Chapter 5. The Plan in Action.

"Team, it's time we put our plan in action." Gai said while distributing wireless radios. "We leave immediately." Everyone nodded.

"I'll make you proud, Gai-sensei!" Lee said giving his nice guy pose. And so the team separated and each went to their hiding spot. All 6 members of Akatsuki were present.

Karin stiffened. The Akatsuki was having another meeting.

"What's wrong, Karin?" Tobi asked, looking at her horrified expression. Then she calmed down.

"It appears we have visitors." She said smirking

"Shit." Sasuke mumbled quietly and clicked the button on his radio. "We've been spotted, what now? Over."

"If they saw you we'll put our plan in action, but if they didn't use the invisibility jutsu. Suppress your chakra! Over." Naruto's voice answered.

"Roger that. Over and out!" He looked at Gai and both nodded making a quick hand sign and whispered 'invisibility jutsu'. After that they suppressed their chakra as much as they could. Karin's muscles relaxed.

"It's gone." She said, still feeling a bit uncomfortable.

"Good." Tobi replied "As I was saying it's way too dangerous to go for the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki alone, or even in a group of two."

Suddenly Gai had the urge to sneeze. "Uh, Sasuke-sama." He whispered only to receive a 'shush' from him. Oh, crap. And then it happened. "AH-AH-AHCHOO!"

'CHOO' CHOO' 'CHOO' (That was supposed to be the eco.). The Akatsuki members didn't seem to notice, Tenten had used a Sound Sealing Jutsu right at the last moment, which made Karin get worried again. Someone's definitely here. She thought.

"So, how do we get him?" Zetsu's white part asked.

"The wisest would be if we forgot Kyuubi and work with what we have." Tobi explained receiving a gasp from every Akatsuki member. "But that would be as good as nothing. Kyuubi is as strong as every other Bijuu together, maybe even stronger. So here's what we'll do: We have to go all 6 at the same time, to capture him."

"Uhm, is that the real plan, or are you making it up because of the little annoyances on the ceiling?" Suigetsu asked pointing up.

"Oh!" Tobi exclaimed throwing two Kunai at the two Kunoichi. "Nice going, Suigetsu. Didn't even notice them there before." Tenten got hit on her left shoulder by one of the them. Sakura ran over, carrying her teammate, to Sasuke and Gai, still under the invisibility jutsu.

"TENTEN!" Neji shouted

"What happened, Neji?" Naruto asked worriedly.

"Sasuke and Gai have the information we need, but the Akatsuki noticed Sakura and Tenten hiding above them and they hit Tenten with a Kunai. Naruto, please understand I have to go get her."

"Neji, all you have to do right now is trust Sakura's healing abilities. And besides, it was just a Kunai…" He said placing his hand on Neji's shoulder. He sighed going back to his position.

"Sasuke and Gai are fighting the Akatsuki"

"Lee!" Naruto talked into his radio.

"Let's show them our power of YOUTH!" A long silence… "Over."

"We'll go right…" Naruto said. "NOW" He ran toward the hide-out.

Sakura had healed Tenten's shoulder and was now hiding behind a boulder, since she was the only medic. In the meantime Sasuke was fighting Juugo and Suigetsu, Gai was keeping Zetsu and Kisame busy and Tenten was playing around with Karin. Tobi just remained seated and watched the fights. He seemed relaxed, until Naruto showed up that is, covered in orange-red chakra, which formed the "Cloak of the Fox" around his body.

(A/n: I'm not that good at writing fighting scenes...)

His eyes turned from deep blue to blood-red, his six whisker marks (three on each cheek, as you know) had expanded through his face and he grew fangs and claws, two tails whipping behind him. Everyone stared into his black, cat-like pupils. The Akatsuki, Hinata (she and Neji had gone after Naruto and Lee) and team Gai stared at him in awe. It was the first time they had seen him like that.

"What happened to Naruto?" Tenten asked, being the first to recover from the shock.

"Well, well, Akatsuki. It seems like our objective has come to us. This certainly saves us some time." Tobi said

"EVERYONE, GET AWAY FROM NARUTO!" Sasuke yelled to his teammates. They all joined him behind a boulder, where they were safe and could see the fight at the same time. In front of Naruto were six people in black cloaks with red clouds on it.

"Foolish boy," Kisame said "do you really think you can handle all six of us."

"Pain also had six bodies" Naruto answered in his Kyuubi voice scaring Lee and Tenten, who hadn't heard it before. "And I destroyed all of them without Kyuubi!" He yelled swinging his arm and letting out wind-chakra, making Karin fall back, while the others held their arms in front of their faces, protecting themselves from the furious wind. It cut through their flesh leaving them with bleeding flesh-wounds. Naruto went through hand signs and ended on Tiger.

"Kyuubi style" He yelled out in his own voice "Fire Fox Jutsu!" He blew fire out of his mouth not aiming at the enemies. It quickly turned into a twenty-foot tall fire fox, who looked around and found the red-headed girl on the ground.

It stomped on Karin who hadn't recovered from the wind blow yet. The fox turned to the remaining members, leaving her lifeless body there. It attacked them.

"Quick, Kisame! Use your water Jutsu!" Zetsu yelled. "FIRE BE NOT GOOOOOOOOOD!" Kisame quickly took a step forward and made hand-signs ending on Bird as he yelled: "TORI! Water Style; Water Dragon Jutsu!" A water dragon formed in the nearby river. It was just as big as the fox and smashed into the fire creature making both disappear.

As the Shark Akatsuki opened his eyes he was met by a Kyuubi-chakra charged fist, which hit him right on the face and made him fly back, smashing violently against the wall.

Naruto started walking to him, easily dodging the earth bullets Zetsu threw at him.

He grabbed Kisame by the collar with his left hand and formed a Rasengan in his right hand, but it wasn't the usual blue it used to be, this one was red. Naruto buried it in his chest.

"KYUUBI RASENGAN!" He yelled. Kisame cried in pain, as the wall behind him blew open.

"Damn it!" Tobi shouted. "Akatsuki, withdraw!" and so the remaining four members fled leaving the hideout and their dead comrades behind. Naruto's chakra slowly began returning to his body, as he fell to his knees panting heavily. Hinata immediately ran over to him.

"Naruto-kun!" She called. He turned to see her as he forced a smile. "Are you okay?" He nodded weakly trying to get up. Hinata instantly held him up as she noticed his legs weakening. Quickly, the rest of the team joined them.

"Naruto-kun, are you okay?" Tenten asked.

"Yeah, doing this is just very tiring." He replied. Hinata laid him on the ground, her legs serving as a pillow, while she gently stroke his hair.

"Hey." He turned to his team. "I want to tell Lee and Tenten myself." He snuggled deeper into Hinata's lap, yawned and fell asleep. She smiled at his innocent, sleeping face and kissed his forehead.

"Gai-sensei, would you mind carrying him to the spot we set camp on?" He shook his head and carried the blond back to the purple tent.

Sasuke was writing his report... As usual.

"Sakura, call the message bird."

"Hai!" she answered taking a small, simple whistle out. She blew into it and to everyone's surprise the sound that came out was the sound of some kind of animal growling and soon a bird arrived. Sasuke finished writing his report and sealed it, sending the bird away.

Inside the tent, Hinata held Naruto's hand between hers. She had been next to him the whole time, wanting to be the first one he sees. Sakura had checked him for wounds, finding nothing.

"He's just sleeping, give him some time to rest and he'll be in 100%." She had said comforting Hinata. She wanted to snuggle in next to him, but didn't do so, afraid of waking him up. His headband was taken off. If it wasn't for the whisker-marks people would think he was the 4th Hokage, with his long, blonde hair. She slowly stroke his locks, seeing how he would look with his hair in different positions. They all looked cute on him, she had concluded. After an hour, Naruto began talking in his sleep and shaking.

"No, fur-ball, don't you dare take over. I promised to protect my village." This caused the Hyuuga to panic. She unzipped the tent.

"Sakura! Come here!" Hinata called fighting back her tears. Immediately everyone entered the tent (A/n: yeah, it was big enough.) and heard Naruto talking to Kyuubi.

Meanwhile in Naruto's mind:

"Kid, calm down, I'm not trying to take over, I'm just healing you." Red chakra was all over the Naruto's mind.

"How can I trust you? You never were anything like innocent and never did this before."

"Look, I have to admit, you're not that bad off. I kind of got used to you and now I want to help you. If you want me to stop, fine. Suit yourself. I tried to help."

"Why would you change your mind all off a sudden?"

"I hate Akatsuki! Get it? You did a good job out there and my thoughts about you changed. What do you say we make a deal?"

"Go on…"

"I'll let you get full access to my power without me taking over. I'm through with that. I actually kinda like it here. Through these past few years this place has been filled up quite a lot, if you want I can just make you learn all the jutsu I know. It will just take one or two seconds and you'll know them."

"And what would you win with that? All those things are in my favor."

"With these powers you can get rid of Akatsuki."

"Hmm… I guess that's a pro for both of us. But will anything change?"

"No. I will still be here; you can still talk to me. The only difference is that you would know all my jutsu and can access to my full power without losing control."

"Okay, it's a deal then."

"Now, go. Your girlfriend needs you. When the process is done the only thing you'll feel that's out of the ordinary is more power."

"Fine… oh and Kyuubi?" The demon nodded. "Thank you." Then he disappeared.

Naruto slowly started opening his eyes. His left hand felt pleasantly warm. He looked down at it and saw it being held by two gentle hands. He smiled and started looking up to see what he thinks true beauty is.

"Hina-chan." He said squeezing one of her hands. Hinata threw herself on top of him and hugged him as tightly as possible.

"Naru-kun, you're awake!" He held her chin with his thumb and index-finger, made her look up at him and kissed her fiercely. Of course he didn't notice everyone else around. Tenten and Sakura both let out a happy shriek and smiled, Neji had a soft smirk and so did Sasuke (Sasuke's had signs of mock) and Lee and Gai both had a smile from ear to ear and held their hands out giving the couple thumbs up. And that's when Naruto noticed the rest of the team and let go of Hinata.

"We should start heading back." He said breaking the kiss "We found out Akatsuki's plans, the mission was a success. What do you say we head out now and get home in two days?" Everyone nodded and Lee opened his mouth to talk only to be interrupted by Tenten, who had noticed this.

"And Lee, Gai-sensei?" She asked sweetly. "NO RACING!" She yelled making both of them fall back. Everyone in the tent laughed.

"Let's move." Sasuke said. And so the team headed out.

Back in Konoha, at the village's highest tower, a certain blond Sannin smiled. She held Sasuke's report in her hand, Shizune standing by her side, also reading the document, smiling happily. Even Tonton seemed in a good mood.

"Just two days…" Tsunade said putting it inside her 'Mission Success Reports' file.

"Are you planning on… telling him?"

"Yes, it's about time he knew. Send an Anbu informing everyone in his age-group about Kyuubi."

Kid, the process is done. Naruto searched deep into his mind and saw all Kyuubi's memories and Jutsu: The fight with Yondaime, being sealed away, breaking out for the first time during the fight with Haku. It was all in there. What Naruto didn't know, is what was waiting for him back at home. (Drums: Dun-dun-dun-dun).
