Chapter 4: Thief has Finally Returns
A few days has passed the two reploids did help me out and I managed to extract the spell out of my bells to let Lotus and Kira to hear it when someone is coming near the capsules. Terra did said that she was coming and going. However it has been three days since her departure for a while. All of us tend to worried about her. She is human and those viroids sounded deadly to her as well to us Reploids. I spotted something on the surveillance and went to the location. What surprised me it is Terra. Terra looked exhausted and in horrible shape. I am not good with human anatomy but I do think she needs rest. I carried her to the laboratory table. The blanket that was there I put it on her as I checked the computers. I went to set up barriers. After I came back, Lotus and Kira saw Terra in the table in horrible shape. Kira helped with some human kits.
"Is she ok?" I asked. The two knows that I am concerned about her. Kira walks up to me.
"She is ok for now. However, she is infected with the viroid. I do not know how long she will last," said Kira.
"So she is going to die in few weeks then," I said. Kira nodded as she hit the wall. I looked at her.
"First some asshole tried to take my father away now someone is killing my friend. Now I will kill somebody," said Kira.
"Calm down. I would like to help and find this person who did it as well. She did try to save this laboratory by making it happen within the outside world," I said, "I am grateful for what she has done and yet now I do want to help her out in some way."
"Well, when she wakes up we can ask her," said Kira. I nodded. We both knew it will be in the matter time when Terra gets up. Lotus, Kira, and myself alternate rounds and training. One do rounds, the other trains, and last person is either checking the surveillance or checking on Terra. Terra woke up when I did a final check on the computer and relieved Lotus from her training.
"GUARDIAN HQ!!" shouted Terra as she woke up. I looked at her as I called Lotus in. Lotus brought Kira with her.
"Terra calm down now. You are safe," said Kira. Terra had tears in her eyes. I looked at her.
"I am sorry. Sorry that I can't do anything again," said Terra. I looked at the human and sighed.
"Terra just tell us what happen," said Lotus. All of us three had our ears open as we listened.
"I went back to Guardian HQ. Prairie suspected that one of the guardians is planning an assassination. She asked me a series of questions. What we both did not know the person who plans on the assassination actually did not only assassinate Prairie but invade Guardian HQ. The only members that is left was me at that time. However, the thing that shock me is the newcomer that invaded Guardian HQ has the schematics of the viroids and the logbook that no one can access to," said Terra.
"Is it the guy with blonde hair brown eyes tanned skin with green clothing on," I asked. Terra looked at me and nodded.
"That guy will come here again to assassinate you and probably try to kill," said Lotus.
"Then there is no mistake that it is the same guy who escaped from me," I said. Kira looked at the surveillance cameras.
"I am going to do my rounds now. I am going to keep my communication link open so if trouble comes I can contact either of you," said Kira as she left.
"I still do not know how people are getting sick within few weeks and this opportunistic guy manage to kill us all," said Terra.
"Viroids. He must know how to control them and use it as a weapon," I said, "We found that it has infected your body as well." Terra looked in me in shock.
"I…. Am infected," said Terra as she looked down and is about to cry her heart out. I nodded and looked at her.
"I am going to continue training," said Lotus as she disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
"Those cyber elves, they keep on healing us and died or use their abilities to help us to fight against the viroids. The last one manage to get me to the transporter room. I set a time bomb to destroy it in 30 seconds. I warped here. I do believed these viroids will wiped them out if not us," said Terra.
"I see. This communication thing what is it?" I asked. Terra looked at me and pulled a device out of her ear.
"It is a com-link that let us hear and talk to each other in a far distance. It is controlled by radio waves that it emits and touches another one no matter what distance it is. Sometimes it use the old satellites to talk to each other if we are in different parts," said Terra, "I manage to repair one as well as build one. Mine is the smallest com-link and it work really well."
"May I?" I asked. Terra smiled as she placed the device on my ear. I am surprised I can hear Lotus training and Kira's footsteps without me looking in the surveillance camera to point them. I can hear them both in the same time.
"You can actually keep that one. I have my old one which will take up most of my ear," said Terra as she puts a bigger device on her ear.
"I thank you," I said. Terra smiled and started to cough. I looked at the human as she smiled.
"Hey I am fine. It is just a cough. I do not know how long will the viroid will kill me, but I will do whatever I can to help you guarding the capsules," said Terra. I nodded.
"I thank you," I said. Terra smiled and looked down. Something I can tell in her face that something was wrong. I went to the computer and I heard fighting. But not type of Lotus fight but Kira's style. I put the surveillance on what I think it was her location. I found her and yet that guy appears this time he has two mechanaloids and few viroids.
"He is back," I said. Terra looked in the surveillance. Terra push something in her device.
"Lotus can you hear me?" asked Terra. Lotus stopped her training and heard Terra's voice.
"Yes I hear you," said Lotus as I heard her as well. Terra had that worried face I saw before.
"Lotus, Kira is in a fight and she needs your help now," said Terra. I heard a beeping noise as I looked in the surveillance. Lotus was there quickly.
"That beeping noise what is that?" I asked Terra. Terra looked at me and tried not to worry more.
"That means that the person is cutting the link. Kira hardly cuts her link but once in a while she does. Lotus cuts hers off when she is in battle," said Terra. I was starting to worried about Terra's condition. I heard a huge blast and looked at the surveillance. I saw Kira and Lotus almost destroyed. I have to take action. I look at Terra.
"Please do not get near the capsules when I am gone I automatically warped into this room again," I said. She nodded. I teleported to the same room as Kira and Lotus.
"Time to die now," said the blonde hair guy. I did several tricks and again I did my priestess magic.
"Priestess art, spirit bell barriers," I said as two spirit balls protected Lotus and Kira. Both looked at the attacker as he was repelled back.
"Oh it is you again. That means that no one really is guarding those capsules now. What a wonderful treasure to have since I am going to make these into scrap yard junk and have those reploids into my workers," said the blonde hair guy.
"I won't let you," said Kira, "I won't let those people in there to be enslave by you. And for the record two of them you can't brainwash. The will find out sooner or later the truth. Like my father I won't die easily." The barrier I had on them dissipated since it was a three hit wore off kind of deal.
"Kira Wily will be my first victim of the day to die," said the blonde hair guy. Kira looked furious but something releasing out of her. The same demonic feeling I had when I could not handle the viroids that started to penetrate my barriers. I moved back as she started to tore the viroids and mechanaloids to shreds. I went to Lotus and helped her up. Both her and I went against the blonde hair guy. Kira finished the mechanaloids and viroids then turned her focus to the blonde hair guy. He moved fast as he was toying with Lotus and me. He now had a serious look.
"So the rumors are true. 'Daughter of Zero' has all of Zero's abilities. Well then I definitely have to kill you now," said the blonde hair guy. Kira is ready and that guy attacked her. The fight did not last long. Kira damaged every system he had. The blonde hair guy smiled and looked at us.
"I underestimated you. Seems that I have to use your parent parts in order to destroy you. Kira Wily or should I say. Kira Millsberg," the blonde guy said. I looked at Kira as she tried to go after him as had left. The fool had left and I looked at Kira as she notice something.
"I think he scanned me," said Kira. Lotus looked at Kira and what the blonde guy had said.
"Kira, I think he is bluffing. Zero is in the capsule along with Iris. There is no way he can use them," said Lotus.
"My foster parents he can't but my creating father he can. I may not know how he blown up, but I know there must be few weapons he has externally," said Kira.
"Well if you keep thinking that Iris and Zero are your true parents then you will not have any problems then," said Lotus.
"I know. Those two raise me well and those two is the only parents I have," said Kira. I looked at the two.
"Well lets go back, Terra would be hungry by now since she cannot move," I said. Lotus and Kira nodded.
"She has to eat. Like that she can be living for a little while longer," said Lotus. Kira looked behind and then followed us after a minute.
