*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

"Test!" a shrill voice called out. Johnny looked out his bedroom window and saw Janet at the front door. Confused at why she's here he stayed where he was just looking at the door being answered by his dad. It seems to him that he told her off.

"What is she doing here?" he thought out loud.

"Who?" Dukey asked him and caught on Janet walking on the sidewalk. She just crossed the road and walked faster somewhere with her clique. Johnny heard his father knocking on the door and before he could respond his father already opened the door.

"Johnny, a classmate of yours gave you the assignments you need to do" he handed him 2 books and closed the door. Johnny groaned in annoyance and dropped the books to the floor and went back to his computer to play games. Dukey noticed a letter in between the books and read it.

He gave the letter to Johnny, "Uh, I think this is for you..." Johnny paused his game and took the letter from him. He started to read it out loud, "Hey Test... *ehem* Hey Test" he mimicked Janet's voice while reading it.

"You're probably using that Leonheart diva for popularity aren't you? To put me into the bottom... Well tough luck because that's not happening. You may get popular by your 'inventions' but the moment you start getting the attention of many departments I'll be keeping an eye on you to use your actions against you... Preppily, Janet"

"Well, that was a long read" Johnny exclaimed as he crumpled the paper and went back to his game. 'I don't even care about anything involving Sylvia at this point, she's really weird and making me feel uncomfortable'. Dukey is staring intently at Johnny before they left his room for a walk.

"How dare you create a scene?! At my school!" Sylvia yelled at her sister Xerah upon arriving home.

"School?" Xerah crossed her arms "You mean to say Man-Hunt Arena" she said while rolling her eyes. Sylvia laughed dryly at her remark.

"Well, excu~se me, Miss I-care-for-my-sister-that-I-monitor-her-24/7" she mocked back.

"Says the girl who-"

"Don't even think about it!" she raised a finger and Xerah shushed.

"I'll go for a walk!" Sylvia stomped her feet before heading towards the door and left.

"You feeling better already?" Dukey asked Johnny as soon as they left the shop with snowcones in their hands-and paws. Johnny nodded with a smile on his face after consuming the whole treat.

"Yeah, I guess getting cooped up in my room with no action for a whole day kept me in tight space" he added.

While taking a walk in the park, they spotted Jillian jogging with her green earphones. Johnny called her over, "Hey, Jillian!". She took notice and waved back, they met at the fountain afterwards.

"What are you doing here? It's getting dark?" Jillian asked the duo.

"Taking a walk, you?"

"Trying to run a half-mile, I don't take 'sports' fun and educational at all" she replied bitterly. "Also, the Nexdor guy keeps bringing me the sweet substance, you call candies and chocolate, at my locker"

"Same here" Johnny sighed.

"You mean he brings them to you too?" she raised an eyebrow.

Johnny laughed, "No... Uhm, I mean that I'm going through a somewhat similar thing"

"Oh, I see... Well then see you around Johnny" she bid farewell after planting a kiss on his cheek and jogged off. Johnny was beet red and stared at Jillian's figure as it faded into the streets.

"Hey, Dukey, I guess we need to go-" his eyes widened in surprise to see his dog's collar on the ground with Dukey nowhere to be seen.

He picked up the collar and began examining it, "Dukey! It's getting late! We need to leave now!"

Silence answered his calls...

"Hey, Dog! This isn't funny!"

Still nothing...

"DUKEY!"

"I called the Animal Control to confirm if they had captured or took Dukey but they said they never patrolled today" Lila told his son who's wallowing on the couch with his dog's collar on his lap.

"I'll be printing posters by tomorrow and your father will be on the look out, patrolling in his car" she assured him.

Susan and Mary sat beside their brother in silence, looking very solemn. "He's a smart dog, he can come home if he's lost or something right?" Susan patted his brother on his back.

'I know that but... something feels so wrong'
