Klaus tried to focus on the task at hand, which was opening his damn apartment door, as Caroline nuzzled his neck leaving light kisses and taking small bites, but when she bit his ear Klaus let out a low growl and shoved the door open.
There entire cab ride back to the apartment building was full of sexual tension as they sat next to each other, Caroline was never one for full on PDA but when Klaus' hand squeezed her thigh and his fingers ran along her inner thigh she felt her whole body react to his simple touch. She couldn't control herself so they ended up in a heated make out session when she made the mistake of looking at him to see him smirk.
After Klaus pushed open his door he heard Caroline chuckled as they stumbled inside he let go of her for a brief moment as he locked the door but as soon as he turned around he put his hand around her waist pulling her back to his body crashing his lips against hers.
Caroline got lost in his kiss and she pushed her body against his while his fingers were spread on her back holding her in place and his other hand went to the side of her face. Never in her life did she feel a kiss shake her to her core but Klaus' did, they sent sparks of electricity through her whole body causing it to crave more of him. Caroline hands gipped at his suit jacket as she turned her head slightly to deepen the kiss causing Klaus to let out a low growl when she bit his bottom lip.
Klaus broke the kiss to see Caroline's swollen lips turning into a small smile, but before he took her to his room he wanted to make sure she wanted this because Caroline to him was more than just another girl. He lightly kissed her lips pulling her close as both his hands wrapped around her waist, "are you sure?"
Caroline felt her stomach fill with butterflies for him asking, she stared at him smiling before she slipped her hands around his neck because she didn't want to fight it anymore, she's wanted Klaus since the night they fell asleep together on her couch, she pulled him closer smiling, "absolutely," she said before her lips covered his.
Klaus smiled against her kiss as he walked with her to his room while Caroline moved her kisses down his neck as he opened his room door. He walked up to bed with her still in his arms, he looked at her smiling as he loosened his bowtie, Caroline smiled as she slid her hands down his shoulders through his jacket taking it off his shoulders letting it fall to the ground. She loved the feel of his body even underneath the cloths as her hands slid back down his chest to start unbuttoning his vest and shirt.
Klaus felt his body responding to Caroline's touch as he slide his hands down the sides of her body until he felt the bare skin of her legs, he let his hands go underneath her dress sliding it up slowly before pulling it over her head leaving a trail of Goosebumps on her body.
Klaus froze with his shirt open and necklaces resting against his bare chest as he stared at the beautiful women in front of him as red lace lingerie complimented her milky skin, smirking when he saw her tattoo under her right breast along her rib cage his fingers lightly slid along the sides of her waist as he let out a slow steady breath, "beautiful," he said lightly as his hands lingered on her waist.
Caroline looked at him smiling when she noticed the heat of his stare. Klaus started to run his hands along her smooth skin bringing her closer to him as he stared kissing her neck. Caroline let her head fall back as Klaus moved his lips across her neck kissing along her shoulders. She started to feel her skin crawl with anticipation as she ran her hands up his bare chest pushing off his vest and shirt as her fingers tugged at his necklaces pulling him closer. She couldn't deny that his skin felt so good against her own.
Klaus moved his hands behind her, unclasped her bra as his fingers spread out on her bare back to hold her against him before he moved his free hand up her shoulder pulling down her strap slowly as he placed light kisses along her shoulder taking off her bra. Caroline felt her knees about to buckle as she leaned into him capturing his lips, a soft moan escaping her mouth as she rubbed against him, letting her hands get tangled in his hair.
Klaus felt himself getting harder hearing her moan as she slipped her tongue in his mouth, he slid his hands down her back lifting her up as her legs wrapped around him before crawling on to his bed. Caroline kicked off her heels as their kiss broke when her head hit his pillow's, she giggled smiling watching Klaus hover over her as his eyes grew darker with lust his necklaces dangling from his neck.
Caroline let her finger lightly scratch his chest before landing on the rim of his pants, she smirked as her and Klaus stared at each other. She unbuckled him and popped open the buttons on his pants, slowly sliding her hand inside, a low growl formed in Klaus' throat as she wrapped her hand around his manhood. She felt her body tingle at his length as she lightly stroked it.
Klaus leaned down kissing Caroline's neck as she her hands went around his waist as he sucked the nook of her neck causing her to lightly scratch his back, he smirked working his way down to the collar bone, letting his tongue drag over her breast before taking it in his mouth
Caroline felt her back arch as Klaus rolled his tongue around her nipple, lightly sucking before pulling away with a little bite as her hips started to slowly grind against him. He moved back up pressing against her as his mouth covered hers once more.
Caroline moaned and started to squirm underneath him, Klaus smiled against her lips as he slid his hand down her body reaching the rim of her panties. He heard her suck in a breath as he slid his hand underneath the red lace palming her sex. Caroline moaned lightly into his mouth as his fingers moved between her folds in search of her pleasure point.
Klaus smirked against her lips as his fingers moved slowly building up Caroline's pleasure. Caroline moaned as his fingers applied more pressure, "Klaus" she breathed against his lips as her hands gripped his back.
Caroline felt her orgasm building as Klaus' stokes sped up and his pressures alternated from gentle to hard, her hips were started to grind against his hand as Klaus moved his lips down to her neck. When Caroline felt him suck at the nook of her neck, lightly biting her made her back arch as he pushed his fingers in her sex a loud moan escaping her lips.
Klaus smirked as he kissed back up Caroline's neck capturing her lips in his as he made a final stroke causing her to come undone breaking the kiss with a load moan. She felt the little shocks of pleasure throughout her body as Klaus' hand slid up her stomach resting on her hip as he kissed her neck.
Caroline felt the weight of Klaus' body lift off her has he slid off the bed to remove the rest of his clothing and apply protection before he crawled back toward her stopping at her stomach placing light kisses as his fingers looped around her panties pulling them down slowly.
Caroline felt her body tingle as he left a trail of kisses her from her ankles to neck, "Klaus" she said lightly, "stop teasing me."
He chuckled placing a light kiss on her lips as he positioned himself on top of her. Caroline let out a light moan as Klaus pushed inside of her she felt her hands grip the sheets as her hips started to move with his.
A low growl broke free from Klaus' lips as he closed his eyes enjoying how she started moving her hips faster and her hands went to his back. He opened his eyes to meet hers and she smiled up at him as her blonde hair was scattered across his pillows. Klaus leaned down and kissed her because she looked absolutely beautiful as her body molded perfectly with his.
Caroline felt her breath quicken as she kissed Klaus her release getting closer with each thrust, "yes" she breathed against him breaking the kiss as they moved in perfect sync.
Klaus kissed her neck feeling his own release coming, "cum with me sweetheart," he whispered in her ear and shortly after he felt her nails scratch his back as she yelled his name in appreciation. Once he heard his name Klaus couldn't hold off any longer as he thrusts inside her few more times before he came undone.
Caroline enjoyed the weight of Klaus' body on top of her as she ran her hands along his back. She kissed his shoulder smiling as she looked down to see a triangle tattoo on the right side. She noticed his feather tattoo as soon as she slid off his shirt. Klaus kissed her neck lightly nipping it before he moved off of her pulling the sheets over both of them.
Caroline snuggled into the nook of Klaus arm her fingers drawing small circles on his stomach. Klaus smiled kissing the top of her head as his hand slid up and down her bare back. They both didn't say anything. They just embraced each other in that moment drifting off to sleep.
"Reach for the sky because tomorrow will never come," was the sound Caroline peeled her eyes open to Saturday morning before realizing it was her phone and knowing who's ringtone that was she groaned as she leaned over Klaus to reach for her clutch that somehow ended up on the night stand so she could answer it.
"Oof—," Klaus said when her elbow hit his stomach.
"Sorry," she said smiling as she laid on her back with her head resting on Klaus' arm digging through her purse before landing on the source of the sound.
"Hello," she mumbled.
"Good morning sweetie how's your day off," Jessica chimed through the phone.
Caroline groaned a little as her boss spoke, she put her hand over her face as she sat up in Klaus' bed holding the sheet to her naked body scrunching her eyebrows, "it's going good. What's up Jess?"
"Well here's the thing," she paused, "I'm going to need you to cover Stefan Salvatore's gallery opening tonight."
"What! Jessica you have got to be kidding me this was my day off," Caroline sighed as he ran her hand through her messy blonde hair. Klaus leaned against his head board watching. Caroline's expression change from comfort to aggravation in mere seconds; he chuckled at the way her eyebrows furrowed together when it happen.
"I know sweetie and I tried not to brother you, but no one else is available and that darling intern April didn't make a good impression on the owner of the gallery and he will not work with her, he found her unprofessional. This is Silas gallery we need a veteran reporter on this," Jessica pleaded.
Caroline nodded because she was starting to blame herself to think that April would be able to handle this after she gave the owner Silas Winters her word they would have a good reporter covering it before she left Thursday, "I'll do it but you send a photographer because the story is all I am doing."
"Thank you! You're a life saver Caroline that will be the cover for Sunday's paper in the entertainment section. I'll be sure to send Jesse."
"Is Derrick available," Caroline said because Jesse always had a thing for her and wasn't keen on hiding it, and she didn't want that to deal with tonight.
"No Derrick is out shooting the festival in Berkeley today."
Caroline rolled her eyes, "ok well tell Jesse to text me when he gets to the event."
"Thanks again Caroline and I promise I'll make it up to you," Jessica said happily as she hung up the phone.
Caroline fell back on Klaus' bed with her hands over her face groaning.
Klaus chuckled looking down at her, "I take it that was your day off getting cut short."
"Yes," she said from behind her hands, "I have to cover an art opening down at Silas Gallery tonight."
Klaus sat up right, "for Stefan Salvatore?"
Caroline opened her eyes and peeked through her fingers to see Klaus looking down at her, "how did you know that?"
Klaus chuckled and he leaned on his elbow looking at Caroline removing her hands from her face, "that happens to be Rebekah's boyfriend."
Caroline eyes widen, "are you serious? I've seen photos of this Stefan he's cute, good for her," she said proudly.
Klaus scoffed lightly, "yes he's bloody fantastic."
Caroline chuckled as turned on her side propping up her elbow leaning forward giving Klaus a peck on the lips, "aren't you grouchy in the morning," she smiled looking at him.
Klaus rolled his eyes, "only when someone I fancy finds another man attractive while she's still in my bed if I may add."
Caroline smiled, "he may be cute but you," she got closer, "you're amazing" she whispered against his lips before kissing him as her hand touched his cheek.
Klaus chuckled just as she kissed him, his hand going in to her hair as she leaned into him.
"I'll show you just how amazing," he murmured against her lips as he pushed her gently against the bed leaning over her. Caroline smiled as she ran her hands through his hair pulling him back down to deepen the kiss.
"I'm sorry I had to end up working tonight it just seems everything doesn't happen the way I plan," Caroline said to Klaus as they got out of the cab. Caroline was wearing a red over the shoulder dress her hair pinned to the side with curls hanging over her left shoulder and some black pumps. She and Klaus spent the entire day in his apartment. They watched a movie, talked, cooked together and made love before she had to finally drag herself home to get ready for tonight. "I think I'm going to have to fire my intern."
Klaus chuckled, "It's not a problem sweetheart I was planning on attending this event this evening anyway, at least now you have me as your connection," he smirked as Caroline looped her arm into Klaus' before they walked toward the gallery.
Caroline smiled as she saw all the beautiful photographs of people hanging on the walls, people of different shapes, sizes and color, it definitely caught her attention.
"Would you like to browse first or be introduced to the artist," Klaus asked as they walked slowly to gaze at a few of the photos.
"Browse," she simply as she stopped in her tracks letting go of Klaus arm as she stepped up to see a black and white photo of a young girl, her long dark black hair was in knots and her skin has smears of what she assumed was dirt on her face. The clothes she was wearing a shirt that looked made out of a rough fabric and had smears of black in different areas, but the one thing that stood out to Caroline was her eyes. The girl's eyes were big and looked full of hope as she smiled at the camera holding the end of her shirt. Caroline got lost in her eyes as they shined at the camera.
Klaus stood next to her smiling as her eyes got lost in the photo, "do you like it?"
"She's beautiful," Caroline said taking her eyes away from the photo.
Klaus nodded as he gestured for them to move on, "shall we." Caroline smiled grabbing a hold of Klaus' arm again, "of course."
"Nik," Rebekah said happily as she saw Klaus walking along the gallery wall.
Klaus smiled as his sister walked up to them, he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek, "Bekah," he smiled stepping back with Caroline still in his arm, "you remember Caroline."
"Of course," she smiled widely seeing that they were arm in arm, "it's nice to see you two stopped dancing around your chemistry," she chuckled giving Caroline a kiss on the cheek, "so have you released all your sexual tension."
"Oh," Caroline laughed awkwardly, "good evening Rebekah," she blushed looking at Klaus' sister before her grip tightened on his arm.
"Your manners are impeccable sister," Klaus said annoyed as Rebekah just rolled her eyes, "but if you don't mind I'd like to introduce Caroline to the man of the hour."
Rebekah smiled, "of course follow me," she led them toward the back of gallery where Caroline saw the guy from the pictures standing with someone who could be his twin if it wasn't for his darker eyes and his light curly hair.
"Stefan," Rebekah smiled walking up to them. Stefan turned toward her smiling as he walked up to his girlfriend giving her a kiss on the cheek noticing Klaus behind her.
"Klaus," he said politely holding out his hand, "glad you can make it."
Klaus shook his hand, "of course mate wouldn't have missed it," he released his hand noticing Stefan look at Caroline. "Please let me introduce you to," he turned toward Caroline smiling, "Stefan Salvatore meet Caroline Forbes, the aspiring photographer I once mentioned to you"
Caroline was caught off guard but quickly recovered smiling as she held out her hand to shake his, "nice to meet Stefan, let me just say your work is beautiful."
Stefan smiled softly shaking her hand, "thank you Caroline, it's nice to hear people appreciate my work and from what Klaus has told me you have an eye for art. I'd love to hear about your interests in photography when you have the time."
Caroline chuckled waving her hand, "Klaus is very kind but the thought of being a photographer was ages ago, but I do appreciate your work that is why I'm here."
Stefan nodded as his eyebrows furrowed slightly.
"I'm with the San Francisco Chronicle, I'll be the reporter writing your story tonight," she smiled.
"Oh yes of course," Stefan said as he recalled Silas mentioning an article about him, "I thought it was an April that would be interviewing me."
Caroline chuckled, "yes well do to minor difficulties with Miss. Young it'll be me doing the article."
Stefan nodded, "I see, well this isn't just about me let me introduce you to the guy who actually liked my work enough to show it," he looked at Klaus as he offered his arm to Caroline.
Klaus nodded as Caroline took his arm as he and Rebekah watched them walk up to Silas who was engaged in a conversation with an art collector.
"Look what the cat dragged in, it's nice to see you out and about killer," Damon smirked as he walked up to Klaus and Rebekah with a glass of scotch.
"Ah Damon I'd say it's nice to see you but it really isn't," Rebekah said annoyed as he stepped in front of her and Klaus. "What are you doing here if I recall you weren't exactly on Stefan's good side?"
"Why wouldn't I be here to see my little bro open his first big art show," Damon glared at Rebekah, "I'm his family not just someone he's sleeping with."
Klaus stepped between Damon and Rebekah as she was about to smack him his voice stern and threatening, "Watch your tongue mate, remember who you're talking to."
Damon scuffed taking another drink, "Or—"
"Klaus," Elena said happily as she stepped up by Damon grabbing his arm unaware of what she just interrupted, "what are you doing here," she smiled.
Klaus stood back beside Rebekah smiling at Caroline's friend, "Elena it's good to see you," he smiled as she gave him a small hug, "I'm here in support of Stefan, he's a mate plus Caroline is working," He gestured toward the beautiful blonde laughing.
Elena grinned looking at Caroline with Damon's brother, "I didn't know she was the one covering the event, I'm Stefan's publicist how do I not know about this."
"Maybe because Stefan realizes how much of a mistake it was to hire you," Rebekah sneered.
Elena narrowed her eyes at Klaus' sister, "excuse me. This event wouldn't be what it is now if it wasn't for my connections Blondie."
Rebekah stepped forward and so did Elena.
"Ladies," Klaus said firmly as he pulled Rebekah back, "need I remind you that tonight is not about either of you. Rebekah, Stefan needs a publicist. Elena, Rebekah is Stefan's girlfriend so get used to it or he may be in search of a new one."
Caroline and Stefan stepped up to the group laughing before it receded when they both notice the odd tension.
"Hey," Caroline said lightly, "what's going on?" she looked between all of them smiling.
"Nothing sweetheart everyone just introduced themselves, I assume you remember Damon," he smiled motioning toward Damon who gave her a half smile raising his drink.
Caroline nodded looking at Elena smiling stepping up to her for a hug, "Hey Lena," she pulled back smiling, "what are you doing here?"
"Stefan's my new client," she motioned toward him with her clutch, "remember I told you Damon asked nicely about an artist," she whispered.
Caroline eyes widen nodding, "oh ok, well if I would've known I would've told you I'd be the one writing about him."
"Ok sorry to interrupt but how do you know my publicist and my brother?" Stefan said calling a time out.
Caroline chuckled, "Elena is one of my best friends, and I met Damon, who I had no idea was your brother, through Klaus."
Stefan nodded acting like it was the most normal thing in the world, "oh."
"Yeah," she smiled.
"Ok well Silas said he is going to do a quick introduction and afterwards will do the interview," Stefan said generally so everyone would know, "so just browse until we're ready," he smiled.
Caroline nodded smiling, "great it gives my photographer time to get here," she gave Elena a quick hug as her and Klaus left to look at the rest of the photos.
Klaus and Caroline wandered around the gallery browsing through Stefan's photos talking about where they could've possible been taken. She didn't realize how comfortable she felt talking about art with Klaus, usually she would be talking to herself and whoever she was with would just act like they were listening, but Klaus actually listened.
"Good evening everyone welcome to the gallery debut of Stefan Salvatore and as the owner I have to say Silas Gallery is proud to represent such a fine young artist," Silas said raising his glass, "so here is a toast to the man of the hour, Stefan Salvatore."
Everyone cheered as Stefan stepped up to the mic, "thank you Silas for that warming introduction." He smiled as Silas patted him on the back before walking off stage.
"I don't know where to begin," he sighed looking around the smiling until his eyes caught Rebekah's smile, his tension soften, "the one thing I wanted to achieve with these photos is showing that everyone has meaning in their life, and I thought the best way to show life is by capturing normal people in their daily lives throughout the world. So that's what I did. I traveled to several different countries and wondered from state to state to give you the photos you see before you of people's life. I think these photos are able to show that it doesn't matter where you come from or who you are, a smile, frown, happiness and sadness are universal feelings, and each of these photos shows it."
Stefan paused for a second gathering his thoughts, "so I'd like to add that this gallery opening isn't really about me, but it's about them," he smiled raising his glass to the people in his photos, "thank you."
Caroline stood there smiling as she clapped a long with everyone else, she was glad she turned on her recorder for that speech because that was the true meaning behind his work she was hoping to hear. Then she felt someone lean up to her whispering, "hey beautiful" she turned and saw Jesse.
She rolled her eyes, "Jesse I'm glad you made it" she looked at him, "you were supposed to text me but whatever," she shook her head, "the man of the hour is over there," she pointed to Stefan. "If you could please take photos of him and his work that'll be good," she smiled.
"You look great, red looks good on you," Jesse smiled taking out his camera from his bag, "so bummer you got called into work on your weekend off."
"Yes it does," she sighed, "but that's the life of a reporter, and thank you," she smiled as she opened her purse to get out her reporter notebook.
"Let me know when you're done because I'm leaving after I get my interviews," she looked up to see Jesse nodding.
"Yeah no problem," he looked behind her, "do you know that guy," he asked pointing to Klaus who was walking up with champagne, "I'm just asking because he doesn't look happy with me."
Caroline turned her head to see Klaus she chuckled, "Yes, he's my date."
"A date, really" he lifted his eyebrows smiling.
Caroline smiled, "yes."
"Here you go love," Klaus smiled handing her a drink as he put her arm around her waist.
"Thank you," she took a sip, "Klaus this is Jesse the Chronicles photographer."
"Hey," Jesse said as he moved to shake Klaus hand.
Klaus' hand slid out from Caroline's waist, "hello," he said shaking his hand firmly.
Jesse nodded, "well I'm going to snap some photos," he brought his camera in front of him, "I'll talk to you later beautiful," he smiled winking at Caroline walking off.
Klaus' smile faded as he watched Jesse walk off, "Cheeky fellow isn't he?"
"That's just Jesse he's harmless," Caroline said as she turned to Klaus after seeing Stefan and Silas move toward the corner to talk, "I'm going to go do my interviews," she smiled.
Klaus nodded, "of course," he leaned in giving her a kiss on the cheek.
Caroline smiled before walking off in their direction.
Caroline turned off her recorder and closed her notebook chuckling as Stefan and Silas took a sip of their drinks.
"Thank you Miss Forbes I'm glad it was you who took over the article," Silas smiled holding out his hand for her to shake, "I hope this will be the start of a good relationship with my gallery and the Chronicle."
Caroline smiled shaking his hand, "that would be wonderful Silas," she turned to Stefan sighing a little, "your work is beautiful and I hope the next time we see each other it'll be less formal," she chuckled as Stefan shook her hand.
"Yes maybe you'll let me show you your way around a camera," Stefan smirked, "just like Klaus promised."
Caroline smiled softly as she drew her hand back, "I'd like that," she looked between Stefan and Silas, "have a good night gentlemen." She turned around and browsed over the room in search of her date when she spotted him laughing with Rebekah on his arm as they stood near the entrance smiling when he looked up and caught her eyes.
Rebekah calmed her laughing down smiling at Klaus following his gaze as she saw Caroline walk toward them, "she makes you happy doesn't she Nik?"
Klaus smiled glancing at his sister, "I don't know what you're referring to baby sister?"
She rolled her eyes chuckling, "oh come on Nik you smile like a fool every time you see her."
He chuckled, "Yes Bekah she makes me happy."
"Good," Rebekah nodded, "so does that mean you're going to tell her the truth?" she asked simply before taking a sip of her drink.
Klaus narrowed his eyes at his sister knowing what she was referring to, "this is not the time to discuss that."
Rebekah scuffed, "Oh please Nik, from what you've told me about her she's not an idiot she'll catch on."
Klaus sighed as Caroline got closure, "not now Rebekah."
"Hey," Caroline said smiling as she stepped in front of the siblings.
"Hello, I hope you're done hogging my boyfriend," Rebekah said jokingly to hide the tension between her and her brother.
"Yes well what can I say Stefan Salvatore is someone you want on your arm," she chuckled lightly.
"I am right here you know," Klaus said holding up his hands.
Rebekah smiled as she stepped out of Klaus' arm, "thanks for coming Caroline it's always lovely to see you, but the man of the hour is waiting."
Caroline smiled, "It's great to see you to Rebekah. We should hang out some time, just us girls."
"Nik has my number," Rebekah smiled kissing Caroline on the cheek before walking toward Stefan.
"Let's get out of here love," Klaus smiled holding out his hand for Caroline.
She let out a breath taking his hand as they walked out of the art gallery.
They stepped off the elevator with Klaus holding her hand; she smiled "I need to write up this story really quick."
Klaus nodded, "Of course love."
She smiled as she led them to her apartment, "As much as I like your place my office is at home," she chuckled as she fished her keys out of her purse.
Klaus chuckled as they walked into her apartment.
Caroline put her purse down on her kitchen table before stepping out of her shoes making her 5-inches smaller. Klaus watched her as she took off her earrings and bracelets before unpinning her hair and running her hands through it. He smiled as the curls in her hair landed on her shoulders he walked up behind her wrapping his arms around her waist. Caroline leaned in to him smiling when she felt him nuzzle her neck as his scruff lightly scratched her.
He moved her hair and kissed her neck before whispering in her ear, "if I stay I don't think I'll let you get any work done."
Caroline chuckled nodding, "yes and I'd let you distract me to," she turned around wrapping her arms around his neck. "I'll come over when I'm finish."
Klaus smiled shaking his head yes as he leaned in to give her a kiss, "don't take too long love. I'll leave the door unlocked," he said as he kissed her lips lightly. Just as Klaus was going to pull away Caroline stopped him as her hands cupped his face to give him another kiss a deeper kiss,
Klaus smiled as his hands held her waist giving in as she invaded his mouth with her tongue. His grip on her waist tightened when he heard a light moan escape from her mouth as he lightly sucked on her tongue, he knew if they kept this up it wouldn't stop so he broke the kiss with a sigh, "you're making it harder for me to leave Miss Forbes."
Caroline sighed catching her breath, "I'll write fast, promise," she smiled pecking his lips lightly before stepping out of his grasp.
Klaus smiled with a light sigh as he ran his hand over his mouth before walking out of Caroline's apartment.
Caroline walked into her room changing into a blue Spiderman spaghetti strap tank top and some booty shorts as she slipped her feet into her sandals before walking into her office.
She went through all her notes with Stefan smiling because he really was a great photographer and from just their simple interview he was an intelligent individual. She started thinking that she may just have to take up his offer to teach her about photography, she smirked because it surprised her that Klaus even remembered. Caroline couldn't recall the last time a passion she thought was lost actually came back, it felt nice.
She added the final touches to her article before sending it off to Jessica. Caroline looked at the clock on her phone and saw it was a little after 11. She picked up her phone dialing Jessica's number.
"Hey sweetie I just got your article, thanks," she said tiredly through the phone.
"No problem I hope it's enough content."
"It's plenty with the photos Jesse submitted, it'll look great."
Caroline nodded, "ok well good night Jess get some sleep."
"Night Caroline."
She looked at her phone tapping end as she closed her laptop so she could go to Klaus' apartment.
Caroline walked into Klaus' apartment locking the door behind her, she heard music coming from down the hall so she walked toward the noise and it was coming from Klaus' guest room. She lingered outside the door for a second listening to the smooth cello sounds of Apocalyptica she smiled pushing the door open slowly to see Klaus painting.
He changed out of his suit and was now wearing a grey V-neck Henley and a pair of faded black jeans with paint splatter on them. Caroline smiled as he focused on the canvas in front of him as she leaned against the door frame.
Klaus smirked, "it's not nice to linger sweetheart," he turned to look at her holding a paint brush.
Caroline smiled walking up to Klaus, "what are you working on?" she asked trying to look at his painting.
Klaus put his brushes down sighing, "well it's not done yet," he smiled motioning for her to stand beside him.
Caroline smiled as she stepped up next to him and saw he was working on a landscape painting, "oh my god Klaus this is beautiful."
He chuckled under his breath, "thank you darling."
Caroline looked over the rough brush strokes that created the trees texture and put up her hand wanting to touch the smooth lines that curved around the water.
"Ah no touching sweetheart, it's not dry," he smiled stopping her hand.
"Sorry," she smiled shyly, "where is this?"
Klaus sighed lightly as his hand slid down her back, "it's just a memory from home."
Caroline nodded, "it's beautiful."
Klaus wrapped his arms around her waist, "maybe one day I'll show you," he kissed her neck.
Caroline smiled as she leaned back into him while Klaus kissed her neck, his hands moving under her tank top. She closed her eyes as her head fell back against his shoulder when Klaus slid his hand up her stomach palming her breast. Even the lace fabric wasn't enough to mask the feel of his rough hands as Caroline enjoyed his tongue sliding along the curve her neck. She felt a surge of energy go through her body when Klaus stopped at the nook of her neck gently biting her.
"Klaus," she breathed as he smirked against her skin, his hand moving to her hips as he gently pushed her toward his lounge chair in his art studio.
Caroline turned around in his hands wrapping her hands around his neck as she moved to push him on the couch. Klaus sat down looking at Caroline as she crawled on top of him. She straddled him as his hands held her waist. She smiled as Klaus looked up at her wanting a kiss, she leaned down close enough to kiss him but not.
Klaus let out a low growl, "quit teasing me sweetheart," he smiled as her blonde hair covered her face, his hands slid up his back pushing her forward as he captured her lips in a kiss.
Caroline let her arms warp around Klaus' neck as his hand held her back. She pushed her hair behind her ears tilting her head to the side to deepen the kiss.
Klaus felt Caroline start grinding her hips into him as they made out on his couch. He smiled against her lips breaking the kiss to breath, "I think we should take this to the room love."
Caroline rested her forehead against his, "I think you're right," she smirked leaning down to kiss him slowly.
Klaus grip tightened around Caroline waist as he stood up with her still in his arms, she wrapped her legs around him her sandals falling off as Klaus held her close.
Klaus walked into his bedroom holding her, she was kissing him moving down his neck. He put her on the bed. She chuckled when she bounced looking up to see Klaus start to get undressed. Her eyes darkened with lust as she watched him pull his shirt off, licking her lips as she admired the muscles of his chest.
Klaus smirked as he climbed on the bed coming face to face with Caroline as his hand slid up her stomach to remove her tank top. Caroline swallowed the lump in her throat as Klaus hand moved behind her back unclasping her bra, she kissed his neck trying to calm down as his hand cupped her breast. Klaus slid his tongue along her neck as his hand moved down her stomach tugging at her booty shorts.
She kissed his neck slowly before sliding her tongue along his collar bone causing Klaus' breath to catch. She smirked feeling his hand grip her hip. Her hands slid down his sides moving to the front of his pants, she unbuttoned it pushing his pants down letting her nails lightly scratch his hips. Klaus smiled as he kicked them off.
He moved back on top of her and started kiss down her body, he slid his tongue across her breast pulling a nipple into his mouth lightly sucking before continuing down her stomach. Caroline breath started to quicken when she realized what Klaus was doing, she couldn't remember the last time someone went down on her. It made her a little nervous.
Klaus kissed her bird tattoo carrying a heart below her breast as he moved down her stomach kissing below her bellybutton when he felt her tense up, he looked up at her, "relax sweetheart."
She looked down at him and saw him smile. She let out a breath and smiled nodding for him to continue. He opened her legs and positioned himself in front of her, kissing the inside of her thighs slowly moving his mouth on top of her sex.
Caroline's breath caught when she felt Klaus' tongue tease at the folds of her sex before he slid his tongue inside her causing her to moan loudly.
Her hands lightly grabbed a fistful of Klaus hair as his hands gripped the sides of her hips. Caroline felt herself start grinding against Klaus' movements while his tongue swirled around her clit and he lightly sucked at the little bud of nerves.
Caroline's breathing quickened as her hands fell back to the bed gripping the sheets as Klaus moved his hands on top of her stomach to keep her from squirming as he continued. She felt the orgasm build at the pit of her stomach as Klaus sped up the movement of his tongue; her body felt like it was on fire as she was close to climax.
"Nik!" she moaned as Klaus' tongue applied the pressure needed against her clit one last time. Her body shook as the orgasm ran through her. He smirked kissing his way up her body reaching her lips lightly pecking them before he nuzzled her neck.
"Nik has a nice ring to it from your mouth sweetheart," he whispered placing light kisses a long her neck.
She smiled still catching her breath looking into his eyes, "Nik."
He smiled deviously before crashing his lips on hers. Caroline let her fingers get lost in Klaus' hair as their tongues danced.
Caroline flipped them over landing on Klaus' chest, he opened his eyes smiling as she looked down at him and started kissing his chest moving down slowly.
Klaus sighed as his hands stopped her from going further. Caroline looked at him confused, "you don't have to do that sweetheart."
Caroline smiled moving back up to his face to kiss him, "but I want to." She smiled kissing him deeply, "now relax," she smirked.
Klaus sighed lightly as she kissed down his chest again, he relaxed against the bed when she got to his stomach.
Her lips moved along Klaus' body, she smiled every time she felt his body twitch a little from her touch. She dragged her tongue down his stomach stopping below his belly button before she looked up at him smiling when she moved toward his manhood, a small smirk on her face as she moved her mouth over him.
A moan escaped Klaus' mouth as his head fell back into the pillows his hands gripping the sheets underneath him, he almost lost it as she swirled her tongue around.
"Caroline" Klaus breathed as he felt her mouth work against him. He moved his hands into his hair as a way to control himself as she moved up and down dragging her tongue along his shaft before lightly sucking the head, when she sucked the tip he felt himself inch closer to his relase so he pulled her back toward his chest, "that's enough foreplay," he growled.
Caroline smirked as his hands gripped her waist pulling her against his chest, she positioned herself over his shaft. She moaned lightly as she felt him enter her inch by inch, she leaned back her hands resting on his chest as Klaus held her waist.
Caroline started rolling her hips slowly, a moan escaping her mouth as Klaus held her in place. She picked up the pace moving up and down her head falling back in ecstasy as Klaus made love to her. Her whole body was in pure glee as they moved in perfect sync; her body has never felt this way with any other man, completely satisfied and hungry for more.
Klaus sat up as his arms wrapped around Caroline's body and hers moved around his neck. He felt his orgasm building as Caroline rolled her hips and kissed his neck a moan came out of his mouth as he held Caroline, "cum with me love," he whispered in her ear as Caroline pulled back and looked at him.
Their eyes locked as the heat from their bodies made Caroline curls stick to her cheek as Klaus hair feel near his eyes. He smiled at her moving a strand of hair from her cheek before kissing her. Caroline's breath caught as she felt the last thrust from Klaus push her to ecstasy breaking their kiss as she moaned his name loudly.
Klaus' grip on Caroline's body tightened as he pushed into her a few more times before his orgasm spilled out of him. His head rested on Caroline's neck kissing it as their bodies came down from their high. Caroline head rested on Klaus shoulder as she steadied her breathing.
Klaus picked Caroline up and slid her to the side as she snuggled up to his side. She let out a breath smiling as she laid on his bare chest.
As she laid on Klaus' bare chest noticing a tattoo on his inner right bicep it looked like ruins followed with a series of numbers. She saw his other tattoo, the triangle on his back near his right shoulder, the feather with bird's descending from in on his left shoulder but never this one, until now.
She touched the inside on his bicep with the tips of her fingers, "what's this?"
Klaus looked at his arm and sighed, "It's a name."
Caroline fingers traced the lettering, "Who's?"
Klaus ran his hand down Caroline's bare back is fingers lightly drawing circles by her hip because the only people who know that tattoo are his family.
"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, it must be very special for you," Caroline smiled as she pushed her hair behind his ears.
"Thank you sweetheart," Klaus smiled as he kissed her head because he wasn't expecting her to say that. He rubbed her back and after how open she was with him about Trevor and her past he thought this was a good a time as any, "but since you asked so nicely."
Klaus took a deep breath, "Henrik Mikaelson, October 13, 1992, 10 13 92. It's a tattoo in honor of my little brother."
Caroline nodded as her fingers went back to the tattoo lightly grazing it,
"My brother and I were fans of Viking folklore, growing up we would read different stories our favorite being Thor, the son of Odin," Klaus smiled as he pictured how excited his brother use to get when he read to him it was the best part of his day in the Mikaelson house, although he often felt like Loki, the son of Odin but not biologically his. "I'm sure you know the story."
Caroline nodded as her hand rested on his chest.
"When he got a little older he started looking into the history and saw that Vikings wrote using runes, so he liked writing his name in runes," Klaus chuckled recalling the first time his brother ran up to him with a picture of his name painted in runes. "It became his obsession as soon as he picked up a paint brush when he was six."
Caroline smiled as she heard the sound of pride in Klaus' voice as he spoke of his younger brother. She was getting the impression that he and Klaus were very close.
"Henrik connected with me the most out of my family and it surprised me because I'm nine years older than him, when he was born I thought he would've taken a liking to Kol or Bekah, but he chose me," Klaus sighed because there is not a day goes by that he wishes Henrik chose someone more worthy. "Anyway when I was 15 I got my driving permit for an old motorcycle my older brother Elijah left me before he left home when I was 12. It was a classic Harley Davison Panhead, cherry red paint job and white trim ties."
"I fell in love with that bike. It was the only thing that took me away from home when I needed it. I never drove my siblings around on it much, only when I was feeling generous. I never took Henrik on it," Klaus swallowed the lump in his throat as that day flashed into his head.
"The weather in London was changing fast, and it was starting to get too cold to take the bike out. It was the end of September and I was prepping to ride when Henrik ran up to me holding my passenger helmet telling me that since he was almost 10 he was old enough to take a ride," Klaus smiled. "I couldn't say no to such a compelling argument. I told him that I would take him to the shop to get some candy.
Caroline smiled as she moved her hand alongside his ribs, "so the big brother finally caved?'
Klaus sighed, "yes, but not a day goes by that I wish I would've said no."
Caroline sat up a little holding the sheet to chest as she looked at Klaus, "why, you must've made him very happy?"
Klaus pushed her blonde hair out of her face, "well because it's my fault he died."
Caroline's body tensed up, "what?"
Klaus sat up to lean against the headboard, "We were riding to the shop a few blocks from our house and as we were crossing an intersection near it some bloke in a truck ran the red light and hit us."
Caroline moved her hand over her mouth to surprise the gasp from coming out. Her eyes never lefts Klaus' face as he looked down.
"I should've seen him coming but my head was turned to hear what Henrik was saying. It was to late for me to move the bike out of the way as the truck hit us and we both flew off but I blacked out once I hit the pavement," Klaus sighed running his hand through his hair.
Caroline leaned against Klaus' side, "that sounds like an accident to me."
Klaus scuffed lightly, "that's what everyone keeps telling me but it doesn't make up for the fact that I was driving Henrik around, I should've said no and he would still be alive."
Caroline felt his body go tense so she wrapped her arm around his chest, "I'm sorry Klaus."
He simply nodded before continuing his story, "the following day I woke up in the hospital with cuts, bruises, six broken ribs and a broken leg. My sister Rebekah was the only person by my bedside and she was only 13 but I asked her where Henrik was and if he was ok," Klaus took a deep breath. "She ran out of the room and got my older brother Elijah and I haven't seen him in over 4 years, but he was there, standing at the foot of my bed. Elijah was the one to tell me that Henrik died of his injuries. His ribs broke and the bone pierced his right lung causing it to fill with blood."
Klaus felt Caroline body tense as her hand stopped drawing circles on his chest. Klaus felt his own body go tense as the events of that day started flooding back. He never felt that type of guilt or rage course through his body before; as soon as Elijah told him he tried to get out of bed to see if it was true. Klaus has never cried, not even when Mikael beat him he never cried out loud, but when Elijah stopped him from leaving that room Klaus yelled and fought before collapsing to the floor crying for his brother.
That was the only time his Elijah has ever seen him that broken, but since then Klaus shut out a lot of his emotions. He felt this cold void in his heart and it was filling with rage. The one person that made him feel a part of the Mikaelson family just died at his hand.
Even with his broken ribs and leg as soon as he stepped out of the hospital Mikael attacked him, Klaus never felt so much rage in his life as he fought back for the first time in his life against Mikael. He only managed to throw two punches before Mikael knocked him on the floor, and if it wasn't for Elijah walking out of the hospital they would've killed each other.
Klaus cleared his throat, "anyway so that's why I have his name on my arm."
Caroline didn't say anything when Klaus went quite after he told her. She leaned on her elbow and rolled on top of Klaus as she sat up she lifted up Klaus' right arm above his head. Klaus laid there watching as Caroline leaned forward and kissed his tattoo, "nice to meet you Henrik," she whispered against his bicep before sitting up right.
Klaus stared at her for a few seconds before leaning forward to capture her lips in a kiss, his hands grasping the sides of her face as he pulled her close. Caroline let her arms wrap around Klaus' neck as her mouth moved with Klaus'. This kiss felt different it was deep, meaningful, she felt as if Klaus was kissing her for the first time after years of separation. It was desperate yet soft as Klaus moved his fingers into her hair.
Klaus' eye's peeled open when he looked at the clock by the bed to see it was after 9 a.m. when he was awoken by his phone. He sighed as he moved Caroline off his chest before getting out of his bed. His phones ringing was getting annoying and thought it would stop if he ignored it but nope the person calling was being very persistent.
Klaus leaned down and slide on his boxer briefs before digging in his pants pocket for his phone. He rolled his eyes when he saw it was Elijah. He walked out of his bedroom before answering it.
"Yes brother?" Klaus said harshly as he stepped into the hallway.
"Good Morning Niklaus," Elijah retorted annoyed that it was getting harder to get his brother on the phone when it matter. "You missed our planning meeting last night and that doesn't sit well with me given that you are leaving for Chicago tonight."
Klaus sighed in annoyance before speaking to his brother with a stern tone, "Elijah I have been there for the entire planning process I know the plan and I know the job."
"Niklaus," Elijah said firmly, "adjust your tone because this is not a job I am taking lightly brother because of who we are dealing with and this is Kol's life we are talking about. If your head is not in this than I will gladly take your place."
Klaus ran his hand over his face because it's been almost 5 years since Elijah did a job, and if he let him do this one his sister-in-law would surely kill him, "No need for that Elijah let's have a quick brunch to go over the plan in detail. I'll be over in 20 minutes."
"Good," Elijah said with a lighter tone. "I'll have something prepared."
Klaus nodded as he hung up the phone sighing. He ran his hands through his hair before walking into his guest bathroom.
Klaus walked into his room and quickly changed in to a pair of jeans and a black Henley with his Chuck Taylors. He smiled as he was putting on his jacket as Caroline rolled over in his bed. He walked up to the nightstand putting the note he wrote down and leaned down kissing her on the forehead before he left.
He sighed as he slipped his keys and phone into his pocket as he waited for the elevator.
Klaus walked up to Elijah's wooden house doors after a 20 minute cab ride, Elijah lived near south beach with his wife. No kids yet but Klaus wouldn't doubt it happening anytime soon. As he was about to knock on the door it swung open and Katherine came walking out with her sister.
Klaus groaned inwardly as he stepped aside for them to exit.
"Klaus it's nice to see you," Katherine said sweetly as she gave him a hug, "it's been a while how've you been."
"Morning Katherine, I've been splendid and yourself," he pulled out of her hug asking as he avoided Tatiana's eyes.
"Everything's been great," she said lightly feeling a little awkward between him and her sister. "I assume you're here for Elijah. He's in the dining room."
Klaus nodded as he walked past them to get into the house.
"He didn't say anything to me," Tatiana whined as they walked up to Katherine's BMW.
"What did you expect Tatia I'm surprised he even looked at you," Katherine rolled her eyes as he unlocked her doors, "I told you he wants you to just leave him alone, and from what Elijah has told me he's moved on."
Tatiana paused as the news hit her like as she was opening the door, "moved on."
"Yes so now it's time for you," Katherine shrugged as she got in the car.
Klaus walked into the dining room to see Elijah reading the paper with a cup of tea, "well let's get this over with so I can go."
Elijah lowered his paper looking at Klaus, "Niklaus this could've been avoided if you came last night like the rest of us."
Klaus rolled his eyes taking a seat next to his brother, "Yes well I was pre-occupied as you know Stefan had his art opening and afterwards I was busy."
"With Caroline I presume?"
"Who told you about Caroline," Klaus asked reaching for some of the fruit in the middle of the table.
"Kol he said you had a women in your life, which is why you ran out of sparring on Friday," Elijah folded up his newspaper and placed it at the corner of the table.
Klaus sighed, "Of course Kol bloody told you. He talks just as much as Rebekah. But yes if you must know I was with Caroline but the rest is none of your business so now if we could please get this over with so I can return to her."
Elijah smiled leaning forward, "Tell me about this Caroline."
Klaus was starting to get annoyed his brother was not going to drop this unless obliged, "turn to the entertainment section of your Sunday paper."
Elijah looked at Klaus with confusion as he picked up his paper taking out the entertainment section and saw that Stefan's gallery opening was the cover, "Well look at that I believe a congratulations to Stefan is in order, I'll send him a bottle of wine, but what does this have to do with this Caroline."
Klaus smirked, "look at the byline."
Elijah glanced down and read Caroline Forbes, assistant editor for arts and entertainment, he smiled, "a journalist."
Klaus nodded taking a bit of the apple, "now you know, can we please get on with this meeting."
Elijah put the paper down nodding, "very well. As you know Conner's brother Alexander has been snooping into his death. He tracked down Kol as the hired hand for Galen's death wondering why he didn't go through with it. Alexander still thinking Kol is in London is a bonus and it gives us the upper hand because Alexander doesn't expect him in town until mid-week, so this gives you and him time to scope out what you're dealing with and lay the plan in motion.
Klaus sat there nodding eating his apple, "Rose knows that she's going to have to change her hair in order to do this job with me correct?'
Elijah leaned back in his chair, "yes she's going to get extensions and dye her hair red oppose to the short brown haired woman Conner met at the party."
Klaus chuckled, "yes well if we're going to play off that she's my fiancée it's best she doesn't look the same."
Elijah nodded, "the only thing Alexander knows is that you're Galen's new business partner in Europe, and since Conner's death Alexander took over his shares of the business. He's not as extreme as pushing the Hunters drug as Conner was, but he is looking for vengeance for his brother's death. His suspicion is still heavy on Galen, and he'll have to disappear."
Klaus finished his apple putting the core on the empty plate, "and that's what will achieve." He stood up smiling.
"Where are you going?" Elijah asked standing.
"I thought we were done," he simply stated.
Elijah stood, "no we are not done you just got here, so if you'd please sit down Niklaus."
"Elijah when are you going to understand that this is not my first job, I know the details and I know what needs to be done. Hell I'm the one that comes up with the plan in the first place," Klaus said annoyed. "So if you don't mind I'd like to spend the next," he looks at his watch, "10 hours in my apartment packing and what not," he smirked stepping beside his chair pushing it in.
Elijah sighed in frustration as he stood up, "Niklaus I expect you to be on time at the airport because your flight leaves at 11 p.m."
Klaus smiled as he walked up to his brother padding him on the shoulder, "I wouldn't miss it."
Elijah shook his head as he watched his brother head toward the front door.
Caroline rolled over and felt an empty bed her eyes started to open as she brought the sheet closer to her naked body.
"Klaus?" she said lightly as she sat up and looked around the empty room. She saw a note on the night stand next to the bed. Caroline leaned over and picked it up to see Klaus writing, she smiled because his penmanship was beautiful.
Good Morning Sweetheart, I'm sorry I wasn't there to see you wake but I had some family business to attend to this morning. I will be back by Noon. Please make yourself at home.
–Klaus
Caroline closed the letter smiling she laid back down and stretched out in Klaus' bed. Her stomach felt warm as she started to think about last night, she giggled because it wasn't just good sex it was mind-blowing. Her body shivered a little because she could almost feel Klaus' hands run along the side of her body.
She turned to her head and glanced at the clock on the nightstand, she saw it was already after 11 just as a hunger rumbling in her tummy emerged. She pulled the sheet around her body and looked around for her clothes when her eyes landed on Klaus' closet. She smirked getting out of bed to see what Nik had in his wardrobe.
Caroline walked down the hallway buttoning up a dark blue suit shirt. She wanted to make something eat so she walked up to the fridge in the kitchen. After weighing her options she decided on yogurt, fruit and some oatmeal with a cup of orange juice.
Caroline set up everything on the dining room table as she walked back into the kitchen to get her juice she saw a few art magazines on Klaus' coffee table. Out of curiosity she went to see if he had anything good to read. As she shuffled around the magazines a file fell to the floor along with its papers. "Damn it," she said picking them up and saw that the file had Trevor written on the tab. Caroline scrunched her eyebrows picking it up to see what's inside.
She sat on the couch going through all the information Klaus gathered on Trevor, his tax returns, credit background, and criminal history and where he's lived the past years. He even had an address of where Trevor was at while staying in San Francisco. Caroline felt her stomach tighten when she saw he was in an apartment not a motel, this only means he wasn't just passing through.
As Caroline looked through the information she didn't really know what to think she just put the folder back on the table and sat on the couch processing all the information. She found out that Trevor has been living only five hours from her for over two years and now he was staying in San Francisco at an apartment where Tyler's firm is. She didn't like the sour taste in her mouth, Caroline leaned forward and picked up her juice and drank it to kill the taste.
"How does he have all this information," she thought to herself as she walked to the dining room table to eat.
"Ugh you know why after told him everything," Caroline said out loud as she opened her yogurt. She was more curious on how he got the information because it was all sensitive not something a normal person could come by.
Caroline sat there eating slowing thinking, reasoning with herself that Klaus had good intentions on having all that information. She didn't even hear the front door open until she felt Klaus' voice beside her ear as he kissed her cheek.
"Afternoon love," Klaus said lightly as he kissed her check. He sat down to her left smiling to see she was eating in one of his shirts. "I'm glad you made yourself comfortable."
Caroline smiled hesitantly and saw that Klaus noticed by the crease in his brows.
"Is something wrong?"
Caroline wiped her mouth with her napkin clearing her throat nervously, "Ummm…you have a folder on your coffee table," she paused "about Trevor."
Klaus sighed, "Yes, I'm sure you're curious on why." He smiled putting his keys and phone on the table.
Caroline nodded.
"Well," he put his hands on the table and laced his fingers, "I got that information thanks to Lexi. As you know she's quite the wiz with computers," he chuckled to lighten the mood. "I wanted more information on him after the text you got from our dinner this past week, before Lexi was only able to find out limited information but she stepped up her game and found out where he's at in San Francisco."
"Why did you want to know?"
Klaus touched her cheek, "Sweetheart do you really need to ask."
Caroline smiled, "So Lexi was able to find all the info with a basic internet search?"
Klaus shrugged, "Hmmm not exactly and I don't know how she did it, but I was glad she did because now that you've seen it, you have the upper hand because you know where he is."
She nodded and picked up her juice taking a quick sip, "have you gone to see him?"
Klaus nodded, "I have."
Caroline lifted her eyebrows, "and?"
"He wasn't there when I went, Friday," Klaus felt his body tense as he recalls waiting in Trevor's living room for him to return. He kept trying to convince himself that he shouldn't kill the man but that went out the window when the thought of Caroline bloody and beaten came to mind. He never wanted to hurt anyone more since he came face to face with the man who hit him and Henrik, but luckily for now Trevor was safe until Klaus returns from Chicago.
Caroline eyes widen, "Friday? You mean you went before our date?"
"Yes, that is when Lexi handed me the information. I consider it to be very lucky on his part," Klaus stated as his body tensed because he waited in Trevor's apartment for over two hours before he had to leave for their date. "I will not apologize for going to see him Caroline."
Caroline smiled, "I wasn't going to ask you to, but I am glad he wasn't home."
Klaus scrunched his eye brows in confusion, "Whys that?'
Caroline shrugged, "because if something happen to you, our date wouldn't have happen."
Klaus smiled, "nothing would've stopped me from our date love." He leaned forward and placed a light kiss on Caroline's lips.
Caroline smiled as she opened her eyes, "Good. So what are we doing before you leave tonight," she asked picking up a strawberry from her plate.
Klaus smirked as he stood up from his chair, "I thought we could," he leaned down and scoops Caroline up in arms causing her to laugh, "go back to bed."
Caroline claimed down her laughing as he started walking to his bedroom with her, "I like that plan," she smiled leaning forward to give Klaus a kiss, he smiled as the taste of strawberries lingered on his tongue.
