Exploring his new emotions for Gavin proved challenging for Connor during the Kamski case. So, when he's given a second chance, he gladly takes it. The Hickory Killer is back, but this time his aim is completely different. Whatever his endgame is, he's certainly set his sights on Reed. Reed has his own issues to deal with though, as he struggles to deal with both old and new trauma. It seems like he can't catch a break.

Gavin seemed a little uncomfortable, so it only made sense for Nines to check on him. He couldnt help smirking as he saw what he'd done to himself.

It's Nines and Gavin's first Christmas together. Nines just hopes he bought the right gift.

Nines takes Gavin on their first date, but Gavin isn't sure things will go as planned.

Detroit is suffering under a heat wave and it seems the temperature is driving people crazy. Hank and Connor work a case of a serial killing with no discernible M/O other than the bloody mess at the crime scene). Matters become even more complicated when Cpt. Fowler brings Detective Delarosa from the Cleveland Metro PD onto the case, whose partner also was among the victims.

Gavin never celebrates Christmas. He usually works. He wants to work. He'd be working if his meddling partner hadn't insisted on having the day off.
