AUTHOR'S NOTES: Alright here is another chapter. I am sorry it's slow going but i write when i am inspired.
HOUR 6
MIAMI CRIME LAB
Jasmine was laid out on her side working through a contraction when Eric and Ryan came in. "Where's Speed?" Erica asked.
"Went to get some coffee." Jasmine said rolling onto her back.
"Want some company?" Ryan asked.
"Sure. If you can stand a sweaty and irritable person." Jasmine said.
"That's easy. I live with Eric." Ryan said.
Eric looked mock hurt at his lover. "I thought you said you loved me." Eric said.
"I do dear. But you are irritable sometimes." Ryan said.
"And you do smell sometimes Eric." Jasmine said smirking.
"Thanks. I can see how much I am loved." Eric said.
"Did Ryan finally come to his senses and break up with you?" Speed said coming into the room.
"No. He just told me I was irritable." Eric said.
"Then Jasmine told him he smelled sometimes." Ryan said.
"See Speed they're ganging up on me." Eric said.
"Sorry Eric please ignore me. I told you I was irritable." Jasmine said.
"How is our girl doing?" Calleigh asked coming into the room.
"Sore and tired." Jasmine said.
Calleigh laid down beside Jasmine with her head on the same pillow. "Is baby girl still misbehaving?" She asked.
"Hey who said it was a girl?" Eric asked from his stool.
"I did." Calleigh said.
"And you're what the baby whisperer?" Ryan asked.
"No it's the way Jasmine is carrying." Calleigh said.
"Ok if you say so ." Eric said..
Just then Horatio and Alex came in. "Ok I need to check Jasmine to see how far we are before baby." Alex said.
"I wanna stay." Eric said.
"Well we don't all get what we want." Calleigh said.
"Fine. But I'm coming back." Eric said.
"Is that a threat?" Speed asked.
"That's a promise." Eric said leaving.
"He's not right." Speed said kneeling down beside Jasmine.
"Ok Baby girl let's get you checked out." Alex said.
WHOLESOME HOUSE
Danny was still laying on the couch when he jerked awake by someone flopping in the chair. "Patrick?" Danny asked.
"Yeah sorry to wake you." Patrick said.
"What are you doing up?" Danny asked sitting up.
"Wind woke me. It sure is whipping out there." Patrick said.
"Yeah. It should be over in a few hours for us." Danny said.
"Why are you out here?" Patrick asked.
"Can't sleep in my bed without Jasmine." Danny said.
"She call you?" Patrick asked.
"No. Cell service is really bad right now." Danny said.
"She could call from a landline." Patrick said.
"She's a little ticked at me right now. And she has reason to be." Danny said.
"Why?" Patrick asked.
"With you and Maria going everywhere with us she's been feeling like a 4th wheel and I didn't pick up on it." Danny said.
"We just found out we're brothers. She should understand." Patrick said.
"She knows Patrick. She actually told me the first 20 times we went out that she felt she needed to stay and let me and you get to know each other. I just wanted her with me." Danny said.
"Why would you need her? She seems a little whiny to me. And besides ain't you like 10 years older than her?" Patrick asked.
"I'm only 3 years older than her. And I think this conversation is over." Danny said getting up and going towards his and Jasmine's room. He was stopped when he noticed the nursery door open.
He looked in to see Maria standing looking at the crib. "Odd that we can bring something into this world that is innocent and in time they turn into brats." She said.
"You heard what he said?" Danny asked.
"Hard not to. I am sorry." Maria said.
"No need. His opinion." Danny said.
"But he should be more tactful." Maria said.
"Did she ever mention how her mother came back?" Danny asked.
"I thought she said her mother was dead." Maria said.
"She made her think that for 15 years. But no she came back just before we got together. Jasmine was 15." Danny said.
"Was she happy, shocked?" Maria asked.
"Not happy. Her mother had married a common enemies dad. And stepdaughter and Jasmine's mom got together and decided to make Jasmine pay." Danny said swallowing the lump in his throat just thinking of that time.
"When you and her had us over last week she looked like she was having a hard time." Maria said.
"She was and I didn't listen to her. Damn I am a moron." Danny said.
"Honey all men have no clue what us women go through when we're in our last month of pregnancy. So don't beat yourself up." Maria said.
"Thanks. You can stay in here as long as you like. I need to call my mom and check on her." Danny said.
"Ok. Don't let Patrick bait you no more." Maria said.
"Yes ma'am." Danny said leaving the room.
CSI LAB
Jasmine was laying on the mattress dozing when Horatio came in. Tim who was sitting in a chair reading a book got up. "How's she doing?" Horatio whispered.
"6 centimeters. Maybe by daybreak." Tim said.
"Eye of the storm is just making it ashore." Horatio said.
"She's wore out. When she wakes I am gonna see if she wants to walk for a bit." Tim said.
"Mmmm." Jasmine moaned.
"Looks like we're up." Horatio said.
"Jas another contraction?" Tim asked squatting down behind her.
"No my back hurts." Jasmine said.
"I think it's time we walked for a while." Tim said.
"Come sweetie let me and dad get you up." Horatio said.
Tim and him hoisted her up. "Oh gawd." Jasmine said pain written over her face.
"Contraction?" Tim asked.
She just nodded and held onto him. Eric and Ryan came in at that point. "We just..." Ryan stopped see Jasmine's face. "Come on love let's go get some coffee." He said quietly backing him and Eric out of the room.
After a few minutes Jasmine released her hold on Tim's shoulder. "Sorry if I hurt you." She said regaining her breath.
"Me? Never." Tim said smirking at her.
"Ready for that walk now?" Horatio asked.
"Yes. Might help my back." Jasmine said.
"Come on I know of a few people who want to see you. Check on ya." Horatio said holding his hand out. Jasmine took it and smiled.
