to protest so Jack shot him in the thigh. The man fell to the floor shrieking in pain. Logan said, "You didn't have to do that Jack."
Jack snarled, "Shut up."
Then while keeping Logan covered he quickly searched the wounded man he asked as he relieved him of a 9MM Berretta INOX, "Who is this man?"
Logan replied as Jack tucked the piston to his waistband, "His name is Jason Pillar. He's my assistant."
Jack knew the name. Pillar was the head of a DIA taskforce operating in Iraq and Afghanistan a few years ago. He turned back to Logan as he snarled, "You didn't answer my question."
Logan locked eyes with Jack as he replied, "No I did not."
Jack hissed, "You're lying."
Logan was about to reply when suddenly there was pounding on the door and voice asked, "Mr. President are you alright? We heard shrieking coming from within your study."
Jack pressed the silencer deeper into Logan's left eye as he hissed, "One wrong word and you're dead."
Logan nodded stiffly as he said, "We are fine. Jason just sliced his palm open."
The merc asked, "Does he require medical attention?"
Logan was about to reply; when suddenly several alarms began to go off inside. The merc kicked the door open and came racing in as he shouted, "We have an intruder-"
Jack shot him between the eyes as he cursed, "DAMMIT."
He quickly closed and bolted the door as Logan asked in a smug voice, "What are you going to do now Jack; you are trapped."
Jack ignored him as tipped Logan's huge cherry wood desk over and used it as a barricade. Moments later bullets started hitting the doors.
DUM! DUM! DUM! Jack's surrounded. Should he call Gibbs for help
