A/N: So um, yea sorry for disappearing for two months.

"Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by faming the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement." -Golda Meir

Three days.

I took in a shaky breath and stared off into the wall. What happened to everyone? All I can remember is.. And that's when I felt the lingering sensation of canines ripping through my neck.

I gasped and instinctively my hands flew to my neck and a shudder crawled down my spine. I furrowed my brows as I felt something wrapped around my neck. And now when I thought about it, there was a faint throbbing around the area. I looked towards Sesshomaru for answers.

"You could have gotten yourself killed." His tone turned much deadlier, but the anger was more directed towards my injuries than my actions.

"I had to help you." I murmured while picking up a strand of hair and twirling it around. I looked at him in the eyes, I couldn't bare to even imagine Sesshomaru being hurt or...killed.

And this cause isn't his, its mine. He didn't have to help us, he chose to.

I gulped, "And the others?"

Sesshomaru stood up and moved to a table beside us, picking up various metal things. "They are in the other rooms." He signaled to the door and I gazed towards it. Good, they are safe. I could finally let out a breath of air.

"Thank you," I whispered, smiling at him and Sesshomaru turned around with unusual instruments. I quirked a brow, What are these now? He pulled up a chair and carefully placed a white wire with a dot at the end on my chest.

"Breathe." He commanded and I did so, this was familiar. I think he is checking my heartbeat? Something like that.

Sesshomaru stopped and brought up a small lamp to my eyes. I squinted as a bright light flashed in my eyes uncomfortably.

After several more inspections, he nodded and placed them all back in a drawer. That was usually a sign that everything was well, I took the chance to slowly stand up and walked towards the small vanity in the corner.

I chocked, my trembling fingers touched my face. I felt hands grip my shoulders reassuringly but all I could look at was my reflection. What could have happened when I blacked out?

I was amazed at how I did not feel any of these injuries. There was the bulging black eye, split lip, bandaged neck and swollen face. Redness dotted my face and there were healing cuts here and there.

Overall, it wasn't pretty.

I groaned and flopped back onto the bed, I heard feet shuffle quietly against the ground and the creak of the chair. I began to appreciate how soft this bed was, and for a moment all I wanted to do was close my eyes and sleep for another few days.

That's when something clicked, this bed was too soft. "Where are we?" I asked, my voice muffled by the pillow that was suffocating me.

"My home." He replied coolly and I shot up, my head snapping in his direction. His house!? I looked around the room and indeed, this did look like something he would own.

The walls were a sophisticated gray, and there was a porcelain dresser and matching nightstand. The room was large as well, there was a vanity, silk curtains and a beautiful chandelier at the center of the room.

My eyes followed every detail of the room, appreciating the small details on the furniture and noticing how large this bed was. Practically five people could sleep on here comfortably, looking up I noticed there were beautiful white drapes that clung to the decorated wooden stands that held up the bed.

"You didn't have to." I gasped, my mouth falling open in shock. Sesshomaru had a satisfied smirk on his face before he rose and began walking towards the door. He glanced at me expectantly as he opened the door and began to walk out.

I sighed, but I knew that he wouldn't leave me here alone. "Fine." I grumbled as I tossed aside the sheets and trudged towards him. As soon as I made my way through the tall doorframe my jaw hit the floor.

The halls were long and spacious, maids flowed through the room and humans did as well. There were many doors and the sounds of people talking softly filled the house. I spotted his swaying silver hair and followed.

He led me down the stairs and through many halls, after a while I began feeling dizzy with all of these rooms. Trying to remember all of them would be impossible, so exploring was definitely something I wouldn't do alone.

After a while he stopped at two large double doors. Grabbing each of the handles he pulled them open with ease. Another extravagant room greeted me, Jeez. How rich can a guy be?

The floors were all wooden, polished and gleaming brightly against the shining chandelier. There was a large table that was probably as long as a hall back in the research center, and wide as hell. It was a beautiful dark wood, a nice contrast compared to the floor and everyone was sitting there, chattering and eating happily.

It all halted when I came in, however.

"Rin!" I heard Kaede shout and saw her figure running towards me, Kikyo and Miroku were also in suit. They all looked relieved and we exchanged hugs, "I can see everyone is doing great." I commented and Miroku nodded.

"Of course, all thanks to Sesshomaru." Miroku acknowledged, giving a nod in his direction before turning back to me. "We made contact with Midoriko and the others, they will be arriving tomorrow."

I nodded, glad that everything was now going to be in control of someone higher up.

"Are you alright?" Kikyo asked, now narrowing her eyes and observing my features, "You got hurt badly, and you were unconscious for three days."

Ah, how could I have forgotten my fucked up face?

"I'm fine," I assured, I felt my face grow warmer and warmer, and now I wasn't so sure if I could face everyone now. Of course Kaede being my mind reader knew how uncomfortable I was feeling, excused herself and the others.

I let out a sigh, "I don't know how you could look at me." I muttered, I looked at the ground and just stared at my white socks. Sesshomaru didn't say anything, per usual but instead he gripped my chin and stared at me in the eyes.

It was a look that said it all, something in those deep orbs made my blood start pumping. His amber eyes peered into my dark brown ones, as if he was searching for something. "It does not matter what you look like." He comforted, our gazes lingered a while longer before he released my chin.

We ventured deeper into the dining room, immediately all eyes were on us. Some flinched while others narrowed their eyes at Sesshomaru, but unlike me, he didn't seemed fazed by all of those looks. That was something I admired about him the most.

"Hello everyone." I greeted as warmly as possible, the air immediately grew lighter and people smiled at me. I glanced at Kikyo and she nodded her head in encouragement. I took a seat next to Sesshomaru and instantly the servants flew in with large saucers stacked with food.

The delicately set them down, and I couldn't help but giggle at the group as they stared at their food eagerly. Glasses were filled with drinks of all kind and I was amazed at all the variety of food, some were things I never saw before.

I immediately dug in, and watched as the others too began chewing to their hearts content. Aromas of all kinds filled the room and as the quickly as the food was eaten the servants were quicker to replenish.

I looked towards Sesshomaru to see him not eating, he merely held a glass of sake and sipped it from time to time.

Thank you, Sesshomaru.

Yea so you guys waited for two months, I'm so sorry. I don't have a valid excuse so all I can say is that I will update sooner since I finished with my third year of high school. Wow, I can't believe I'm a senior.
