A/N I know you probably hate me and i don't blame you, but i have seriously been lacking in motivation for this story. It's been so bad that I am debating if i even want to continue writing this story.

I know a few of you want to see more of the bad Klaus and i want to give him to you, but just be patient with me. Klaus is a badass and that darkness comes out when he is on a job, but not when he's with Caroline. He controls when hes with her because of how much light she brings into his life.

But for now here is an update. This will be part one of a two part date weekend between Klaus and Caroline. Since Klaus is leaving for his job on Sunday i felt turning it into a weekend would make you less mad at me.

Excuse any grammar errors or if at any point the story doesn't make sense.

Enjoy...

"Niklaus I asked you to come by the office weeks ago," Elijah said on the phone as he got into his Lincoln about to head to lunch with his wife.

Klaus rolled his eyes as he sat at his desk waiting for the clock to strike noon so he can take off for the rest of the day. He had plans with Kol at 1 p.m. at the family studio downtown and afterwards he had his date with Caroline.

"Well I have been rather busy Elijah, with planning the job for next week and my actual job so giving The Originals there plate hasn't really crossed my mind."

"True, but I still expect that plate in my office sooner rather than later."

Klaus sighed, "Fine I'll be at the studio this afternoon, so maybe I can do it after."

"Why are you going to the studio?"

"Kol and I are having a sparring session, our little brother challenged me to test his new skills and I couldn't refuse," he smirked leaning back in his chair.

Elijah chuckled, "Yes well as long as you don't beat him to a pulp that should be interesting, maybe I should join you."

"Come again?" Klaus sat up right to make sure he heard his brother correctly.

"I said maybe I should join you."

Klaus chuckled, "Seriously, Elijah sparring. What has it been four years."

"Need I remind you who trained you Niklaus," Elijah smiled as his brother scuffed.

"Very well, let's see if you still got it old chap. Will be there at one," Klaus smiled as he looked at his clock happy that he only had 20 minutes left in his work day.

"Very well I'll be there," Elijah hung up the phone.

Klaus chuckled as he slipped his phone in his jacket pocket, "this should be fun."

Caroline heard her phone ringing as she walked down Union Square heading toward Arch Boutique, a shop she would meet Elena, Matt and Bonnie at.

"Hey I'm almost there."

"Good, we need to make sure you are ready for tonight," Elena said happily. "I mean it's finally a first date, maybe a first of many firsts tonight."

Caroline chuckled knowing very well what Elena was implying, "I'll see you in a few." She hung up and put her phone in her purse as her picked up her pace. She was dressed in skinny blue jeans with a white tank top that rippled at the end and her pair of pink Chuck Taylors.

Caroline opened the front door to the boutique and smiled because she and Elena discovered it when they went shopping for graduation and it was full of antique clothing they thought it was such a unique shop that they went back almost every time they went shopping to look around. Tonight was the perfect opportunity for Caroline to pick out something to wear.

"HEY!" Matt, Elena and Bonnie screamed as Caroline walked toward the lounge chairs.

Caroline smiled, "Hey," she walked up to them giving them each a hug. "So are we ready to shop?"

Elena smiled, "you have no idea how ready we are for you to go on this date."

Matt chuckled, "I agree it took you two long enough."

Caroline rolled her eyes when she looked at Bonnie, "At least Bonnie has nothing snarky to say."

Bonnie chuckled, "I agree with them Care, I saw you and Klaus together this should've happen sooner."

"Yeah yeah just help me pick something to wear tonight," Caroline chuckled as they walked toward the back of the store to search for an outfit.

Klaus finished warming up on the punching bag, he was unwrapping his hands when Elijah walked in with his duffle bag.

"Ah Elijah, I didn't think you were going to show up mate," Klaus smirked as he wiped the sweat off his forehead.

Elijah chuckled, "I said I would, where's Kol?"

Klaus turned to his side pointing at Kol as he set up the mats for their sparring session.

"I see, well you to have at it well I get changed and then I'll spar with the winner," Elijah said as he walked toward the locker room.

Klaus chuckled, "very well and your plate is in the locker room," he smirked watching Elijah wave his hand. He walked up to Kol who was stretching on the mat, "you ready?"

Kol smiled, "Are you ready brother?"

Klaus rolled his eyes as he stood opposite his brother getting into stance, "let's see what you've learned little brother."

Kol smirked as he readied himself as he and Klaus stared each other down. Kol saw Klaus nod indicating that he was ready and without hesitation Kol attacked him.

Klaus smirked as his brother came at him. He noticed that his brother's movements were faster because it took Klaus a second to register where his hits were landing as he blocked.

"Good, your motion has improved now let's see you actually land a punch so I can—oof," Klaus was cut off as his brother swung his leg and landing it in his stomach causing Klaus to stumble.

Kol smiled as he stood back in position watching Klaus adjust himself, "what's wrong Klaus didn't see that one coming, you must be losing it old man."

Klaus chuckled, "not bad," he said as she stood back in front of Kol, "now let's see your defense," he smirked as he quickly stepped forward swinging surprising Kol as he moved to dodge Klaus' fists.

"Remember brother never let your guard down," Klaus said as he landed a punch on Kol's chin. "It could be the last thing you do." He chuckled landing another punch to Kol's right cheek.

Kol growled in frustration pushing Klaus back before rushing forward with his fists flying only causing Klaus to smirk as he came at him.

"You know this job is more serious.," Klaus said and he ducked under Kol's first and brought up his knee to block his kick. "It is your life Kol, if Conner's brother Alexander finds out you weren't there to help you're dead," Klaus said seriously as he felt Kol's punches got more intense.

"I know," Kol said frustrated as he was finally able to get in movement with Klaus' blocks. "It won't be a problem."

"Then prove it," Klaus stated harshly as flipped his brother over and Kol hit the mats with a hard thud.

Klaus smirked as his brother laid there, he saw someone walk into the studio at the corner of his eye.

"Hey Lex," Klaus said catching his breath as Kol was laid out on the sparring mat.

Lexi looked at Kol and chuckled, "I see you're little bro still has a lot to learn."

"Oh shut it Lexi," Kol grumbled as he got up to stretch out.

Lexi smiled, "Anyway I got the information you wanted, I found him." She handed Klaus the folder.

Klaus couldn't help the sly grin on his face, "excellent, thank you Lexi I owe you one."

Lexi shrugged, "it's not a problem, Caroline is a great person, give this prick what he deserves."

Klaus nodded he knew he shouldn't have told Lexi why he wanted deeper information on this Trevor, but she wouldn't step up her search unless he told her why. Klaus opened the folder and saw a few photos of Trevor leaving an apartment complex in the financial district.

"What about Caroline?" Kol asked after he caught his breath.

"Nothing," Klaus stated as he closed the folder and headed to the locker room.

"Oh come on I like Caroline, what prick?" Kol said eagerly as he caught up to Klaus.

"Drop it Kol, I don't need your help on this one," Klaus said shoving past him to run into Elijah by the locker room door.

"Niklaus where are you off to I thought we were sparring," he looked between his brothers confused as his eyes landed on the folder Klaus was holding.

"What's that?"

"Nothing, next time brother I will beat you to a pulp, but right now I have some business to take care of," he walked past Elijah into the locker room.

Elijah scrunched his eyebrows in concern as his brother disappeared, "Kol do you know what this is about," he asked before turning his attention to him.

"No clue,' Kol shrugged, "I know it has something to do with a girl he fancy's but other than that you got me."

"A girl?"

"Yes," Kol said patting his brother's arm, "the ruthless wolf Klaus has been slightly tamed by a beautiful blond."

Elijah nodded, "why haven't I been told about her?'

Kol shrugged, "you know Nik, how long did it take him to tell you he was seeing Tatia."

Elijah sighed, "True. Well if our brother is seeing someone I would at least like to know her name."

"Caroline," Kol smiled as he walked to the bench with his gym bag.

Elijah nodded, "well since we're not going to spar mine as well get a good workout in, on your feet Kol."

"What," Kol said as he rubbed his neck with his hand, "I just got my workout it's not my fault our brother has 'business' to attend to," he groaned.

"Very well," Elijah said as he walked up to the punching bag, "I do expect you to be ready, you leave along with Klaus on Sunday."

"I know," Kol sighed, "I'll be ready."

Elijah nodded before he started to hit the bag.

Kol wiped the sweat from his forehead with the bottom of his shirt as he pulled his cellphone out of his gym bag on the bench.

"Hey Kol," Bonnie chimed at the other end.

Kol smiled, he had to admit he's been enjoying his time with Bonnie and he could even go as far to say they are dating.

"How's my feisty accountant doing, bored at work I hope."

Bonnie chuckled, "My job is not boring…"

Kol chuckled, "of course not darling."

Bonnie rolled her eyes, "fine it's not that boring."

Kol smirked as he leaned against the wall, "I bet if I came down to your office we'd find a way to make numbers exciting."

Bonnie chuckled, "I don't doubt it, but" she sighed, "with my boss gone for the next week it seems I'll be stuck in my office later than usual for a while."

"I'm actually with your boss and I bet I can twist his arm in letting you free for the weekend," Kol smirked as he stood up from the bench.

"No!"

Kol chuckled, "oh come on sweetheart. That's the perk of dating your boss's handsome brother, you can use me anyway you like."

Bonnie rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile, "Klaus gave me this job for a reason and I intend on finishing it before he gets back."

Kol groaned, "It's one weekend, plus I'm taking off back to London for the week on Monday remember, I'd like to spend it with you Miss. Bennett."

Bonnie felt butterflies in her stomach, "fine but don't you dare say this was my idea because it wasn't."

Kol smirked, "trust me darling this is all me."

Bonnie chuckled, "Ok I'll see you tonight."

"Of course," Kol smiled as he walked up to the locker room door, "before you go sweetheart I did have something to ask."

"Sure, what's up?"

"How's Caroline?"

"She's fine, to my understanding her and Klaus are finally going on an official date tonight," Bonnie said with a hint of confusion in her tone. "Why?"

"Klaus have been a bit moody today," Kol chuckled, "but I guess it's because he hasn't gotten past snogging with dear Caroline."

"KOL!"

Kol laughed, "What I'm just putting it out there."

Bonnie shook her head, "did you ever think maybe he's just nervous that it's actually their first date."

Kol rolled his eyes, "that is not half as fun as my thought, but I guess."

Bonnie chuckled, "I'll see you tonight at eight Kol. Let me get some work done before you convince my boss to let me play hooky all weekend."

Kol smirked, "will you be topless in this hooky playing?'

"Bye Kol."

"Chao darling," Kol hung up his phone smiling as he walked into the locker room to see Klaus putting on his suit jacket.

"So you're finally getting out of the friend zone tonight," Kol said as he walked up to Klaus.

Klaus scrunched his eyebrows in confusion, "what are you talking about?"

"Your date," Kol smirked, "with Caroline."

Klaus closed his closet, "how did you hear about that."

Kol sat on the bench next to his closet smiling, "well I am dating her best friend."

Klaus lifted his eyebrow in curiosity, "So you and Bonnie are dating? Here I thought you just wanted to shag her."

Kol clicked his tongue, "think so low of me."

"I don't have to think it Kol you've left a trail of broken hearts on more than one occasion," Klaus chuckled.

Kol shrugged, "that's fair, but so have you before and after that brunette minx."

Klaus nodded, "true but none of them worked for you or with you so consider this my warning brother. You break Bonnie's heart I'll make sure the next time you walk off the mat you'll be sore for a month."

Kol chuckled, "the next time were on the mat brother you'll be the one looking up at me from the flat of your back."

Klaus chuckled, "I'm glad we have an understanding."

"So are you going to fill me in on what Lexi handed you," Kol asked as he started untying his shoes.

Klaus shook his head, "No I can handle this on my own." Klaus stated firmly as he walked toward the door, "and tell Bonnie to take the weekend off. She's a great accountant but she doesn't have to work herself to death." He opened it and walked off.

Kol chuckled as he stripped and headed to the shower.

It was finally Friday night and Caroline was getting nervous. She's gotten to know Klaus better over the past weeks and it's been amazing, but now they were actually going on a date.

Now that Caroline was ready for tonight she felt her stomach flip as she finished the last touches on herself. Caroline went full out flapper for tonight, she had a deep red dress, curled her hair but pinned it up to look like she had a bob, and topped it off with a small thing of red feathers. She put on light eyeliner and mascara but she made her lips as red as her dress.

When she was satisfied with her makeup she put on her long white gloves, and jewelry, a few long pearl necklaces, her heart pendant and a few bracelets. She went to her closet to get the new shoes she bought, a white 5 inch heeled pump surround with a black lace pattern, not true to the twenty's but she couldn't resist they went with her outfit perfectly and it was a modern 20s party. She stood up from her bed and looked herself over one more time before she grabbed her clutch hearing knocks on her door. Her heart jumped as she took a deep breath and went to answer it.

Her mouth dropped when she opened the door to see Klaus standing in a suit with a black jacket, black vest, white shirt and black bow tie. Her eyes racked over him as he smiled at her and she saw his usual free curling hair was more controlled with gel. She was finally able to get out a "Hi" as she stood in her door way noticing him holding flowers.

"Good evening sweetheart," Klaus was at a loss for words when he saw Caroline open the door. She looked ravishing; the 1920s suited her he thought. His face landed on her deep red lips as she bit the bottom one. Klaus couldn't resist so he stepped forward and placed a light kiss on her lips pulling back smiling, "these are for you," he handed her the dark pink camellias.

"They're beautiful," Caroline smiled as she motioned for him to come in so she could put them in some water. She kneeled down by her sink and got a vase from the bottom cabinet before placing the flowers in water and the vase on the kitchen table.

Klaus stood by the doorway smiling when she looked back at him, "Shall we?" he held out his arm for her.

Caroline smiled as she walked up to take his arm "of course," Caroline paused to lock her door before she and Klaus headed out.

Caroline smiled as she slid into the cab with Klaus closely behind. She gave the driver the club address before leaning back. The club they were going to was called "Keystone Korner," it's a club in downtown San Francisco. She hasn't spoken to the owner in a while, but she featured them in the paper because it was easily becoming the most popular club in the city.

Tonight's part was the owner's way of saying thank you to Caroline for the article that's why she was invited. The theme tonight was the 1920s taking people back to glory days of jazz. Caroline found herself excited not only for their date but she's always wanted to experience a night like this. The Great Gatsby being one of her all-time favorite novels she felt like Daisy Buchanan, minus her being married and self-fish.

Klaus saw the smile on Caroline's face as she looked out the window, "what are you thinking about sweetheart?"

She turned her attention back to Klaus, "Nothing really I just think tonight is going to be amazing," she smiled.

Klaus picked up her hand and placed a kiss on her wrist, "I don't doubt it."

Caroline grinned as her fingers interlaced with Klaus'.

After a five minute cab ride they were stepping out on the corner of the club. Caroline was in awe seeing all the people lining the wall dressed as if they had riches share. Klaus looped her arm in his as they walked up to the front of the line.

"Hey Jake," Caroline smiled at the bouncer.

"Miss Forbes it's nice to see you again. Tonight is going to be one heck of a party," he smiled moving the rope so they could pass. "Enjoy."

"Thank you Jake," she smiled as her and Klaus walked past him hearing the crowds groans.

"You know love I think I'm going to have to start taking you with me everywhere if you get in to places that easy," he smiled as they walked past the coat check.

Caroline chuckled, "it's just my charm."

"I don't doubt it," Klaus chuckled as they stepped up to the hostess.

"Caroline Forbes," she said to the red headed hostess. Caroline couldn't remember her name because she wasn't the head hostess she interviewed when she was last here.

The hostess went down her list and smiled, "yes of course. Mr. Martin has been expecting you. I'll lead you to your table and let him know you arrived."

"Great," Caroline smiled as Klaus let go of her arm and she stepped in front of him and followed the hostess across the dance floor and up the staircase.

The club layout was simple, the dance floor, bar and stage were at the bottom floor, but its design was more classic then modern. The bar was made out of wood and so were the floors. On the top layer was the restaurant where people could enjoy a nice meal before they started dancing.

The club was already getting packed as people sat up top waiting for dinner and others lounged at the bar. Waiters and waitresses walked around with champagne as the band played lightly in the background.

"Here is your table," she motioned.

"Thank you," Caroline said smiling because they were sitting along the balcony she loved that she would get to see people dance.

Klaus pulled out Caroline's chair for her before taking his own.

"Dinner will be served shortly in mean time enjoy some champagne," the hostess motioned for the waiter.

A clean cut waiter in a black vest and white dress shirt handed them two glasses.

"Thank you," Caroline said.

The hostess and waiter both nodded before leaving.

Caroline placed her clutch at the corner of the table and took a deep breath as her eyes scanned the club.

Klaus was watching Caroline eyes light up at the way the small club was transformed as if they stepped into one of Jay Gatsby's parties. He smiled every time the corner of her lips curled up to smile.

"So tell me about this place?"

Caroline grinned putting her glass back on the table, "Ok."

Klaus chuckled at the excitement in her movement.

"It's owned by Luka Martin and his father Jonas, but Luka runs the club. They originally started out as club owners out east, but Luka's sister took over the business and it led him and his father to find business elsewhere. They didn't get into specifics but it was just bad blood I guess," Caroline shrugged.

"Anyway, now they've been opened in San Francisco for almost a year, and their business grew fast," Caroline said smiling as she picked up her champagne. "They're just as packed as Envy every night but I guess you can say they're a little more classy, they like to cater to both young and older crowds, this is why they have the dance floor and restaurant separate," Caroline motioned toward the dance floor, "each month they host a major party like this and each party represents a different theme, but on every other night they'll have their resident DJ or band play depending on the type of traffic they get.

Klaus nodded impressed by their structure, "how did you find out about them?"

Caroline cleared her throat a little before speaking, "Luka's Bonnie's ex-boyfriend."

Klaus lifted his eyebrows intrigued, "Oh really."

Caroline rolled her eyes, "Yes but that's not the reason why I did the story on their club. Jessica asked me at the end of lat year to get a nightlife section to run in the paper each month. Still being in my 20s she thought I'd be able to find San Francisco's nightlife," she smiled picking up her champagne.

"I started the series with Envy but Keystone Korner was the third to be featured, which was shortly after Bonnie ended things with Luka. So that was about four months ago, I think, but they ended on nice terms and he was a good guy," Caroline smiled.

Klaus chuckled, "So you being here tonight is a thank you long overdue?"

Caroline shrugged, "I guess, he's invited me to the other parties before but I've been working so much lately that it just never went through."

"Until now," Klaus smiled picking up his champagne.

"Yes on a date," she smiled.

Klaus smirked taking a sip of his champagne, "I'm only sorry it took me so long to ask you."

Caroline blushed turning her head back to the dance floor, "who said I would've accepted any sooner," she chuckled looking back at Klaus as he leaned forward on the table.

"Let me refresh your memory sweetheart," Klaus smiled as he leaned over the table and placed a light kiss on Caroline's red lips.

Caroline slowly opened her eyes as Klaus pulled away to see him smiling. She didn't know what to say because he wasn't lying; since they first kissed she's been hoping for a night like this.

"Well I guess you should refresh my memory more often," she chuckled.

Klaus smirked and was about to move to kiss her again when a voice stopped him

"You're looking mighty fine doll."

Klaus felt his body tenses as he turned ready to hit the wanker who dared to say that to Caroline.

"Hey Luka," Caroline said smiling as she got out of her chair to give him a quick hug. "The place looks great tonight."

"Thanks," he said as Caroline pulled back, "look at you pulling off the flapper look."

Caroline smiled before turning her attention to Klaus as he stood from the table, "Luka I'd like to introduce you to my date, Klaus."

Luka held out his hand, "Hey Klaus I'm Luka the owner of this fine establishment."

"Yes Caroline has informed me," Klaus shook his hand, "Nice place you got here mate."

"Thank you, and thanks to Caroline our business has been booming," Luka smiled.

Caroline waved her hand at him, "oh please this place was doing great even before I wrote about it."

Luka chuckled, "None the less allow me and my father to properly thank you," he smiled taking an envelope out of his pocket to hand to her.

Klaus looked at him with confusion as his attention turned back to Caroline.

Caroline waved her hands bath and forth, "just saying thank you is good enough Luka I can't accept gifts just for doing my job."

"Very well," he said putting the envelope back in his pocket. "Please enjoy the evening and everything is on the house."

"Luka that is not necessary," Caroline said shaking her head.

"Nonsense it's the least I can do," Luka smiled as he gave Caroline a quick kiss on the cheek, "I have to go but I'll see you later, maybe you'll even sing us with a little song."

Caroline laughed, "Not going to happen Luka."

"It was nice to meet you Klaus," Luka shook his hand quickly.

"Likewise," Klaus plainly stated as he watched him walk off. Klaus was still a little confused about what just happen, he unbuttoned his suit jacket and sat down. "Friendly fellow"

Caroline shook her head, "yes he's a good guy but even I admit that was little odd. We became friends when he was dating Bonnie but not that close," she chuckled.

Klaus nodded, "yes I thought that was rather strange him offering you money."

Caroline shrugged, "your guess is as good as mine."

"I am curious on why he said you'd sing later," Klaus smirked when he saw Caroline blush.

"You caught that didn't you," Caroline put her hand on her forehead, "when Bonnie use to invite us out it would be us with him and it would usually be on karaoke night with the gang…here."

Klaus couldn't contain the grin on his face as he leaned forward, "well in that case do you take requests."

Caroline smacked his arm, "shut up, I'm usually intoxicated when I walk up on stage."

"You do look thirsty," Klaus smirked as Caroline laughed as he ran his thumb along her knuckles..

Klaus chuckled as they stared at each other, "I bet you're a fantastic singer sweetheart."

Caroline rolled her eyes, "you won't be saying that when you hear me," she gave him a small smile pulling her hand out of his.

"Good evening on tonight's menu we have Salmon and Baked Ham," the waiter said politely as he showed them the dishes.

Caroline didn't realize how hungry she was until the smell of food hit her nostrils she smiled, "I'll have the baked ham."

"Salmon for me," Klaus said smiling at Caroline.

Caroline took her napkin off the table and put it on her lap.

"We also have the Waldorf Salad as a side," the waiter said politely as he placed all the plates down on the table.

"Thank you," Caroline smiled as the waiter nodded and walked off, "this looks delicious."

Klaus nodded as he took his napkin off the table and placed it in his lap, "Yes maybe after we eat you'd care for a dance?" he lifts his eyebrow smiling at her.

Caroline smiled shyly, "I'd love to."

As the dinner started to wine down, the crowd got louder on the dance floor and the horns from the jazz band buzzed through the air. The DJ was set up behind the jazz band giving the night a modern day touch.

Klaus smiled when he saw Caroline walking down the stair case as he waited by the bar. After dinner she excused herself to freshen up as Klaus told her he'd wait by the bar. She looked absolutely breathtaking walking down the steps, her hair bouncing with each step and her lips a deep red.

Klaus met her at the bottom of the stairs holding out his hand, "can I have this dance?"

Caroline smiled as she felt butterflies fill her stomach, "of course," she put her hand in his as he pulled her close.

The jazz band started playing a slower rhythm as a girl picked up the mic and started singing Ella Fitzgerald's "All The Things You Are."

Caroline smiled when the song came on, she didn't know much about jazz music but she recalls this song from her mother's collection. It reminded her of how her mom would sometimes come home after a long shift and sit in her office with a glass of white wine while her record player spun her favorite records.

Caroline's hand wrapped one arm around Klaus' neck and his hand took hold of her other one.

"I think you would've loved the 1920s Caroline, girls were reckless, sexy, fun, they literally use too dance until they dropped," Klaus laughed softly as he spun her. "So I've heard." He whispered into her ear.

She giggled as an unexpected shiver went down her spine, "I don't suppose that ever happened to their dance partners." She smiled, "because that would've been a shame."

Klaus smiled as he extended his arm with hers and twisted her back into him before whispering in her ear, "Indeed."

Caroline let her hand rest on his shoulder as they moved with the music as her eyes locked with Klaus', "what did you like about the 20s?"

Klaus tightened his grip on her waist as he leaned down by her ear, "all the law breaking."

Caroline body didn't contain the shiver as Klaus' breath hit her neck, she leaned back smiling, "Really so are you a bad boy Nik," she smirked as he chuckled lightly.

Klaus lightly shrugged, "I guess it depends on what you consider bad."

"As long as you're not out killing people I think being bad isn't hard for me to handle," she chuckled as she noticed Klaus' small frown before he masked it with a smile.

Klaus chuckled, "yes well, on to more mannered subjects, like how ravishing you look in that dress," he smirked before twisting Caroline away from his body to see her smiling as the fridge of her dress twirled with her before he dipped her as the song came to an end.

Caroline felt her heart beat pick up with the way Klaus was looking at her with a dimpled smile as she smiled up at him. It was the click and flash of a Polaroid camera that brought them back to earth as Klaus brought Caroline back up slowly.

The waitress smiled walking up to them fanning the picture for it to develop before she stepped up to Caroline, "women would kill to be danced with like that," she smiled at Klaus as she walked away.

Caroline blushed as Klaus put his hand on the small her back to look at the photo she was holding. She captured the perfect moment with Klaus and Caroline smiles clear as day, but it was the look in both their eyes that caught their attention. Klaus never broke eye contact with Caroline as he held her in that photo.

Caroline turned her head to look at Klaus as a dimpled smile graced his face, she handed him the photo, "it's yours."

Klaus looked at her smiling, "oh no sweetheart you can keep it."

Caroline lightly shook her head, "no I took the last picture of us so this one is yours," she smiled as she slid it into his jacket pocket, "something to remember tonight by."

Klaus chuckled lightly as he ran a hand through his hair, "thanks love, but I think I would've remembered tonight regardless," he took Caroline's hand pulling her toward him for a kiss. His hand went behind her neck as Caroline leaned into him, but as their lips pecked they were interrupted.

"Good evening everybody are we having a good time!" Luka said loudly through the microphone as the crowd of people cheered and clapped.

Klaus sighed in annoyance as Caroline chuckled; she let her arm stay looped in Klaus' as Luka spoke.

"Great, but the night isn't over yet. On top of our fabulous band and DJ it's open mic for anyone willing to sing," Luka smirked as the crowd started cheering.

"Now it's not karaoke so I don't want any amateurs up her killing peoples ears," he chuckled, "but people who would like to sing are welcome as long as its songs related to our overall theme, we are celebrating the 1920s so let it have a jazzy feel," Luka smiled, "as long as we can dance to it," he said moving his body before pointing to the band to start playing.

"They tried to make me go to rehab but I said, 'No, no, no'" Luka sang as the crowd cheers grew louder as he paused.

Caroline smiled when she heard the song he chose to sing as the crowd started cheering she felt Klaus' hand slip around her waist before he twisted her to face him quickly as Luka continued.

"Yes, I've been black but when I come back you'll know, know, know.

"I ain't got the time and if my daddy thinks I'm fine.

"He's tried to make me go to rehab but I won't go, go, go," Luka shouted as the band picked up the tempo and he started moving around the stage singing.

Caroline smiled as her and Klaus moved around the dance floor.

The song came to end as people started cheering before Caroline heard Luka's voice come through the mic again.

"Now that's how you mix modern and jazz," he laughed.

Caroline and Klaus stood on the dance floor clapping as the crowd cheered.

"Now that I set the bar," Luka chuckled, "I think it's time we have a lady set the bar," he smirked as he saw Caroline in the crowd.

"And I know just who to pick. Ladies and Gentlemen please give a good friend of mine some encouragement so she can come up and sing for use," Luka smiled as his hand pointed to Caroline while the crowds cheers grew louder, "Miss Caroline Forbes."

Caroline's jaw dropped as Luka introduced her but it was too late for her to back out as everyone's attention turned to her, she smiled embarrassingly as her eyes widened at Klaus.

Klaus whispered in her ear, "You don't have to do this sweetheart."

Caroline shrugged leaning forward, "it's a little late for that" she sighed as everyone around her stared at her.

"Oh it looks like she has a little stage fright, come on everyone let's give her some more encouragement," Luka said in the mic as he started clapping causing everyone in the club to do the same.

Caroline nodded smiling as she squeezed Klaus' hand before making her way to the stage. Klaus stood there his eyes never left her as she made her way up. When she got on stage and he saw Luka all he wanted to do at the moment was knock him out for causing her to feel like this.

Luka handed Caroline the mic smiling as she glared at him, but she took it with a deep breath. Caroline smiled at the crowd before turning to the DJ whispering him the song she wanted to sing. He nodded as he talked to the band.

"Well this was unexpected," Caroline said nervously as her eyes scanned the club to see all the faces staring at her. "I hope my voice doesn't scare any of you off tonight," she chuckles as the people in the club giggle. "I don't know if the song I'm doing is 20s, but it is Baz Luhrmann's definition of what Daisy Buchanan would've felt when she rekindled with Jay Gatsby."

Klaus smiled at her reference as he stood in the middle of the crowd watching her. Caroline stood still in the middle of the stage as the piano started in the background. She had a spot light on her so it caused her audience to go dark so she took her shot.

Caroline closed her eyes and listened to the music as she opened her mouth.

"I've seen the world don't it all had my cake now.

"Diamonds, brilliant and Bell Air now.

"Hot summer night, mid-July when you and I were forever wild.

"The crazy days, city light the way you'd play with me like a child."

As Caroline's voice echoed through the theater she opened her eyes to see people slowly moving on the dance floor, she smiled as she continued to sing.

"Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?

"Will you still love me when I got nothing but my aching soul?

"I know you will, I know you will, I know that you will. Will you still love when I'm not longer beautiful?"

Klaus stood there watching Caroline shine on stage; he was memorized by her voice and the expressions on her face as she went through each lyric. He didn't notice that he was in the way of people dancing around him until a couple bumped him. He tore his eyes from stage apologizing as he moved closer as if being drawn in my smooth sound of Caroline's voice.

Caroline smiled as Klaus' face came into focus in front of her as he stood watching her.

"Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?"

She smiled when Klaus smiled at her as she moved closer to him.

"Dear lord, when I get to heaven please let me bring my man. When he come tell me that you'll let him in. father tell me you if you can. Oh that grace, oh that body. Oh that face makes me wanna party," she sang as she rolled her shoulders and hips with the music causing the men in the crowd to whistle at her. "He's my sun he makes me shine like diamonds."

Klaus' eyes never left Caroline as she moved on stage, her hips swaying and shoulders moving. She looked absolutely stunning to him. He stood to the side of the stage as Caroline finished up her song.

Caroline sang the last note as Lana Del Rey came to an end, she smiled when she heard the people cheer as she stood there with grinning Luka came back on stage.

"Now that is what I'm talking about ladies," Luka smiled as he gave Caroline a kiss on the cheek. "Give her another hand people she just killed it."

Caroline smiled as she waved at the crowd and started to walk off the stage, opposite Klaus. As she took the steps down there were men waiting for her.

"Can I buy you a drink?" One asked.

Caroline smiled but she couldn't push past them as the crowded her.

"No let me?" another interrupted as a few stood behind him

"Gentlemen,' Klaus yelled, "if you don't mind and if you know what's good you," Klaus said firmly as he pushed past them. "The lady has a date," he glared as each of them as he took her hand, "let's get you a drink sweetheart."

Caroline's smile soften as he took her hand leading her through the crowd. Klaus kept her close as they walked to the bar.

"Two Disarono's on the rocks," he said as he let Caroline perch up on a bar stool. He faced her with a dimpled smile causing Caroline to blush.

She looked down at her gloved hands smiling, "well what'd you think?" she asked looking up slightly.

Klaus smiled placing Caroline's drink in front of her. He watched her take a sip as he sipped his, "you were amazing love, beautiful."

Caroline smiled against the rim of her tumbler taking another sip of her drink, "thank you."

"Plus after a performance like that I think I'm going to have to remind a few people that you're with me tonight," Klaus said annoyed as he motioned toward the men drooling over Caroline with his drink.

Caroline chuckled at the scowl on Klaus' face as he put his drink back on the bar, she put her drink down smiling, "maybe this will show them." She got off the bar stool and leaned into Klaus for a kiss.

Klaus captured her lips with his as his hand wrapped around her waist while the other went against her cheek. Caroline's hands rested against Klaus' chest as they explored each other's mouths, she didn't intend for the kiss to go that far but when his tongue slides across her bottom lip she couldn't refuse.

She titled her head slightly to deepen the kiss as Klaus' grip tightened around her waist. Caroline felt her body heat up as Klaus' hand slid up and down her back as she flushed her body against his causing it to slightly shiver.

Klaus wasn't going to be able to contain himself after he felt Caroline's body shiver so he broke the kiss as he leaned his forehead against hers before breathing, "let's get out of her sweetheart." Caroline looked up at him through her eyelashes smiling and nodding yes in reply. Klaus smiled as he put a few bills on the counter for the bartender as he snatched up Caroline's hand to lead them out of the club.
