It is daytime in the Outlands. The overall temperature is around 102°. Many exiled creatures are trying just to find some shade. Unluckily for them, there is very little shade outside of Scar's Palace. Everyone tried to sneak in, but were all chased out by the Outsiders. This was happening everywhere outside of the Adui and Outsider areas. It doesn't help that both of the groups are constantly claiming others land.
To follow up with the story, Zira starts on her journey back home, back to her husbands palace that is. She is not alone. She has carried her son Maisha for about two days in her mouth. She hasn't stopped, not even to rest. It was her dream to have another son that would take over the Pride Lands. The first time actually failed. First when Kovu, her first son, fell in love with Kiara, Simba's daughter. The second time was nearly successful, but was thwarted by Kopa, son of Simba and father of Koba. She was determined to train her second son even harder, and longer than she did with Kovu.
Once she arrived at Scar's Palace, Zira released Maisha and put him onto a small rock. From there she turned around and looked at the ground as if she was looking for Scar. "My great husband, I have born you a son. A son that will ultimately destroy the Pride Lands and return us to power. I promise that I will not make the same mistake twice." After that, three words were written in the sand mysteriously. They said "You better not." There was a violent little rumbling once the words disappeared. The shaking was so hard that a couple of big rocks fell to the ground.
Zira ignored it and went up to her bed. When she got there, she got the surprise of her life. She saw what looked like a male lion. His fur was goldish-brown and had a brown mane. His eyes were as blue as the sky but as sad as a depressed dog. She knew who he was from the start. "What are you doing here Pridelander!"
"Ran away," Tojo said, "Not named heir. Want revenge on my family!" He had a hardened voice, his eyes turned from sky blue to fiery red when he mentioned his family.
"Well then," Zira replied with an evil grin on her face, "you have come to the right place my friend."
"I will do anything to help take down my family."
"Anything?" Zira responded. Tojo nodded in approval. "Okay then, tell me everything that I need to know about your father."
"He is far helpful and headstrong. His bravery level is high but his smarts are below average."
"That is all I need to know," Zira said. She stepped back and was quiet for a couple of moments. A thought soon came into her head. She then walked over and whispered it to Tojo. For a brief second, his eyes turned back into sky blue, but they were quickly re-replaced by fiery red.
"I am in." He looked Zira straight in the eyes without any expression or feeling. His face was as cold as stone. His body lost its lively color.
"Alrighty then," Zira said, evilly grinning at him. She quickly glanced at her son whom was just sitting on a nearby rock. "We will start you training tomorrow." Zira escorted Tojo to the corner of Scar's Palace where he would rest.
