"Hey, Janet! Janet!"
"What is it?" The black-haired teen turned around to see her cliques running towards her holding a newspaper.
"Did you hear about a Leonheart coming to study here?"
"You idiot! she already came in yesterday," the two started arguing and Janet rolled her eyes grabbing the newspaper from them. Her eyes were in shock as soon as she read the front page article "Hot School Couple: Johnny Test and Sylvia Leonheart"
"I can't believe that idiot Johnny got into the front page using that-that girl! He's such a user!" she ripped the front page and crumpled it, throwing the item on the ground. Her companions stopped arguing and followed her as she stomped her way to school.
Johnny didn't bother to wake up today. He wanted to look as helpless as possible since he doesn't really want to go to school today. Dukey kept poking him and asking why he doesn't want to go today.
"Hey, Johnny... Johnny... Johnny... Johnny..."
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
"Dear, breakfast time!" it's his mom. "Urgh... I'm sick" he tried to imitate the best croaky-sick-kinda voice he can and Dukey was watching him doing so, clearly not amused at his actions.
"Oh, my! Stay in bed then..." her steps going down the stairs were becoming barely audible and as soon as it was gone Johnny sat up on the edge of his bed. Dukey pestered him with stuff like "What's wrong?" "Hey Johnny..." "Your dog needs attention!" Johnny faced him and started to talk in a whisper.
"Hey, remember the girl we crashed into last weekend?" Dukey pondered a bit then he shivered, "Uh, yeah the one with the creepy smile... Why?"
"Well..."
Janet burst into the newspaper club office the moment she stepped into school. The whole club looked at her upset and fuming figure. "What's the deal about putting Test on the school paper?"
"Uhm, excuse me?" a sweet voice came in the room lightly tapping on the door as she slowly made her way in. Janet turned around to see a silver-haired newbie on the door. She recognized her as the Leonheart girl on the front page but her eyes looked different somehow.
The president of the club walked towards her, "Do you need something, Sylvia? How about you come sit for a while," he asked politely. She shook her head, "Ah, you must've mistaken me, I'm Xerah her twin" the people stared at her intently.
"I just came to tell you that if you can, please discard the story about my sister on the paper, you know, before it gets out of hand" and with that she walked away from the room leaving silence on the room. The president cleared his throat, " Ok everyone you heard the lady discard every article and start a new one!".
Janet was satisfied with what happened a while ago so she left in peace, 'The Balance of Popularity is restored'she thought. She can't shake off the way Xerah told off the article, 'Well, I guess she has authority herself, that's why' she concluded.
She didn't noticed someone in the corner and bumped into that person. "Hey! watch it!" she yelled and saw the same face she encountered this morning but with red eyes, Janet gulped 'Great a Leonheart two times in a row', she stood up and dusted her jeans. "So you must be Sylvia?"
Sylvia nodded, "Have you seen Johnny?" she asked abruptly. "No, and why would I waste my time finding him anyway?" she snorted.
Then the bells rang and they walked to their rooms separately.
"Sissy Blakely..."
"Here,"
"Sylvia Leonheart..."
"Present,"
...
"Johnny Test... Test? Absent" Mr. Teacher-man exclaimed as he continued finishing the attendance. "Ok, let us continue our lesson on radicals. Please open your textbooks to page 79 and take notes as I discuss"
Sylvia, looked at the empty seat beside her the whole period.
'Why is he not here?'
'Did he ditch school for a date?'
'No, he won't do that...'
'Is he at the hospital, did he move to somewhere far?'
'No, I won't let that happen again!' she shook her head as these thoughts came swirling in her mind. Just as she was about to turned her head to the board, she saw something outside.
"Xerah? what are you doing here?" she whispered to herself.
