Crouching behind a moss submerged gargoyle, Sirius snickered as James cast Wingardium Leviosa on an innocent bystander's belongings. The pitiable Slytherin boy was flailing his chubby arms everywhere in order to reclaim his books and quills. Then with a casual flick of James' wand, the items crashed onto the ground. The boy- who now had blotches of red across his neck- stooped to gather his things however he stumbled in the process. Sirius saw the corner of James' mouth twitch. Together they fled into the Gryffindor common room whilst simultaneously roaring with laughter.
Once inside they searched the room for Remus and Peter. James was the one who spotted them. They were sitting in the shadow of the grand fireplace. Sirius smirked. Remus' head was buried in a chunky book and Peter's head was angled in a way that indicated he was trying to read the book. Also, typically, Peter was chewing on his nails as if there was no tomorrow.
"Hey! Moony, Wormtail! Listen up…" James babbled on about what had just happened in exaggerated detail. To Sirius' amusement Peter provided the 'Ooohs' and the 'Aaahs' right on cue. Remus only seemed mildly interested in James' story. This didn't go unnoticed by him.
"What's up with you?" James queried whilst prodding Remus in the ribcage with his wand. This left a tiny, singed hole in his robes.
"Nothing," murmured Remus. He snapped his book shut and started to make his way to the boys' dormitory. Realising his intentions, Sirius dashed past him and obstructed his path.
"Spill the bean fleabag," Though the sentence was good-humoured, Sirius was deeply concerned about his friend.
"It's her…" said Remus whilst letting out a huge sigh. He seemed to be suppressing the urge to cry. From the corner of Sirius' eyes he could see Peter's mouth gaping slightly. James clicked his tongue.
"Not her again…" James said whilst faking a yawn.
"Who's her? Who's her?" demanded Peter. James rolled his eyes then indicated for Peter to sit down.
"Well…" James started.
Hey this is Raagavi. So yeah this is the first chapter. I hope you like it. This is my first try a FF so give me a break.
