I know it's been a few months, but everything is coming at me at once, and I just now had a few moments to finish up this chapter!

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT! IT MEANS ALOT TO ME! :)

Please remember to review at the end! :)

Gently, he sat her down on the bed in the bedroom, but as he did, his heart became heavier and heavier. Silas was here or at least in the underworld, and he had trapped Klaus and Caroline inside their palace, and for what?

For what purpose did Silas have to trap the loving couple of the Underworld?

"He wants me out in the open." He muttered, holding her closer.

She quieted, and pulled back to look into his face. "What do you mean?" She asked, gently, though she read the answer in his face. "No, Stefan," She remarked, shaking her head. "You can't."

He grasped her hand with his good hand, and gazed into her eyes. "There's no choice, Rebekah." He stated, strongly. "I have to do this. You know as well as I do." He added sadness and finality in his voice.

She shook her head, and moved back from him. Her eyes flashed with mild anger. "Don't you dare!" She shouted in his face. "I won't let you even consider the possibility of facing him by yourself!" She stated with a force of anger.

Stefan shook his head, and closed his eyes. "He wants me, Rebekah." He stated, though he knew that was only half true. "I won't risk losing you to something that is my fight." He added, firmly.

Rebekah shook her head, and pulled her hand from his grasp. "Your fight?" She asked, though it really wasn't a question. "Your fight!" She shouted in his face. "How dare you?!" She shouted, her eyes filling with unshed tears. "My brother and his wife and their daughter are trapped in the Underworld. That makes this my fight just as it does yours, not to mention that I love you, and I won't lose you, not after everything we had to go through to be together." She ranted, shaking her head with a force that moved his heart.

"Rebekah," He began after a moment, but she shook her head.

"Fight me all you want, Stefan, but I'm going to save my brother and his family. Now you can come with me, or you can sit there, and try to think of ways to stop me. Either way, I'm going." She stated, standing up, and moved towards the door.

Stefan shook his head, and grasped her hand before she could move out of his reach. When she looked down into his eyes, he couldn't stop the small smile on his face. "We're going to need something." He replied, firmly.

Rebekah nodded her head, and smiled as he stood up, and then fell into his arms. "We can do this, Stefan." She replied, after a moment.

He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. Instead of reaffirming her belief that they could, he kissed the top of her head, and held her close.

If they were going to face Silas, they needed something that no other had used before.

They were going to need the Hammer of Fire.

Fire blazed around their home, and Klaus held his wife and daughter in his arms, protecting them as best as he could.

The souls of the Underworld had been evacuated to a safe haven, but all those who remained were in the safety of the castle, but it was slowly becoming apparent that the fire was trying to break through the barriers of the castle.

Trying to reach the royal family.

Caroline lowered her eyes, and gazed at her daughter before lifting her eyes to her husband. "Are you sure this is the right thing?" She asked, just as the walls of the palace began to shake.

Klaus sighed, and touched his daughter's head with a gentle touch. "Anna will take care of her, Caroline, and so will my mother." He answered, as Caroline's tears began to fall down her face.

He kissed her cheek in a gentle way, before kissing his daughter, and watched with pain as Caroline handed their daughter to Anna.

He held his wife in his arms, and watched as Anna disappeared from the throne room, and Caroline turned in his arms to bury her face in his chest.

Their daughter was safe, and now all that mattered was protecting their home so she could return to them.

But for the moment, all Klaus cared about was holding his wife, and fighting the tears that threatened to leave his eyes.

Rebekah watched as Stefan pulled a ball of fire out of the forge, and with his strength, forged it, quickly, into a large hammer with flames generating from the head.

Her eyes widened, only for a second before she stepped towards him, and placed her hand on his curved arm.

"What will it do?" She asked, softly.

He sighed, and the look in his eyes told her the answer she knew was the only option. "Kill him."

Klaus stroked his wife's face, and smiled, softly. "No matter what happens, I love you, Caroline, and I'm so proud to call you my wife." He remarked, watching her blue-green eyes shine with love.

"I love you, Niklaus." She returned, lifting her hand to his face. "I will always love you, no matter what happens, never lose sight of that." She whispered, as he took her in his arms, and placed his lips on hers for a passionate, longing kiss.

They knew they only had a few moments, before everything went to hell, and this was the only moment they knew, they could share their love.

As they parted lips, their foreheads touched each other, and they breathed in each other's scents.

"It's getting hotter, Klaus." She remarked, lowly, fear drenching her words.

He sighed, and held her close to his body. "I'm here, my love." He returned, kissing the top of her head. "I'll always be here."

The fight was coming, and they both knew if someone didn't come soon. They would never see their daughter again.

"Stefan, where are you?" Caroline whispered, holding her husband tightly against her. "Please hurry…" She uttered, just before the fire began to breach the palace. "Please…."

Rebekah felt a pain in her gut as she arrived at the gate of the underworld, her brother's domain. She knew this was foolish, and she wasn't entirely sure what she was doing, since Stefan had agreed to let her come, but this was something she had to do herself.

Something was calling her, and though she tried to fight it, she couldn't resist the lure of whatever was beckoning her to this place.

Turning her head, she bit her lip. Stefan would be furious, but when she had left, he had been forging something to aide in his fight against Silas.

This was not the worst thing she could think of doing, for she knew that she had to come, if not for the call, but also to help her brother, Caroline, and her little niece.

Pushing the gates open, fire reached out and began to engulf her.

She cried out, more in surprise than anything, only to realize the fire didn't burn.

It welcomed her.

"Rebekah?"

She felt her body being lifted, and carried by the flames, and for a moment she welcomed it.

"Rebekah? NO!"

Turning her head, she felt her eyes widen. "Stefan?"

Before he could reach her, the gates closed, and only the sounds of her cries were echoing in his ears.
