Regain. Regain composure. Clove regain your goddamn composure or so help-
"Time to go" The older peacekeeper from earlier interrupts my thoughts, looking straight through me as if I wasn't really there.
Clenching my jaw, I walk forward and out of the room. As soon as I am through the doorway Cato and I are rushed towards a car, surrounded by peacekeepers to keep the crowd away from us. I'm shoved into the car after Cato, the door slamming just in time to not catch my foot. I look to Cato, who stares unbashfully back at me. My gaze appears nuetral to the outsider, but just as I know Cato to my annoyance he knows me and can tell how uncomfortable I am. I look away, but his gaze is held for a moment longer before also looking out the tinted windows of the car. He settles into his seat further, his knee bumping mine is his way of comforting me without letting anyone else see.
We reach the train station and I am at first taken aback by how many people that are there. Dull expressions fade away at the arrival of our car. Hoots and hollers commence before a peacekeeper can open the door.
"Cl-ato, cl-ato, cl-ato!" Our names swim through the air and merge together by the time they reach my ear drums. With one last glance at one another, we step outside. Proud smiles form on our faces as we wave and show ourselves off to the richer part of the district on our way into the train. Waving and sharing knowing glance with my district partner, we step onto the train together. The crowd loves it, they love our partnership. Eat into the great Cato from the wealthy and Clove from the poor coming together to be one of the most dynamic pairs the district has seen.
~ Okay, first I would like to apologize for the shortest chapter of the century but I felt like this is how Clove would have lived it. I wanted you guys to see it in pieces, but still from her perspective. I hope to update chapter 4 soon. Until then... ~
