I take a glance at you and feel my heart skip a beat,

I take a glance at you and rise to my feet.

I take a step towards you knowing where it could lead…

I take a step towards you watching you as you continue to read.

I take a breath and tap you slim shoulder pale as your plain white shirt.

I take a breath not knowing how this might turn out as I blurt

"Ryuzaki I need to get to our room I forgot to get something."

You look at me with those wide onyx eyes and nod slightly,

And we walk out with our chains clinking bound to our wrists tightly.

I struggle not to blush as you stand hunched near me placing a single finger between those lips of yours.

While your eyes scan me to my entire core.

We get to our room and you say coolly and bemusedly

"Light-kun what are we doing here? I know for a fact you didn't forget anything."

I turn away from those intent eyes and say tiredly

"Ryuzaki… I need to tell you something…"

My confidence hanging by a thread,

You sit and pat a spot next to you on our giant bed.

You nod as to tell me 'go on' and I take a deep breath…

"Light-kun, you're my friend and I know for a fact they care share secrets- even if the other might be a serial killer, and the other is a famous detective- we can talk."

I bite my lip feeling like a child caught with a hand in the cookie jar mid-theft.

I look him in the eyes,

And feel if I continue I might need to part with those eyes and say 'good bye'

I swallow my heart and announce

"I might break up with Misa. I just thought you should know, for the case…"

I fake a smile and sigh at my failed love pronounce.

You look at me and study me still not believing me.

You nod and can easily tell that I don't want to discuss the real topic as anyone can see

"Sorry but no can do until our case is finished. You'll just have to put up with it for a little long Light-kun my apologies."

I nod while you stand,

I look up and see you with a smile and extended hand.

I smile as well and take your pale hand in mine as you chuckle softly

"Now we should get back to work Mr. Lover boy Yagami."

I smile and look at you with eyes that plead

'please see that… I love you and you don't feel the same,

So I'll leave it be. Maybe after this we can be together and free… maybe baby.'
