Chapter 1: The Awakening
"Lily, Lily Honey can you hear me?" My mother's voice was faint and blurred it was getting clearer by the second. I managed to open my eyes and see the world around me was completely disorientating. "Where am I?" I was confused. "You are in the hospital; you gave me quite a scare withal the blood. You managed to cut through your hand, if your father and I didn't come home when we did you would have died. You have been out for weeks!" This news shocked me. I focused on my mother's face. She had black rings under her eyes as though she had not slept since I was hospitalised. "I am going to get the nurse, we have a couple of things to sort out and I think you may need some more pain medication." I started to hyperventilate as soon as my mother left the room. I started to ask questions in my head that I and nobody I knew would know the answer to. Such questions like, why was this woman in my house? And what does she want? I convinced myself that it was just a conclusion when the nurse entered my room. °Here we go. This should make you feel better. Now how did you fall? °
