"I can't believe you're actually treating patients!" Wilson said as he followed House around the clinic.
"Well I'm a doctor you know, that's what we're supposed to do. Heal the sick ones. I know your patients can't always be healed but that doesn't mean we should stop treating them. What kind of doctor are you?"
Wilson ignored him and continued on with his mission. "You're supposed to be upstairs with your fiancé opening gifts for your spawn."
"Pretty sure Cameron can do that on her own." he said placing the chart he was holding on top of others and picked the next one. "Ms. Farin."
A girl in her (very) early twenties stood up and followed House into Exam Room 1, Wilson closely behind.
"You should be there, it's your kid too." Wilson continued to argue.
This time it was House who ignored him. "So what is the problem..." he looked at the chart " Laura. Funny my sister has the same name"
The girl smiled at him. "Well, I was at my dance classes yesterday and suddenly I made a wrong move and hurt my leg. And it's been hurting since then. My knees just went weak and I fell. I'm just hoping the leg weakness is nothing serious."
House put his index finger to his chin and thought, looking the girl over. Looking at the chart he asked. "How long have you been dancing?"
"I've been dancing since I was five. Why?"
"Did anything distract you at the dance class?" he asked again.
The girl blushed. "Well there was a guy who was watching us dancing bu-"
"Weakness in the knees, common when you're in love." House simply answered not giving Laura a chance to answer.
"No, it can't be that. I mean, that never happened to me." she argued, getting up from the Exam Room table and grabbing House's arm.
House sighed annoyed. "Look, there is no other explanation. You screwed up because of him. You've been dancing your whole life, like you said, that never happened. So I suggest you ask the guy out or keep hurting yourself." Jerking his arm away, he left the room with Wilson who had stayed quiet in the Exam Room behind him.
"I can't believe it. Even nice looking people are able to be stupid when they're in love." he grumbled under his breath.
"Ok, now that your patient is treated can you go upstairs and at least feign to be happy to be there." Wilson tried desperately.
House stopped at the nurse station and looked at his friend suspiciously while taking two red lollipops from the jar. "Why do you even care?"
"Well, first of all Lisa said she'd made my life a living hell if I didn't get you to show up and second of all Allison is my friend and I know she wants you there."
House narrowed his eyes at him. "That's BS! What's the real reason?" Watching his friend getting more and more nervous, it finally hit him. "You bet on something." he stated feigning shock.
Wilson rolled his eyes but knew when he had lost. "Don't act so shocked." he sighed. "How about this, you get 40 of the money I get if you come with me."
House thought about it for a moment. "50 ."
Wilson rolled his eyes. "Whatever, just come on now."

Meanwhile, Cameron was in the Diagnostic Department sitting at the glass table surrounded by co-workers and a few family members who were all watching the soon-to-be mother opening one gift after another.
Cameron was enjoying herself and she absolutely loved the gifts they had for her. There were stuffed animals, clothes and toys for the little one.
Looking around, she couldn't help but feel loved. All these people were here to celebrate with her and the fact that in a couple of months a new person would join the world. She knew someone was missing, someone important. But she also knew that he didn't like such events which was why she was even more surprised when she saw him limping into the room, followed by Wilson.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at House as if they were waiting for him to yell at them, mock them or show his sweet side which only one was allowed to see.
"Greg!" Cameron waved him over. "Look at these sweet bodysuits. Aren't they adorable?"
House nodded once and looked briefly at the gifts. He was impressed by how much there was, he thought since the kid was his spawn that there wouldn't even be people here. Must be for Allison. She's the complete opposite from him but still, the both of them love each other. Must be true, opposite do attract.
"Where's the cake?" he asked and turned around looking for it. Cameron smiled at him. The only fact that he was there made her happy, and that was everything she wanted.
