Her fiancé always brought her thoughtful gifts: flowers he had picked, a lovely sketch he had drawn, a beautiful dress in her favorite color.

As they fumbled together in the dark, he would whisper in her ear: "See how much I love you?" And she would smile, for she had escaped her mother's fate.

She stared in horror at the gift given to her by her other brother. His grin, so much like her fiancé's, was sweet and honest.

As he forced her down onto the shining remains of their brother, he whispered, "See how much I love you?"
