Guys, I'm not sure if I got the story within the story right, but it's close enough, I think.

I woke up in the middle of the night, sitting bolt upright. I was shivering violently and crying. I felt cold arms around me; pulling me towards the body they were attached to, and felt a wave of nausea. It was out of relief.

I threw my arms around Edward's waist and buried my face in his chest while he continued to try and comfort me.

"Bella, what's wrong?" he whispered. "What is it?"

"I was fine, and then…I think I was waking up and I remembered this story I had heard once and…it's a good thing you're indestructible," I whispered, clinging to him.

"Tell me," he murmured in my hair, holding me close.

I shuddered and leaned back, looking up into his eyes. "I heard this story a year ago. I don't know if it's true or not, but it explains my babbling," I told him.

He nodded once and I told him the story.

"While driving down the road on motorcycle, a girl tells her boyfriend to slow down.

"He said, 'No, this is fun.'

"'No, it's scary,' she said. 'Please slow down.'

"The boyfriend shakes his head and smiled. 'Do me a favor and take my helmet off of me and put it on.'

"The girl does as she is told and he said, 'Now hug me tighter and tell me you love me.'

"She tells him 'I love you' and holds him tighter."

Edward sighed. "The boyfriend sounds like a jerk."

"I'm not done," I whispered in anguish. "Early the next morning there was a story about motorcycle crash. One person walked away. The young man had realized only two miles down the road that his brakes had stopped working. He didn't want to tell his girlfriend, so he had her take his helmet and hug him tighter and asked her to tell him that she loved him one last time."

Fresh tears spilt over and I barely breathed out the last three words.

Edward held me tighter to his chest, smoothing my hair.

"You know me too well," he whispered, pressing his lips to my forehead. His voice shook slightly and I realized that he might have shed a few tears if he had the ability. "Even as a human, I would protect you to that extent."

"I love you, Edward," I whispered.

"I love you, too. And I promise we won't crash," he told me. "No matter what, we'll keep on going."

"Forever," I agreed, shivering one last time before he pressed his lips to mine tenderly.

So, guys, I read that on someone's profile and I couldn't resist it. Actually, the story sort of woke me up at two in the morning. My mother got mad at me, but I wrote it anyway. Hope you liked it. It's not very long, but I think it says a lot about their relationship, so there.

Let me know what you thought about it, please.
