Chapter 7
Hei tried grasping at the hands gripping his shoulders, the hands left marks in his skin. He tried electrifying his skin but the shunting did not work equally with electricity. The final leap and he was on the ground face first. He looked around quickly for the pair of hands owner. He saw a man lying on the ground in spasms. Hei needed the guy alive to question him and threaten his life, he sent pulsations through the guys chest but he only grunted and shook harder.
Hei thought to himself what a waste, considering the man was able to sneak up on him was a feat. The man's eyes glanced at him and his lips pushed up his cheeks, he was smirking. "So you're the one whose been jumping around causing problems. The Sanctuary is on to you. Thank you. That means they're not on my back."
Hei stared hard. "And who are you?"
"So he speaks!" He spasmed more. "Aren't you mid Asian?"
"Japanese," Hei was tight lipped. "Now answer my question."
"Salis Nadir. Already been a service to you."
"What... power did you use on me? Where the hell are we?"
"I don't know. Another dimension with no taste in decoration or anything not brown."
"What does the Sanctuary want with Yin?"
"Who the hell is Yin?" Hei was losing his patience. "Listen sunny Jim, I hate having to lie here in the dirt but will you do me a favor?"
Hei crossed his eyes. "I don't do favors."
"Just a small one." His eyes danced with mischief.
Hei decided he only owed him for shocking him but nothing more than five minutes of his time would be wasted for whatever he wanted. "What-"
Salis caught him with an upper cut and a right leg kick knocking him back and flung across the ground. Salis jumped up and ran. Hei was down for the count only for a moment. He tracked after the Shunter he found a triangle building which was more like a giant U turn. An army of cards and pointed masked people, Hei slipped to the edge of the road covering into the shadows and watched the army. Salis Nadir slipped off as well on the other side further down the street. Looks like Hei was not the only one hiding from the mad mass.
"Find the girl. Bring her back to the castle and make sure she doesn't escape or I'll have your heads." A girl?! Castle? Hei had a choice. Follow Salis. Or find Yin. He followed the army group closest to him. He could always hunt Nadir when he knew where Yin was waiting.
