Chapter 9: Hanging-out

Eddie's P.O.V

I headed outside with the small mirror Lord Death had given me before coming here.

I proceeded to contact Lord Death, forty-two forty-two five sixty-four. The small mirror began to riple and a familiar face popped up.

"Lord Death, weapon Eddie reporting"

"Oh Eddie hi hi, how are you?" Lord Death responded.

I noddded, "I'm good sir I have found my partner Maria, she is a bit injured so we will return in a couple of days after she has recovered"

"Alrighty then! Contact me whenever you are ready to go, I will let the witches preform the transportation spell!"

"Alright then thank you very much Lord Death!" I answered back. I hung up and put the small mirror back into my pocket.

I suddenly heard a loud laugh coming from inside, which I could recognize a mile away.

I went back inside to find Maria laughing with Peter, for whatever reason, she was grabbing her sides and that worried me.

"Maria be careful your wound might open with all that laughing" I said running to her side.

She pouted, "Its fine! You know what they say, laughter is the best medicine!"

"Yeah for people who are having a bad day or are depressed" I said.

Maria rolled her eyes, "Whatever, I'm doing great, why don't the three of us hang out!"

My eyes widen, I wasn't really fond of the red headed elf was it really nessceracry for me to hang out with him?

"That sounds great" I said blandly.

Maria beamed, "Great!"

I sweat-dropped, she is so oblivious!

"Then let's hangout at the beach! Is it possible to stay away from those darn mermaids Peter?" Maria asked, the hell is she talking about?

"Hm not sure they kinda just do their own thing" Peter responded.

Maria put on a disgusted expression.

What the hell happened?

I sighed, how bad could this be, "Alright lets go to the beach"

Maria smiled, "Yeah! I think I have a swimsuit somewhere in my backpack" she got up to search inside her backpack, oh no, not her two piece! This girl! How can she be so oblivious! Argh!

Maria's P.O.V

Although I'm injured I wasn't in pain, just injured, a little salt water won't hurt me... right?

I rummeged through my backpack and found my plain black to piece.

"Yes! Found it!"

I grinned and began to change.

I have always loved the beach, not to mention that my birthday is on the first day of summer! So basically Summer and me go together like peanut butter and jelly.

"Eddie I'm done! Peter are ready lets go!" I yelled, man who ever thought guys were so slow!

"Maria are you sure? Won't your wound sting?" Eddie asked, I shook my head.

"Nope! While I was changing I noticed that my cut is starting to heal, maybe faster than before which is strange, maybe its becuase we technically are in a different world like Lord Death said right?"

I noticed that my injury was still bright red but it wasn't as bad as it was earlier, maybe this world is what's affecting me.

Eddie sighed, "Well whatever...can you at least but your shawl on, there are kids here!''

I blushed, whoops.

"By the way are they coming?"

"Yes they are!" Peter said coming back inside the room, behind him all the little cosplayers followed him in what seemed swim trunks.

"Well then let's get going!" I said heading towards the door.

The Lost Boys and Peter all cheered, but it seemed that Eddie was in a bad mood, I know he's just worried for me...but I asure you I am fine, and I'm not letting anything happen to ruin my good mood.

Laughter filled the air, salt water spalshed around.

"Yo Eddie!"

My partner turned around and as soon as he did I used my elemental powers to charge them with a wave knocking him over.

He began to laugh and wrap his arms around my waist and lifted me up into the air, I of course was laughing like a manic.

The Lost Boys crowded us and began to attack us with water, all while laughing.

As soon as Eddie set me down Peter grabbed my hands and lifted me into the air, we laughed, he let me go and I dived into the water.

I swimmed deeper, the ocean always gave me a calm feeling.

I began to make my way up tot the surface. As I reached the surface I began to make my way towards the shore, I laid on the sand for a bit before Peter joined me.

"was it fun?" he asked.

I smled, "Of course! I had Eddie and you guys with me, it was pretty fun! But still, I'm going to miss this place" I looked down sadly, it would be a matter of time before I had to go back to Death City.

I felt a hand on my hand.

"Don't worry Maria, I'm sure I'll see you again, no doubt about!" Peter gave me a charming smile. I think I finally understand why those mermaids faint upon hearing his name, I felt my face flush.

"I think I'll miss you the most" I whispered, oh Death my face is getting hotter!

"I feel the same way Maria" Peter said, I don't know if it was just me but Peter seemed to be getting closer to my face.

That's when I felt something, or should I say someone! It was Hook and his hobos!

I instantly shot up, "Peter! Hook is near by!"

He shot up as well, and out of the corner of my eye I saw something silver shimmer, it headed towards Peter and I pushed him out of the way, I felt a sharp pain on my shoulder. I looked down and it looked like a dart... a tranquilizer!

"D-damn!" my vision instantly began to blur.

"Maria!" I heard Eddie yell for me.

It's no use...I'm going to collapse.

I close my eyes and everthing went black.
