A/N: Hello loves! I am back on the what, fifteenth? (I am not sure) chapter. This note was written before hand, so right now I am experiencing typing with glasses on for the first time in like, six years. Very freaky, its like everything is in high definition. Now, on with the chapter!

"Genius is the ability to renew one's emotions in daily experience." - Paul Cezanne

Previously on White Noise...

"You know, I plan on escaping." I began, fear prickled my scalp. 'Why am I suddenly confessing this to him?' I paused before beginning again. "I am the one causing all of those surges." My eyes turned towards his, gold clashed with brown and the words slipped off my tongue before I had the chance to stop them.

"And I remember everything."

Why hasn't he called me back?

I glanced around at the increasing group of rebels. It was so hard to believe this had just begun with Miroku, Kaede, Kikyo and I. And now it has increased to ten, brave men and women. The newest of our additions was named Hojo Nobunaga.

Most of them had regained their memories, though only a handful had spiritual powers, the others were trained in the ways of demon slaying, a practice that had been banned long before purification. But apparently, Jay, now Kohaku, had remembered him and his sister were the last demon slayers. Sadly, he doesn't know what happened to his sister just yet.

I could only gaze at them, my heart swelled to see how much they wanted their freedom. How they looked up to us with admiration, but I was distracted. I was never really paying attention, and even though Kikyo and Kaede had asked multiple times what was wrong, I could never have the guts to tell them.

I betrayed them, I let out our secret to a demon, a high ranking one at that. Any moment, this whole group could be slaughtered because of me, their hopes and dreams would be destroyed in an instant.

I growled, how could I?

"Rin-sama, if I may." A voice beckoned and I looked up from my huddled position to see a bowing Hojo. I had to stop myself from rolling my eyes. "Stop bowing to me, Nobunaga." I got up and I felt him flinch, "I am just like you, we are all equals. So get up."

He hesitantly did so, his eyes widening at the sight of my anger and he straightened up. He wasn't that much taller than I, and he was pretty clumsy as well. The few times I had actually paid attention to the practices, he could barely hold up a sword and swing without hurting himself in the process.

"If I may be so bold, I have noticed that you haven't been paying attention to anything." He took a step forward and I took one back. "Kohaku-san said its been like that for a while...but for our supposed savior, you should take this much more seriously."

By now everyone had froze and looked over at us, my own face was beginning to flush and I felt the tip of my ears began to throb. Anger rolled over me swiftly and my surprised expression darkened.

"I am taking this seriously." I hissed, my hand was just itching to slap him across the face. But I refrained, after all, I wasn't going to make a fool of myself in front of everyone here. I could hear Kaede and Kikyo rushing up to me but I didn't care at the moment, I was just focused on this new comer, who had the audacity to come up to me and declare that I didn't care about our cause.

"In fact, Nobunaga, might I remind you of your position!?" I scoffed, a sarcastic smile on my face. "You are one of the most clumsiest person I have ever met! You- you can't even hold a sword for Kami's sake!" I marched past him and over to a girl and grabbed a bow and arrow from her hands.

"Now watch and learn," I notched an arrow onto the bow and held it up, the sound of the string being pulled back only lasted for an instant before I released it. The arrow soared through the air and...missed?

Missed?

I could hear Nobunaga snicker, and the people around us shuffled uncomfortably while others began to gossip between themselves. The bow fell from my hands and my jaw dropped, how did I miss?!

A comforting hand was placed on my shoulder, "Your tired, just rest." Kikyo's voice soothed but I shrugged out of her grip. I couldn't accept this, this shouldn't be happening. Is there something wrong with me? Surely two weeks without training haven't rendered me useless, have they?

"This session is over," I whispered, immediately all the weapons evaporated and I turned towards the well. "You can't do this, you have no right!" Nobunaga shouted but that didn't stop me. I swung my legs over the ground and escaped down the well.

White Noise

As soon as I woke up I ripped the covers off me and got up. Everyone around me was asleep, but I knew it wouldn't remain like that for long so I raced towards the doors. There should be a reason why he hasn't seen me yet. Was it because of what I said!? Or did something bad happen to him?

I pushed past the doors that separated the girls dorms and the halls, immediately florescent lights beamed at me and I squinted my eyes. My vision filled with white for an instant before I could finally see around me.

The halls were empty much to my relief, so I went down the familiar trail I was brought down many times to see Sesshomaru. Eventually I came upon the doors that led to the medical wing, there I knew there would be guards posted at every corner, my hand reached out to push through but I paused.

This would be risky, in fact, they could kill me for this. Surely Dr. Naraku would not hesitate to have me killed, and if I did die, the whole group wouldn't be able to escape. This isn't a good idea, stop being selfish!

I sighed, I knew I couldn't go through with this. Just as I was to turn around, two voices commanded me to stop. I looked back and noticed two ogres lunging at me. I didn't have time to react, my body smashed forward and before I knew it I was racing down the halls, flying past confused doctors and doors.

I was running, darting left and right, where was he!? My eyes stared down every form, but he wasn't there. By now my legs were beginning to ache and I was getting out of breath, I could hear their heavy footsteps not too far behind me and I knew that this was it. The end of me.

Their arms grabbed mine and I yelped when I was thrown onto the wall. The air was knocked out of my lungs and I found myself gasping for breath. My legs flailed above the ground and my hands clawed at theirs. The doctors gazed at me pitifully as I felt the life slowly seethe out of me.

In a sweep of wind I was on the ground and the ogres were beside me, I gulped the air and weakly looked up at Dr. Kaze. Her ruby eyes glaring at the two body guards and her hair neatly pinned above her head, she was as impeccable as ever.

"I do not tolerate bimbos tossing around my patient." Dr. Kaze said darkly, her glare becoming increasingly burning. The said bimbos were squirming under her gaze and I closed my eyes and began to catch my breath.

"She was running around," One replied sloppily, and I could tell by the woman's silence that she was not amused in the least. I got up slowly, squeezing my eyes at the burning pain in my throat before I could feel a hand help me up.

"Excuse me," Kagura said before heaving me away from the two shuffling ogres and walking down the halls. I could tell by her aura that she was irritated so I decided not to make conversation and instead regain my breath.

It didn't take much longer for us to reach an unfamiliar room and she left me on the chair before going to close the door. This isn't Sesshomaru's room. I looked around and noticed that there were vials at the ready on the desk. Why so many? And there was one that I didn't recognize on it as well. Something wasn't right, and I knew that I should be on alert even though she just saved me.

The click of her heels brought me out of my thoughts and she stood before me, her hands clenched into fists. "Thanks, for saving me-" I began but she completely interrupted me.

"I didn't save you," She spat, shifting her body so that it was in front of the doorway. "You just saved me the convenience of calling you." She grinned. My eyes widened, this wasn't the same woman that had helped Sesshomaru when I was hurt, no, she was cold. And I should have realized this long before.

Her demonic aura began to seep out of her, and it suffocated me. "I don't understand why he continues to protect you," She scoffed, reaching over to the table and I took the opening to lunge forward.

Everything happened so fast I didn't even comprehend what happened as my body hit the ground. My eyes flung open when I heard her grab a scalpel and her hand lurched forward, almost on instinct I created a barrier around me and she flew back, the sound of skin sizzling and the smell of burned flesh was enough to tell me what I had just done.

I quickly got to my feet and backed up until my back touched the wall, my hand outstretched and my breaths came out in pants. No no no no!

Kagura got up with a groan, tears down her face but a scowl on her face as she assessed the burn mark on her arm. "I knew you had powers...but to this extent." Her eyes glazed over as a wicked smile made its way onto her features.

"I will have the benefit of putting your life to an end. You were to be executed three days from now anyway." Kagura said in a nonchalant manner, my eyes widened. "Three days?" I gasped, this whole situation had my mind fusing, what was I supposed to do? How am I going to get out of this?

The uninjured arm was raised, and an old-style fan was presented. Her eyes shone with determination as with a flick of her wrist, a blade made entirely of wind hit the barrier. I gasped at the impact and my barrier sizzled.

"Stop!" I cried, I wasn't prepared for a battle, and against a wind sorceress, and one that has probably been in countless battles, I knew I stood no chance. Three more struck me and I grunted, I knew I could survive more, but I had to think of a plan fast.

I can't attack her again, knowing what could happen it would put a risk at our entire group. I heard her yell a command and suddenly a tornado was flung at me, the walls shook and cracked and I felt my barrier falter. I-I have to attack!

I lowered my hands and the barrier shattered, immediately I saw her hand raise once more and a cackle escape her lips. And disk of energy formed in my hand and I lunged to the side and threw it at her. Her attack hit the area where I just was and unfortunately, she dodged the energy with ease.

I crumbled onto the ground with a groan and I raised my hands quickly to form a barrier. "Did you really think you could toss a simple orb and hit me?" She scoffed, a flick of her wrist quickly sent a combination of wind sickles and tornados towards me. "You have to actually aim!"

Another dozen of sickles hit me and I grunted as the barrier cracked. This can't be going on forever, I don't think it can handle another one of those. I took in a shaky breath and ran towards her, my barrier still in tact. Her eyes widened and she threw sickles after sickles, I kept pushing forward and eventually the barrier gained cracks all over the surface.

When I was within arms reach, I allowed it to disappear and grabbed her arms. Kagura growled and I dragged her to the ground with me, my powers surged through my hands and she screamed in agony as energy crackled around us.

"No...more!" I growled and released another burst, but Kagura shoved me back with her demon strength and my head hit something hard. My vision went white and my body fell to the ground.

Pain...that was all I could register. I screamed and something warm trickled down the side of my face. It was like that for a while before my vision returned to me and I saw her holding a needle in her hand filled with the liquid I didn't know again.

"I don't even know what you mean to him. Someone as pathetic as you," She knelt down and as the needle drew closer. Something about what she said rekindled something within me, so I managed to gather whatever energy I had left to slap the needle out of her hands.

It shattered on the ground and my hands had her shoulders, she retaliated by digging her claws into mine. "I mean more to him than you." I whispered as a bright purple light exploded around us, the only thing I could really notice was her screams, and the way her body disappeared from underneath me.

The light faded, and my vision was beginning to darken. Is this the end? I looked at myself and noted that I was coated in blood.

"Rin."

I looked up, my vision quickly beginning to fade away, but I smiled. There he was, the person I was looking for. His amber eyes were wide in surprise and his shocked expression didn't fade away this time. Tears flowed down my cheeks and I weakly reached out towards him, "Sesshomaru..." I whispered before everything faded away into darkness.

"N-Now?" Kirara gasped, her red eyes wide with surprise and anxiety causing her to peel at the cuticles in her hands. Kohaku nodded, his hands gripping her shoulders.

"Midoriko has announced that she will infiltrate the facility in two days time. The weapons will arrive tomorrow." He informed her and his lover nodded enthusiastically, she knew the dangers of doing this but she firmly believed in the cause.

His eyes softened and his hands drifted to her hands, "Love, you don't have to do this...I am not sure if they will be so accepting of you-" He began but her lips collided with his. His eyes fluttered closed and he relished the moment, the way her soft lips molded with his, and how her warm muscle prodded his.

But they quickly separated, knowing that the guards and cooks would soon report to the cafeteria. "I love you," She whispered before turning away and racing down the hall which she came from. And Kohaku did the same, his lips curled upwards and something within him burst forth.

Two more days, and they would be free.
