The wedding was drawing closer with each passing day, and Hermione was having her doubts. When the day of the wedding finally came, she wasn't sure what she was to do.
"Mother," she asked Aphrodite as she was putting on her wedding gown, " do you have the gods that are destined to be together in a book?"
" No, just the humans." her mother replied, than added, "My, you look beautiful, honey."
Hermione did, indeed, look stunning in her sleeveless, full-length dress that puffed ( yes, I said puffed) out at the waist.
As the hour wedding approached, she looked at all the people sitting there and released, she couldn't do it. But she walked down the isle anyway. She plotted how to tell Zeus tell the "I do's", than she knew how to do it.
When it was her turn she uneasily said "I…….I…….don't" it was harder than she thought to deny her king.
"WHAT!!?!!?!!?!!?!!!!!" Zeus bellowed as every one else gasped. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN DON'T?!!!!?!??!??!!!!!?!!"
"Forgive me your royalness but……….but……….I don't love you." she replied " Everyone deserves to find true love." she added desperately.
"Who is the monster that has stolen the heart if my bride?!!" Zeus called to all the gods, than he turned to Hermione, " which one of these men has stolen your love?"
"None, Sire." she answered him than looking at her high sandals.
" Than whom could it be?" Zeus was extremely confused.
"I'm," Hermione began than she looked Zeus in the eyes. Courage seemed to flow through her. "I'm in love with a mortal." she finished bravely.
Silence. Nothing but silence answered her statement. When Zeus finally spoke, very red in the face, he asked, "Whom?"
She said his name hesitantly, " Harry James Potter."
Lightning flashed. "I SHALL TEACH YOU TO FALL IN LOVE WITH MORTALS!" Zeus yelled, "I shall take away your powers and send you to earth. If you can get him to love you, marry you, you will have your powers back and you both will live happily in my palace. If not, you will stay on the horrible planet for eternity." Before she could utter a reply, she was stripped of her powers, and was on the horrid world of Earth.
