" Soul?" Maka spoke, poking her head through her friend's door.

" M-Maka!? Close the door, would you!?" She did that, but walked in further.

" What are you doing? You were making quite a fuss early in the morning." Soul sighed and made a shirt disappear with his wand.

" Just trying to decide on what to wear. Stupid Kid's rule about no leather..."

" What to wear? Since when do you care about what you wear? You would just throw on everything and everyone would still be drooling. I even thought I heard someone say your name behind a bush back in Sukeruton." Soul smirked.

" Well, I just have that talent beside someone in this room. Unlike you, I don't even have to try." Maka pouted but sat on his bed.

" Alright then. If you have this so called 'talent', why are you having such a hard time now?" Soul looked up, contemplating in an answer.

" I-uh... just wanted to do different things for a change of pace."

" Change of pace alright. It's been nearly an hour and your still trying to figure out what to wear? Where are you going? Meeting anyone important?" She asked all at once with a look of expecting an answer. Soul sweated and quickly found something to wear.

" You know what? This looks really nice. I should head out now."

" Wait a minute Evans." Maka was now serious and was chasing Soul down the stairs." Get back here and answer me!"

" No can do. Gotta go!"

" Soul!"

Kid walked out into the living room after hearing all the noise the two were making and felt something nearly knock the wind out of him.

" A-ah, Kid. Could you hold off Maka for a bit?" Soul asked while moving off from the baffled male and stepping out the house.

" Wait, what?"

Just as Maka finally got downstairs and into the foyer, Soul was already gone. She stamped her foot in frustration and growled loudly.

" Aaaargh! Damn him! Running off like that from his partner... Who the hell is he meeting behind our backs anyway!?" She asked Kid angrily, as though he had any clue.

" Calm down. As if I knew."

Maka huffed and flopped down on the couch, even more annoyed when she began to sink in the cushions.

" Damn him... curses..." She continued to mutter death threats and insults under her breath. She was thoroughly pissed off that Soul was actually cutting her out of his life. That is, in her view at least. She was so desperate to know why Soul kept running off and locking himself in his room. She was thinking of spying on him but she knew that Soul did not tolerate spying, let alone from someone else who he claims to trust.

That does not mean that she isn't highly upset about the new boundaries Soul had set in their partnership.

Soul sighed in relief as he waited on a bench. He knew there was hell to pay once he goes back but there is no way he could turn down Black Star's request. A date for goodness sake... Should there be death that he would actually be late for a request like that.

He was wondering about what they were going to do for their date. He is okay with a walk in the park, or the movies, or a romantic restaurant, or just sitting under the moonlight holding each other so close as though they would never let go...

His mind completely went off to its own little world and his face was starting to warm up. Anything could be possible, but it wouldn't hurt to daydream a little.

" Soul?"

" Don't stop..."

" ... Don't stop what?"

" E-Eh!?"

The real Black Star was staring down at him with a perplexed look. Soul blinked into consciousness and stuttered heavily when he was being stared at curiously.

" O-Oh... H-Hi..." He muttered in a small voice as the heat on his cheeks began to gradually rise. He was entirely embarrassed that Black Star had actually caught him in the middle of his daydreaming, of him no less. Of course his luck would turn out for the worse when the object of his dreams is probably wondering why he said something weird." I didn't m-mean to space out or anything..."

" I'm more curious about what you were spacing out about."

His face is way too hot for this.

" N-nothing important!" Soul quickly stated, causing the other teen to chuckle.

" Really?"

" Really!" After more laughter was followed, Black Star held out his hand for Soul to take.

" Alright. I won't waste time on that then." The wizard took the hand was pulled up from his seat. Their date was starting and that was all Soul could think heart raced at the many activities they could do and what the outcome of their day would be." So what do you wanna do first?"

" H-huh?" Soul blinked from his inner world.

" Where do you want to go first?" Black Star asked again. Soul raised his eyebrows before sweating.

" I-idiot! You were supposed to plan everything out already!" The student gave one of his clueless looks.

" What? But how would I know where you wanted to go?"

" That's the whole point," Soul said while face-palming himself in exasperation," You are supposed to surprise your date." Black Star blinked.

" Oh. Okay then let's start over!-" He began with a thumbs up but Soul yanked his arm and pulled him so they could continue walking.

" There is no point in trying to fix it if we're already out." Although truthfully, Soul just didn't want to face Maka's wrath.

" Oh, okay... Where to then?"

" I dunno, let's just walk around. You guide, I'm still pretty new around here." Black Star grinned at the white-haired teen and linked their hands together.

" Alright, then it's a date."

I hate you so much right now...

But Soul reluctantly let their hands stay together. Soul felt so confused yet excited about what they were doing. Black Star has always thought and treated him as a friend so why should this date mean anything? It is only just them hanging out without the interruptions of Liz or Patty. It was only them, hand in hand. Not a date at all or anything related to him liking the other. Still...

" Um Black Star. What..."

Do you think of me?

" Do you think of this date?"

Damn.

Black Star shrugged and looked to his side.

" I dunno. I was just tired of them hogging your attention all the time." Soul had a double-take.

" Wh-what!?"

" I don't like it when they're with us. I wanted us to have time to ourselves for once." The blush came back in full force and the wizard felt as though his legs would no sooner be able to support him. The things Black Star says...

" Why do you say things like that? Don't we hang out in the balcony every night?" Black Star stopped them near a building and looked at Soul. He yanked their hands so Soul was forced to be pulled against his side.

" I dunno. I just want to... be with you more."

" Oh..."

Oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god!

" Let's start here. You've been to an arcade, right?" Soul shook his head, blinking when he recieved a sigh and Black Star gave an exasperated look." I still don't believe you're human..." He muttered before pulling Soul into the building.

" Why do you say that?" Soul asked. The place was dim-lit but there were machines everywhere and people were walking around with drinks or tickets. He looked around interestedly and was walked over to a nearby machine.

" Everyone knows what an arcade is. Here, try this one." Soul walked in front of the booth and stared at the machine. He blinked with a blank expression before looking up at the blue-haired boy.

" Okay, now what?" He asked and Black Star sweated.

" Uh... play it." Soul looked down at the buttons and toggle before hesitantly pressing the green button. He nearly jumped out of his skin when music played and saw a yellow circle surrounded by white dots on the screen. Why are there different colored things hovering in a box in the middle? Why is there a cherry sitting in the game? Why are there four large white dots in the four corners? How the hell do you even play this game?

" Ngh... L-Like this?" Soul uncertainly said while placing his hand over the buttons. He heard the student chuckle before standing behind him and grasping his hands, moving them in the correct places.

" More like this. You move with this..." Soul's heart thumbed dramatically as his hands were covered by the other's and was moved to shift the toggle. The teen leaned on him from behind and spoke low in his ear. How could he concentrate like this!?," Got it?"

" C-Could you repeat that?" Soul numbly asked and could almost hear the other smile humorously. It's not his fault that he got so easily distracted by the sort-of embrace. God, the body against him is so warm and his arms... His freaking muscular arms...

" Pay attention this time, alright?" The teen said amusedly in the pointed ear and Soul wanted to just punch himself in the stomach to make the fluttering go away.

" O-Okay..."

After a bit of playing the virtual games, Soul a spotted a Claw Machine nearby and tugged on Black Star's sleeve.

" What's that?" He asked while pointing at the machine that contained a single claw and many stuffed animals inside.

" Oh that?" Black Star said while looking at the pointed direction," I wouldn't really reccomend playing it..."

" But..." Soul looked back at the machine. He so happened to see a ' black cat with bat wings' plushie and he couldn't stop staring at it. His hand still clutched the other teen's sleeve and his grip tightened at the thought of having to pass up the plushie.

Black Star could see the admiration in Soul's and sighed. Something stirred inside him at the interested look Soul had and he just felt the need to do something about it.

" I guess we could try." Soul gave a fanged-grin and dragged his friend over to the Claw Machine.

" I want to get that one." He said while pressing his finger on the glass window at his plushie of choice. The blue-haired teen cocked his head at the evil-looking cat plushie, but didn't comment on it.

" Uh, alright..." After starting the machine with money, Soul had figured out the control pretty quickly." But, it may be a bit hard to get it."

" But there's a lot inside. It shouldn't take long."

Only five minutes passed when Black Star finally realized that he is going to go bankrupt with the many tries Soul made.

" One more!"

" Dude, that's enough."

" But I was so close."

" We'll try again tomorrow."

" But..." Soul glared at the Claw Machine. Why is such a simple game so hard to defeat? How could the owner of the arcade trick people into thinking they could get cute plushies and make them waste all their money?

As if sensing what the other was thinking, Black Star grabbed Soul's hand.

" That's just how they make money."

" But..." The wizard said again and his brows furrowed as he looked back at the booth. Then, his flashing red eyes widened and the glass on the Claw Machine shattered loudly, scattering all over the floor. Passerbys screamed and pointed while guarding their children or stepped back quickly. Only Black Star's mouth hung open and Soul grinned happily as he leaned forward and grabbed the black cat plushie before linking his hand back in the student's hand.

" Okay. Let's go now."

" ..."

After they left the arcade, which was bound to be crowded with police and medical forces soon, Soul walked them over to a sidewalk that lead to a bakery. A tingling sensation came into the wizard and he blinked into his negative vision, spotting Enerugī in a large tree nearby. The amount of the energy was very large, and when they passed by it, Soul shook from the sudden force of the response he recieved. All that magic in just that mere tree...

" What... What happened?" Black Star asked numbly, referring to the unnatural scene at the arcade and Soul blinked out of his vision and only shrugged. He steered them into a nearby candy shop and held his plushie more tightly. If he wants something, you can guarantee that he'll get it.

" Dunno. Hey, can we get those?" Soul changed the subject while staring at the direction of a staff member serving what looked like soft cones.

" You sure do ask for a lot." The Bluenette said with a humored smile and the white-haired male flushed.

" Are you going to spoil me or what?" He smartly asked and a hand ruffled his hair.

" Alright. Only because you're being cute."

" Wh-What!?" Soul exclaimed but he was only pulled over to the counter. He tried to urge the blue-haired student of what he meant but a staff member came up with a note-pad.

" Hello, what can I get you two?"

Soul looked down at the choices of cones. He stared down at them for a while before Black Star sweated when he realized that his friend did not have a clue of what the store was selling.

" Erm... Strawberry please."

" Strawberries? Where?" Soul said and looked at the other teen, in which the employee looked at Black Star, who just dismissed it. As the staff went to serve their orders, Soul tugged at Black Star's sleeve again with a demanding look.

" What are we getting?"

" You're the one that asked for crépes."

" ... What? Speak normally."

" I am. It's a desert that practically everyone eats. I take it that you never had one."

" Huh. Are they good?" Soul asked and the student smirked.

" Oh yeah. They're good." It was a while when a man came out with strawberry crépes in his hands. He walked from the other side and to the counter.

" Here are your orders." The staff member handed them each a crépe over the long counter and Soul took his while looking at the wrapped treat. He tilted his head this way and that, examining every spot before looking up at the man that gave them their deserts.

" How... How am I supposed to eat this?" He asked the employee, and the man raised his eyebrows in surprise. Before he could question the wizard, Black Star dragged Soul out with an incredulous look.

" You are seriously behind on things." The Bluenette said and they came across a bench across the street. Once they sat down, Black Star lifted Soul's hand that contained the crépe and held it up to the wizard's mouth." Just bite into it."

" Wha-?"

" Just do it."

Soul looked down wearily before leaning his head down slightly to bite into the white cream and strawberry bits. He suddenly leaned back and hummed.

" It... is good."

" Told you, didn't I?" The white-haired teen took more bites and the two enjoyed the deserts. Soul noticed a few water drops fall from the sky before it started to sprinkle.

" It's been raining a lot lately... I wonder if it has something to do with you." Black Star said while looking up. Soul elbowed the laughing boy.

" Oh shut up." Once they finished, the pair just silently watched the city begin to fog from the heavy rain. The two were protected by the hood that was held high above the bench. However, Soul felt a few drops blow on his side from the breeze." Well this is nice." He muttered sarcastically. Black Star looked over at the brooding wizard and a few moments passed before Soul felt something warm encircled around his torso and arms. He was pulled against the other teen's side and his face was steadily heating.

" Wh-Why are you..?"

" Just protecting you so you'll stop complaining about being hit by a few drops." Black Star simply said and Soul puffed a cheek in annoyance.

" You didn't do a very good job of it the last couple days." He pointed out and Black Star leaned down slightly with an amused smile.

" Oh? My apologies your royal highness. Water must be a real threat, huh?" Soul made a move to hit the other boy but a hand grabbed his wrist. He gave a sharp intake of breath and glared at the blue-haired student.

" Hey. Let go so I can hit you." He only got a smirk in response.

" That isn't a very nice reward."

" So what? You want a kiss or something? Just let go already." Soul strained to move his arm but suddenly, his head was tilted up and Black Star was now staring at him with a serous expression." Wh-what?" He was only joking when he offered a kiss, surely humans aren't offended by those kind of statements?

" I would." The other said and Soul swallowed anticipately when hot breath was now blowing against his lips.

" What are you... saying?" He managed to say and Black Star grinned.

" This." And with that, he pressed his lips softly against Soul's. The shocked teen's eyes widened drastically and shook when his breath was captured. His heart beat almost painfully against his chest and he was sure time had stopped for the moment.

He's... kissing me.

And it wasn't just some fantasy. He is being kissed by his crush. After the long weeks of being mentally tortured about the human, here he is having his first kiss.

By a human.

Then, Black Star pulled back and Soul was blushing furiously. He looked down and touched own lips.

" That... That was my first... You..." He said shakily and the student only smiled before leaning back down, moving away the wizard's hands so their lips pressed firmly against each other. With a pounding heart, Soul clutched onto the front of a Black Star's shirt to pull himself up more. It was an immediate response and the hand holding his wrist moved down to complete the embrace around his torso. Their lips moved almost desperately against each others' and they clung onto one another, ignoring the blowing winds and harsh rain.

Just as Soul had pulled back for air, he was pulled onto the other teen's lap to straddle him and their lips reconnected within a fraction of a second. His brows furrowed as his cheeks reddened while they made-out more heatedly. The grip on his hips tightened and Soul held onto Black Star's shoulders to keep his balance.

After more sharp intakes of breath and slight moans, they parted away from each other while panting heavily. Soul rested his head on the male's shoulders while replaying the scene. He could not get over the major fluttering in his stomach or slight ringing in his ear. It was as if his whole body was malfunctioning at the moment. But besides those factors, he felt like fainting. Not from his lack of breath but from... happiness. Never had he felt like jumping off of a building while laughing maniacally.

He smiled despite his panting and leaned more against Black Star. The arms around him encircled more so they were in an embrace that silently promised to never let go. He felt so warm, and content, and safe, and... and... happy.

It's so weird.

A while later, the rain seemed to have stopped and the clouds slowly parted to reveal the afternoon sun. A rainbow was clearly visible and the two boys stared at it, both feeling equally content together.

" Black Star I-I..."

I love you!

The blue-haired teen smiled and closed his eyes.

" I know Soul. I know."
