A/N At least i updated sooner then usual. This is the beginning of the end. I would say there is one more chapter in me for this story. Anyway I hope you've enjoyed this story because I've certainly enjoyed writing it, from time to time.

Any who here it is.

Enjoy...

"What," Caroline looked at him in shock.

Klaus took a breath, "I've been looking for him since you woke up in the hospital. I've had Lexi searching for him and she found him."

Caroline furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, "how do you two even have the resources to do that," she asked looking at him, "you'd need accesses to secure servers in order to find Trevor in that short period of time."

Klaus sighed nodding, "we were able to get that access."

She was beyond confusion as she adjusted herself in Klaus' bed facing him, "How does an accountant and computer software developer have access to that type of information?"

Klaus took a deep breath looking at her, "are you sure you want to know love?"

Caroline nodded, Klaus stood up getting ready to explain, "Being an accountant is just my day job. I also work for the family business."

"Oh so 'The Originals' has access to that type of information."

Klaus shook his head, "No, the other family business."

Caroline scrunched her eyebrows, "ok and what business is that."

"I guess it's like contracting," Klaus said hoping to lighten the blow, "but for hit men."

Caroline laughed looking at Klaus but when she saw his face was serious she shook her head trying to process this information, "I'm sorry you did say hit men right?"

Klaus nodded, "Yes. We run an organization where we accept contracts from all over the world to take care of business that requires a more permanent solution."

Caroline looked at Klaus with her mouth open. She shook her head again, "you're joking right?" Klaus sighed and shook his head. She sat there in shock processing the information before she stood up facing him.

"So you kill people," she asked.

"Not just anyone."

She held up her hands, "ok but you do kill people," she said again looking at him, "and that is your job." Klaus nodded stepping toward Caroline hoping to explain it more but was met with her stepping back.

"Are you frickn kidding me," she said loudly throwing her hands in the air turning away from him as she started pacing around Klaus' room.

"Caroline just let me explain," he said softly looking at her. She stopped long enough to look at him, "please."

She sighed lightly because she wanted to know a little more so she nodded her head as Klaus went on explaining about the family business, when he started training, how Elijah trained him and why he did it before he finally moved into what he's been doing for the past few months.

He told her about New York, the hunter's drug and why he had to go to Chicago. After he was done giving her the quick rundown of the situation Caroline was standing by the bed with her arms wrapped around her.

She took a deep breath and looked at Klaus "So you were in New York a while back just to kill a bunch of people," Caroline said seeing Klaus nod. She shook her head still trying to wrap her head around the fact that she fell in love with someone who kills people for a living, "And that's why you were in Chicago, trying to finish the job," she covered her face with her hands shaking her head. "Oh my god I'm such an idiot."

"I was saving my brother Caroline," Klaus said roughly, "that is why I didn't race back right after you called me. Kol was in trouble, serious trouble and I had to save him or else he would have died. Yes the original intent was to complete the job because the Hunter drug can't get in the wrong hands, but once you called me that didn't matter anymore."

Klaus took a step toward her and Caroline backed away a little, "I wish I was there when Trevor tried to open your door. He would have never been able to lay a finger on you. I wanted nothing more than to be there," he said sighing.

Caroline stood there absorbing the information. She didn't say anything as Klaus looked at her with pleading eyes, "please just try to understand Caroline, I'm telling you this" Klaus paused looking at her, "because I love you,"

Caroline felt a pit in her stomach. Her eyes went wide as it suddenly became harder to breathe. She turned away from him and walked toward his window, she needed a minute. She shook her head, "No, no, no, no, this isn't fair," she said and started walking out of Klaus' bedroom.

"Caroline wait," he said trying to stop her but she pushed him away but he followed right behind her. Caroline didn't know what to think or feel because right now all she felt was that she couldn't breathe. She reached for Klaus' front door knob groaning when it wouldn't budge because it was locked. She quickly turned the lock and pulled it open. Her body froze as a scared gasp escaped her mouth as she scrambled backwards landing in Klaus' arms.

"Well isn't this a nice surprise…Hello Caroline." Trevor said smiling as he pulled out a gun pointing it at Caroline and Klaus.

"Trevor," she said stepping back, "How did…?" Caroline got out as Klaus moved her behind him.

Trevor chuckled darkly, "I was actually here for your little boyfriend because I thought it was time for us to officially meet and apparently he's not a very professional man for being absent from work for so long," he said smiling, "but imagine my surprise when you opened the door," he smirked. He stepped in closing the door still pointing the gun at them.

"Now my precious Caroline," he said softly, "let's have a little chat in the living room," he took a step toward her but Klaus moved her further behind her. When Klaus made a move he pointed the gun at his face. Klaus' expression was hard as he looked at Trevor.

"Don't move pretty boy. Don't think for a second I won't get any satisfaction from killing my wife's new boy toy," he spat.

Klaus stepped forward, "you better make sure you kill me with the first shot because I will stop at nothing to rip your throat out."

Trevor chuckled looking behind him at Caroline, "this is the type of guy your into now," he hit Klaus with the hilt of the pistol causing Caroline to scream.

Trevor looked at Caroline smirking before he yelled at Klaus "move!" Klaus spit the blood out of his mouth. He turned putting his arm around Caroline as they went to sit down on the couch. Klaus looked around his living room noting where he left a few of his knives.

"Now that we're all here," Trevor said lightly unbuttoning his suit before taking a seat on the chair next to the couch. "Why don't you introduce me to your friend Caroline?"

Caroline looked at Klaus as he saw the tears welling up in her eyes. He grabbed her hand squeezing it for reassurance.

"Trevor this is Niklaus Mikaelson," she said lightly moving her hand from Trevor to Klaus and vice versa, "Nik this is Trevor Wright."

Klaus looked at Trevor to see him smirking, "what am I Caroline," he said leaning forward with the gun in his hand.

Caroline sighed before looking up at Klaus, "the biggest mistake of my life."

Trevor's smirk faded as he moved forward smacking her with his open hand causing her to groan. Klaus moved but Trevor shoved the gun in his face, "not so fast pretty boy," he growled, "sit."

Klaus' eyes were locked on Trevor's as he sat back by Caroline. She sat there with her hand holding her face. Klaus put his arm around her as Trevor hovered over them.

Trevor chuckled standing up right, "Right," he turned around, "tell me where I can find a drink in this place," he looked at Klaus.

Caroling sighed, "what do you want Trevor?"

He clicked his tongue against his teeth, "patience Care I just got here," he smiled walking toward Klaus' kitchen, "besides where is the fun in rushing things."

As Trevor turned his back on them to look for some alcohol Klaus looked at Caroline, "keep your eyes on him," he said as he kneeled down by his coffee table. Caroline's eyes went wide as she watched Klaus slid a thin drawer out from under the table. Caroline turned her attention back toward Trevor as Klaus slid out a few knives before closing the drawer.

"What do you two feel like drinking?" Trevor said as he was rummaging through the cabinets by his knees, "no reason we can't all share a drink together."

Caroline looked at Klaus mouthing "what are you doing?"

He looked at her whispering, "Let me handle this."

"Ah!" Trevor yelled holding up a bottle of wine as he looked toward them, "let's have a little bit of red wine to lighten the mood."

He walked back into the living room with the bottle and glasses under arm and the gun in his other hand smirking. He placed it on the coffee table in front of them and poured them each a glass picking one up holding it in the air.

"Let's have a toast shall we," he smiled at them.

Caroline and Klaus looked at him with furrowed because he was obviously crazy. "I'm not thirsty," she said lightly as she rubbed her hands together in her lap.

"Caroline it's rude to refuse a beverage from your host," he said coldly shaking the gun a little with his other hand.

Klaus reached for the glasses handing one to Caroline, "take it easy. It's rude for a toast not to be cheerful."

Trevor arched his eyebrow at Klaus lifting his glass, "well let's make this one to remember."

Klaus lifted his glass before glancing at Caroline. He lightly squeezed her leg. She half smiled at him and lifted up her glass taking a breath as she turned her attention to Trevor to see him smiling holding his glass wiggling it a little for her to get a move on.

"Cheers," she said.

Trevor smirked, "cheers," he said boastfully as he clinked his glass against theirs.

Each of them took a drink but Trevor downed the whole glass taking a breath afterwards and placed his glass on the table, "well," he said clearing his throat, "why don't you tell me how you met my wife Klaus?"

Klaus put his glass back on the table looking up at Trevor, "Caroline is my neighbor. We were bound to bump into each other sooner or later. But when one sees a beautiful young woman like herself struggling with a moving box," he looked at her and smiles, "a gentlemen offers his help."

When Klaus looked back at Trevor he was scowling, "yes well Caroline was never one to refuse the attention."

"Fuck you Trevor," she spat, "what do you want? If you're here to hurt me then do it," she yelled standing up not caring that Trevor rose with her gripping his gun, "I'm sick of you coming into my life and taking control of it. You're not my husband anymore, in fact you're nothing to me and you've been nothing since the day I left Mystic Falls," she shouted in frustration and in the heat of the moment she threw her fist connecting with Trevor's jaw. She pulled back shaking her hand in pain. It's been awhile since she's really punched someone and when she looked back up to see the rage on Trevor's face she sighed because she knew what was coming.

He reached for Caroline grabbing her arm pulling her toward him as Caroline started to struggle telling him to let her go. Klaus moved his body between them and was met with the hilt of Trevor's gun. He winced as he felt blood dripped down his eyebrow but he didn't stop as he twisted his hand holding the gun. Trevor grunted as Klaus swung his hand hitting Trevor in the face causing him to let go of Caroline.

She fell to the floor and Klaus told her to run as he punched Trevor in the face pulling out a knife stabbing him in the shoulder causing Trevor to yell in pain. Caroline scrambled trying to get away from the chaos unfolding in front of her as Trevor started throwing punches.

As she was crawling away she felt a weight fall on her legs as Trevor landed on his back with Klaus on top on him. She was trying to pull her legs out focused on getting Trevor's weight off her feet. When she looked up she saw Klaus' eyes blazing with hate as he sat on top of Trevor punching him.

She's never seen this animalistic side of Klaus, his eyes were full of rage and hatred that it scared her. She forgot what she was doing as she saw the blood splash across his face as his fist connected with Trevor's jaw again even though he laid there limp.

"Klaus," she said loudly but got no response. "Klaus," she said again moving her hands toward him to stop him but he didn't instead he pulled another knife out and held it against his neck.

"NIK!" she yelled and Klaus stopped looking up at her with Trevor's blood on his hands breathing heavily as his blade was pressed against Trevor's neck.

She was looking at him in shock and shook her head. He sighed and sat back on his knees looking at his hands. He stood up and moved Trevor's body off of her holding out his hand to help her up. Caroline didn't move she sat there staring at him.

"Who are you," she asked standing up looking at Klaus to see hurt in his eyes. She looked at Trevor and he wasn't moving but blood was dripping from his face and a wound on his shoulder. She had no sympathy for him but the way Klaus looked beating him, that was what she couldn't get over.

"Caroline…" he said softly. He reached for her but she moved avoiding his touch. Klaus sighed, "I think you should call the police."

She turned around and walked toward the kitchen, sliding her phone out of her pocket dialing 911. Klaus took a few steps toward her as she leaned with her back to him against the kitchen counter and started giving the call center his address. He looked down at his hands shaking his head, "you saw the way she looked at you," he said in his head as he rubbed his hands together.

Caroline turned quickly to the sound of a crash in the living room. The phone slide out of her hand as Trevor was on top of Klaus the glass coffee table shattered. She screamed running toward him as she grabbed at Trevor to get him off but he back handed her. She hit the floor with a thud but she got up on her elbows looking around frantically for something to hit him. She saw the knife Klaus was holding earlier on the floor.

Caroline picked it up gripping it tight between her hands. She looked at Trevor's back as he sat on top of Klaus trying to hit him. She stepped closer and shoved the knife in the middle of his lower back twisting it.

She felt Trevor's body stiffen as he grunted in pain sitting up right. She pushed the knife harder against his back causing him to choke a little. He turned his head looking at Caroline as blood dripped out of his mouth. She let go of the knife shaking standing up straight.

She saw Trevor's eyes getting heavy as he whispered, "You'll always be mine…Caroline."

Caroline scrunched her eyebrows bending to be face to face with him, "go to hell Trevor," she said pushing him to the side so he could get off Klaus.

Klaus saw Caroline standing next to the police car with a blanket covering her as she talked to detective Murphy. He was sitting at the edge of the ambulance as an EMT stitched up the cut on his eyebrow and his cheek. He sighed because every time she glanced in his direction she wouldn't leave her eyes on him for more than a second.

"I think we should take you in just to be safe. You have quite a bit of cuts on your back."

Klaus was drawn from his thoughts and looked up at the EMT guy shaking his head, "no I'm fine," he stood up, "thank you."

The EMT guy nodded and started packing away his stuff. Klaus looked back at Caroline and saw her walking back toward the apartment building. He started toward her when detective Murphy stopped him.

"Mr. Mikaelson, do you have a minute?"

He sighed, "of course. What do you need Mr. Murphy?"

Detective Murphy nodded, "Miss. Forbes filled me in on the events that took place this evening, but if you could please tell me what happen?"

"I'm sure what Caroline told you was sufficient enough," Klaus said, "so if you don't mind it's been a long night detective and I'd like to check on my girlfriend."

Detective Murphy shook his head, "this would only take a minute. So if you could please," he said motioning toward him with his hands holding a notepad and pen, "fill me in on the events that took place this evening."

"Very well," he said as he moved into the events that happen wanting to get back inside as quick as possible he just gave him the quick details. "Is that enough information detective?"

He closed his notepad, clicking his pen and placing it inside his coat jacket nodding, "Thank you Mr. Mikaelson. I'll be in touch if I need anything but this is a clean case of self-defense, especially since Trevor attacked Miss. Forbes previously. I'm just glad you gave that son of a bitch a taste of his own medicine," he smiled and padded Klaus on the shoulder, "Good Night."

Klaus watched Detective Murphy walk off and he took a deep breath before making his way back up to his apartment but heard Murphy call him.

"Mr. Mikaelson one more question."

Klaus turned back toward him shouting, "yes"

"Where did the knives come from?"

He sighed, "They were mine. Everyone has a hobby and training in different types of weapons is one of mine."

Detective Murphy nodded, "That's what she said."

Klaus scrunched his eyebrows, "excuse me."

He waved his hands, "Caroline she said they were just your hobby. Any way get some rest Klaus; he won't bring you or Caroline anymore trouble." Detective Murphy smiled and walked off.

Klaus nodded and headed toward the elevator. He stepped in front of Caroline's door knocking. She didn't answer but he saw a shadow under the crack of her door, "please open the door sweetheart," he said softly.

Caroline was leaning against the door debating whether or not to open it when she heard Klaus lean his head on the door asking her again. She sighed turning around to open the door, she was staring into the face of the man she loved yet he wasn't the man she fell in love with.

He smiled softly at her, "thank you." She wrapped her arms around herself nodding.

"Are you ok?"

She looked up at him scuffing a little, "I don't know Klaus I mean I just found out my boyfriend is a hit man and I killed my piece of shit ex-husband less than two hours ago," she held up her hands, "I am just peachy."

She took a breath looking at him to see the hurt on his face. She shook her head because she felt the tears welling up in her eyes. She swallowed the lump in her throat, "I can't do this," she said her voice catching as Klaus stood in front of her. "You're secret is safe with me, but right now I just need to be alone."

Klaus stood there nodding as Caroline closed the door. He walked back to his apartment, the part of the floor where Caroline stabbed Trevor was marked up and the blood was cleaned but splatter marks were on his couches. He sighed because his entire living room was a crime scene and he knows that the cops weren't done processing it yet.

He walked into his art studio and leaned against his art desk taking deep breaths in an effort to calm down, but before he could stop himself he started destroying everything in sight. He ripped through his pile of papers on the table, knocked over his canvases and broke whatever he could get his hands on.

Klaus sat in the rubble of his art studio breathing heavily when the corner of a picture caught his eye. He pulled it out from the pile of papers. It was the picture Caroline let him keep from their first date, the picture of them dancing. He smiled standing up and moving toward a cabinet in the corner of his studio, he had some work to do.

Caroline opened her front door smiling, "Matty!" she hugged him. She looked behind him, "Ben," she said softly moving Matt to hug him. "Come in you two."

She moved so they could walk in, "Jeremy just got done setting up the match if you're ready to shoot some people," she grinned as they moved into the living room.

Matt took off his jacket throwing it on the couch, "oh it is on. What are we playing?"

"Teams or free for all," Jeremy commented, "were still waiting for Bonnie and Elena."

Matt nodded as he picked up a controller sitting on the couch, "Hey Anna," he smiled looking at Jeremy's girlfriend, "how've you been?"

She smiled, "good actually. I'm just glad summer is over because this is my final year at Stanford."

"That's right," he said smiling, "congratulations."

"Thanks," she said shyly, "what about you Mr. Big Time Lawyer now. Caroline told me you passed the bar at the beginning of the month, congrats."

Matt nodded it was still surreal that he was officially a lawyer and working at San Francisco's top law firm, "thanks, I wish I could say the long nights have ended but nope," he chuckled.

It's been over a month since Caroline killed Trevor or even really talked to Klaus. She's just been keeping busy avoiding the fact that she is in love with a guy who kills people and that she in fact killed somebody.

"Drinks and snacks are in the kitchen so help yourself if you're hungry," Caroline smiled sitting down in the middle before anyone could take her ideal gaming spot, "oh Matt can you bring me a drink on your way back," she smirked at Matt standing up next to the couch.

He chuckled, "yeah, yeah as long as you promise not to cheat." Caroline opened her mouth, "me," she smiled, "never." Matt laughed, "do you want anything?" he asked Ben.

"Beer's fine," Matt smiled as he kissed Ben on the cheek handing him the controller before walking into the kitchen.

There was a knocking on Caroline's door, she groaned because she wanted to start playing this game already. She got off the couch and opened her door.

"Hey!" Bonnie and Elena said in unison both hugging her.

"Hey girls, if feels like I haven't seen you in forever," she smiled. She opened her eyes pulling back and saw Kol and Damon standing behind them, "and you brought company."

"I know you said only the gang but would you mind our plus ones," Bonnie said looking at Elena.

"Of course she doesn't I mean I'm fantastic company," Damon smirked.

Caroline chuckled shaking her head. She hasn't exactly been the best toward Kol or Damon, given the information that she knew about them and she even told them that they needed to end it with her friends before they get hurt. But in the end it was none her business, she could see the way they looked at them and the way Elena and Bonnie looked at them. She did tell them they'll have to tell them soon or later.

"No it's fine. I mean they're family at this rate," she chuckled opening the door for all of them to come in. She looked at Kol and Damon and they nodded in appreciation as all of them gathered in the living room.

"I just ordered pizza, but if anyone wants anything else just order it," Caroline said sitting back down in her seat reaching for her drink on the table. She drank some of the scotch before lifting up her controller.

"So who on who's team or is this a fight to the death?"

Everyone started laughing. They set up two TVs side by side with Xbox 360s and four controls, one Caroline's and the other Jeremy's. Having eight people play was more fun.

"I think we should do a free for all and the top four plays on one team and the bottom four the other," Jeremy said looking around at everyone for approval.

Caroline nodded, "makes sense," she stood up and picked up the other two controllers handing them to Elena and Bonnie smiling, "you know you want to play this game." Both of them rolled their eyes taking the controller from Caroline.

"What about you two," Jeremy looked at Kol and Damon, "you in?"

Kol took off his jacket, "oh most definitely," he smiled taking a controller from Jeremy.

Damon shrugged, "what the hell," he grabbed the controller.

Caroline, Elena, Bonnie and Matt were on her TV set. Jeremy, Kol, Damon and Ben were on his set. They were in the matchmaking room of Halo 4 when Caroline heard a knock on her door.

She looked at Anna, "can you go get that Anna it's just the pizza. It's paid for." She nodded getting up from the chair walking toward the front door.

"Oh! That is not fair Matt I was just about to assassinate Jeremy," Caroline shouted rapidly tapping the X button to re-spawn so she could get back in the game.

Matt was on the couch smirking as he sprinted across the map in search of his next victim but was cut short when Bonnie opened fire on him. Everyone was in the game that Caroline didn't notice Anna sit back down until she got killed again and threw up her hands in the air. She looked at Anna smiling.

"Was that the pizza?"

Anna smiled shaking her head, "Yes everything is set up on the table."

"Great," Caroline said happily before pausing the game earning groans from everyone around her. "Oh hush," she chuckles, "the pizza is ready so let's get some food in us and then will continue this battle."

Everyone made their way to the kitchen and started dishing themselves out, getting beers and chit chatting. Caroline smiled as she poured herself a glass of wine as she watched everyone converse around the table with a piece of pizza. After the rough weeks she's had it was nice to be around people she considered her family and just be happy again.

After nearly five hours of various video games, food and company Caroline realized she was extremely tried when she started walking everyone out of her apartment after 11 p.m.

Caroline was laughing as she hugged all her friends while they walked out the front door. She was giggling a little as Kol stepped in front of her, the last to leave her apartment.

"Thanks for the lovely evening Caroline," he smiled putting on his coat giving her a kiss on the cheek, "I look forward to the next one."

Caroline nodded, "of course. It was good to see you again Kol," she cleared her throat a little awkward, "how is everything?"

Kol got the hint of what she was talking about. He rolled his shoulder, "it's 100 percent functional," he chuckled.

She nodded smiling, "that's good." She sighed a little looking down the hall seeing all her friends gather in front of elevator her eyes stopping on Bonnie.

Kol followed her gaze and sighed, "I plan on telling her," he said looking back at her, "everything."

Caroline didn't realize she had a shocked expression on her face until Kol laughed. She shook her head, "are you sure?"

He nodded, "Bonnie's different. I've had my fair share of women," he admitted glancing back at Bonnie smiling, "but none have even come close to her."

Caroline couldn't contain the smile on her face as she hugged Kol, "just don't spring it on her," she pulled back, "ease in to it."

He nodded as Caroline stepped back against her front door, "well you better get to it before they leave you behind," she motioned toward Bonnie and the gang walking into the elevator.

Kol nodded, "yes but," he paused reaching into his inside jacket pocket, "I need to give you something before I leave."

Caroline looked down at an envelope he was holding. Her chest constricted a little because she knew who that was from. She shook her head holding up her hand to refuse it, "no thanks."

"Caroline," he said softly turning her hand around and placing the envelope in her hand, "give him a chance, please." He smiled and walked toward the elevator.

Caroline was frozen in place staring down at a white envelope with her name etched across the front in black ink. She breathed out looking up to see everyone wave as the elevator door closed.

She closed her front door looking down at the envelope in her hand. Her breath was coming in slow as she walked toward her couch. She could feel the knots build up in her stomach because she hasn't seen or spoken to Klaus since she's told him she needs space.

She's seen him leave the apartment building but nothing more, and Bonnie tells her he's back at work, more focused than ever. She sat on her couch with her feet tucked under her. Caroline took a deep breath before she opened the envelope.

Who knew an alleyway held such beauty.

Caroline furrowed her eyebrows. She didn't know what to expect but she certainly expected more than that. Her eyes scanned it again before she felt like kicking herself. She walked into her bedroom, grabbed her light cardigan and left her apartment.

As Caroline stood there in the elevator moving down to the lobby she considered just pushing her floor number and heading home, but when the bell dung and the door opened she looked up and felt her breath catch as if she was hit in the stomach.

Klaus was standing in front of her with a brunette hanging on his elbow and head resting on his shoulder. "Caroline," he said a little shocked as her eyes shifted between him and her.

She took a step forward and pushed her floor button, "going up" she asked plainly.

"Klaus what are you waiting for let's get to your apartment," the brunette said trying to pull him into the elevator.

Caroline shook her head a little looking down at the letter in her hand.

"You got my note," he said moving his foot in front of the elevator to keep it from shutting.

She nodded saying, "yup," with the P popping at the end. She sighed stepping out the elevator, "why don't you two take the elevator," she said moving past them.

"Caroline, wait, this isn't what you think," Klaus said grabbing her elbow.

"I think it's none of my business," she said looking at him as she pulled her arm out of his grip.

"Love it really isn't," he sighed, "Caroline I'd like you to meet Rose."

He moved Rose so she was facing her, "Rose this is Caroline."

Rose had a look of realization on her drunken face, "you're the infamous Caroline," she slurred a little but stood up straight looking her up and down.

"The woman who stole Klaus' heart," she said taking in a breath, pouting a little, "the woman he wants." She glanced back at Klaus and then her, "the only woman he wants."

Caroline was standing there looking at them as if she was in some alternate universe. What the fuck is going on she asked herself as Rose stepped back taking the apartment keys from Klaus before disappearing into the elevator.

They stood there looking at each other before Klaus broke the silence, "she's a co-worker."

Caroline nodded wrapping her arms around her, "the girl you used in New York and Chicago."

Klaus nodded stepping closer to her, "yes," he put his hand under her chin so she'd look at him, "have you figured out my note?"

She nodded.

He smiled and took Caroline's hand leading her out of the apartment. As they walked up to the entrance of the alley Klaus put his hands over her eyes but Caroline moved them away, "come on love," he said softly, "trust me."

She looked Klaus and saw the intensity in his eyes. She sighed and put his hands back over her eyes. He smiled and started leading her down the alleyway.

"Why did you want me to come to this alleyway anyway," Caroline asked as she moved slowly with the guidance of Klaus, hoping not to fall. "I've seen all the work here."

Klaus smirked as he moved her into position. This is the closest he's been to her in weeks and he wasn't about to lose her again, "close your eyes sweetheart" he said softly feeling Caroline tense a little as his breath tickled her neck.

She nodded and Klaus moved his hands to see her eyes were actually closed he stepped beside her leaning in to her ear, "open your eyes."

Caroline felt nervous and a little scare but she opened her eyes and gasped. Klaus chuckled as Caroline stood there with her mouth gapping while her eyes scanned the wall.

"Nik," she breathed stepping closer to the wall holding out her hand to touch it, "this is amazing."

He smiled walking up to her. Seeing her react to something that has taken him over a month to finish is priceless, "you're amazing," he said softly standing beside her.

Caroline looked at him her emotions were everywhere. She wanted nothing more than to jump in his arms, but something was stopping her. She looked back up at the graffiti painting of Klaus dipping Caroline the night of their first date. It was a black stencil piece with bits of color filling it out. The dress Caroline was wearing that night was red and the necklaces she had on that night were shimmering white. The piece fit perfectly between all the other that plastered the wall because it seemed they were all meant to surround that piece.

Caroline closed her eyes and felt a tear run down her check. She sniffled and wiped it away, "I'm so mad at you," she said with a hint of hurt and frustration. She turned toward Klaus, "you lied to me about everything how am I supposed to trust you."

Klaus sighed stepping closer to her wiping away the other tears that fell from her eyes, "I know sweetheart, I know," he said softly as his hand caressed her cheek. "but believe me," he cupped her face so she'd look at him, "I love you."

Caroline stared at Klaus shaking her head, "you bastard," she said before yanking him toward her for a heated kiss. Klaus slid his hands around her waist smiling as their mouths danced.

"If you lie to me again," Caroline said in between kisses, "I'll stab you with your own knife."

Klaus chuckled kissing her harder as he pushed her against the wall. He pulled away cupping her face, "never." She smiled and kissed him again but more lightly, more meaningful. Klaus' hands got lost in Caroline's hair as her hands held his neck.

Caroline and Klaus burst through her apartment door with their hands all over each other. Klaus has never felt happier then feeling Caroline's skin on his fingers tips as his hand hikes up her stomach. She kicked the door shut with her foot and Klaus pushed her back against it.

His hungry kisses moved down her throat and along her collar bone. She was happy she was wearing a tank top because his lips were makes her body tingle. A moan escaped her lips as Klaus sucked on the nip of her neck lightly scraping his teeth against the skin.

Caroline pulled his face back to hers and kissed him, her tongue sliding his mouth. She smiled when Klaus groaned when she lightly sucked on his tongue. He pulled away resting his head on her forehead taking a breath. He smiled looking into her eyes, "you have no idea how much I missed you."

She smiled as she reached for the lock on her door. She clicked it, "well show me."

Klaus smirked as he scooped Caroline up earning a small scream from her as he headed for her room. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and started kissing his neck as he moved down her hallway. She felt him tense when she dragged her tongue along his neck. Klaus growled lowly as he pushed open Caroline's bedroom door.

She slide out of is embrace chuckling as her feet hit the ground. She pulled off her cardigan and reached for the buttons on Klaus' dress shirt. She worked her way down before unbuckling his belt. Klaus chuckled at how eager she was. He pulling in for a kiss as his hand pressed against her back. His hand reached up her tank top and Caroline felt her body shiver as his hands moved along her spine. Klaus started kissing down her neck as he unclasped her bra. Caroline shouldn't control the twitch that spread across her body when he sucked on her collar bone.

"Klaus," she breathed, feeling him smile.

He clicked his tongue looking back at her, pushing her hair behind her ears, "what happen to Nik?" he asked teasingly lifting her shirt off.

She chuckled running her hands up his chest enjoying each inch of Klaus, "Well," she said softly pushing his shirt off his shoulders, "Nik," she said seductively running her fingers down his bare chest playing with his necklaces.

"It seems you've been a rather bad boy," she smirked pulling at the wolf necklace she gave him. Her eyes glanced up to see the smirk on Klaus' face. She let her fingers drag along his stomach before stopping at his pants line with a lingering finger that pulled at his boxers.

She looked up at him and could see the lust in his eyes as she unbuttoned his pants and slid her hand in gripping his manhood. She moved her hand up and down a few times causing Klaus to lean forward in an attempt to catch her lips. She moved her head, "ah ah, patience," she chuckled but that didn't stop Klaus as he grabbed her by the ass lifting her up crawling onto her bed.

Klaus crashed her lips on Caroline's as they hit the bed. She wrapped her legs around Klaus' waist kicking his pants down with her feet. He laughed as his kisses moved to her neck, "and you're telling me to be patient."

"Oh shut up," she breathed pulling him back to her face to kiss him. She loved the weight of is body on her and the way he fit between her legs. She kissed him hard and moaned when he stuck his tongue in her mouth.

Klaus let his hands trail down her bare chest, lightly pitching her nipple before he reached the rim of her jeans. Caroline started to grind against Klaus as he rubbed her over her jeans, she moaned more in frustration then pleasure causing Klaus to smirk. He unbuttoned her jeans and slid his hand underneath her panties as his middle finger went between her folds.

She gasped as soon as Klaus inserted his finger inside her and started moving with his hand gripping at his back as she kissed his neck. Her breathing was getting heavy as Klaus moved his fingers to her clit encircling it as he kissed down her chest. He engulfed one of her breast lightly biting at the nipple before sucking.

Caroline was moved with his hand as Klaus brought her closer and closer to the edge. She moaned just as Klaus covered her mouth with his in a quick kiss, "come for me sweetheart," he said pecking her lips again as he moved his fingers faster. Her breath was coming in fast, arching her back as her orgasm washed over her body.

Klaus smirked as she continued to grind and moan on his fingers a little longer before pulling out of her. He kissed her neck, down her collar bone and across her stomach. He moved lower hooking his fingers in the loops of her jeans as he pulled them and her panties down. He stood up and quickly removed his boxers before crawling back over her.

Caroline put her hands around his waist as Klaus hovered over her. He pecked her lips and kissed her cheek. She closed her eyes as he moved to her neck, lightly sucking on the nip of her neck. Klaus hitched her leg behind his back as he positioned himself over Caroline's core.

"Open your eyes sweetheart," he whispered kissing her lightly.

Caroline opened her eyes to see Klaus smiling at her with his sweat damped hair stuck to his forehead. She could contain the butterflies in her stomach as she got lost in those bluish green eyes. "I love you."

Klaus tensed up as a grin spread across his face leaning down kissing her cheek, "say that again." She smiled lifting her hand to his cheek so he could look at her. "I love you."

Klaus kissed her, softly, as Caroline cupped his face. He pulled away exhaling, leaning his forehead against hers, "I love you too Caroline Forbes."

A/N Did she forgive Klaus to quickly? I was having a little writer trouble with the ending of this chapter. Of course they would eventually end up together but I feel it may have been to quickly. I don't know I'm just ranting now.

But none the less I hope you enjoyed and please leave a review. Do you feel this is the end or should it be a little more exciting?

Thanks for reading and the reviews, they're what makes this story worth writing. :-)
