Chapter 6:
Jack yanked out his phone and barked once Gibbs had picked up, "Prairie Fire. I say again Prairie Fire."
Gibbs immediately knew Jack was in trouble. He asked as he gathered his team, "Where are you and how many hostiles?"
Jack replied as he downed a merc that had came charging into the study, "I'm still at Logan's retreat. I'm under attack by his security force. I estimate there's at least 20 men. I've managed to take out all of the sentries outside and a few of them of them inside. I'm currently pinned down in his study. I have Logan and his assisstant; a former DIA spook named Jason Pillar secured. I need you to make me a hole so I can get the hell outta here."
Gibbs said in a steel like voice as hand his team raced to Jack's location, "You hold on. We are almost there. You will not die CPT. Bauer do you understand."
Jack knew Gibbs only used his army rank when he was deadly serious. He replied, "Copy that Gunny."
Gibbs yelled, "Gear up NOW."
DiNozzo asked, "What's up boss?"
Gibbs snapped, "Jack in trouble again."
Ziva visibly paled as she asked, "How bad is it?"
Gibbs replied tersly, "He's pinned down at Logan's retreat. He said he thinned out the merc's numbers but he still called in a prairie fire."
Ziva knew that meant serious troublle so redoubled her preparations.
Jack stowed his phone and glared at Logan as he bellowed, "Is there any other way out of here?"
Will Logan tell him?
