Social Care chapter 17

This is it, ladies and gentlemen! The final chapter of Social Care!

Benny: It's about time you put this damn thing out of its misery. This is gonna be as short as the ending to your last story, isn't it?

Maybe, maybe not. We'll just have to wait and see.

Benny: Stop trying to act like a hipster Chesire Cat, you idiot. Can't you be straight and blunt with even yourself for once?

Anyways, enjoy the story!

The following day, the Eds were in school with Johnny. Although they had gotten used to their semi-popularity, it still tripped them up from time to time. Who would have thought it? At Peach Creek Junior High, the Eds were social outcasts, losers who had nobody to hang out with but each other. Here, at St. Mary's, they were respected, popular, even liked by a decent portion of the student body. It was a complete 180° in comparison but none of them were going to complain.

The P.A. came on and the speaker said "Good morning students! Here are today's announcements!

The St. Mary's Raptors played the Lemon Brook Sours on Saturday in the Battle of the City quarterfinals. Thanks to the aid of Mike Alline and Eddward, the Raptors beat the Sours 4-2 for the first time in St. Mary's history. They'll be playing the Peach Creek Cobblers next Friday.

The planned trip to North Lemon Brook Ridge for classes Y709, Y728, Y809 and Y802 has been cancelled. These classes will instead undergo their regular schedule.

The Better Your Brain team will be meeting tomorrow afternoon in room 107. They will be competing against Williamson Junior High at Peach Creek High School this Saturday.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!"

The P.A. then turned off and the students began to slightly relax as attendance was taken.

Ed asked "Do you think we have a shot, Eddy?"

Eddy answered "Ed, it's our old school. This will be a breeze. Trust me."

Johnny raised an eyebrow and replied "Don't get cocky, now, Eddy. The Peach Creek Cobblers are the third best team in the league and they haven't lost a home game. They've only lost three games, all away and all in the past few weeks."

Eddy grinned and said "Even better. If they've been losing left and right, they'll be off guard and we can strike them at just the right moment. "

Double D responded with "But, Eddy, they could also be very furious at their previous losses and try their hardest to beat us."

Eddy sighed, slouched and replied "You just had to take the wind out of my sails, huh, Double D?"

Double D chuckled and said "Indeed, I did, Eddy."

The four relaxed and began discussing other topics as attendance was finished.

Yeah, sorry if this seems pretty close. But I figured leaving it short and sweet would be best and keep people thinking.

Benny: You're just trying to wrap this thing up because you feel guilty.

More excited than guilty, Benny but whatever helps you sleep at night.

Benny: I sleep just fine, darkshadow. That and I do chunks of sleep in the day.

I'm not too sure on what I'll do next. It might be that Vampire Street sequel I've been talking about for ages or a TDI Again remake.

Benny: So creepy squared and boring redone, basically?

There are other options. It's just that those are unique.

Benny: Yeah, right. Any schmuck can write that garbage you did.

I'm not getting into an argument with you over this, Benny. Happy New Year's, guys! (a day early)

Benny: *scowls, wearing a party hat and a pair of 2016 glasses* This is so ridiculous. *blows a party blower*
