Chad's POV:
"Wow. It is SO beautiful out here. I can't believe I've never taken the time to just take this all in. The fresh ocean smell, the sounds of the waves crashing, the surrounding, the wind blowing, the water meeting the shore. And the colors! The beautiful green palm trees, the deep blue ocean, the soft tan sand. Just...amazing. I'm glad Sonny showed this to me." (Did I just admit that?)
"Speaking of...I wonder what happened to her. Maybe I should call her. No. I don't wanna seem desperate. (Wait...why would I seem desperate? Why am I worried about it? I mean we're just friends...hanging out...I think.) Well maybe I'll wait just to be safe. Yeah."
*5 Minutes Later*
"Okay...I'm starting to really wonder where she is. Now I'll call her."
(Whispered)
"Hello?"
"Sonny? Where are you?"
"I had to talk to Zora...I'll be up in a minute...just stay there!"
"I..uh.." Then she hung up before I could say anything. She sounded in a hurry. And nervous. Why would she be nervous and in a hurry?
Just then I heard a rustle in the pathway.
"WHO'S THERE!" I yelled while making karate moves with my hands.
"Chad..relax. It's just me, Sonny."
"Oh...haha..I knew that..."
"Yeah...sure ya did Chad." She said sarcastically.
Sonny's POV:
"Wow...Chad seemed actually freaked for a moment. I don't think anyone's ever seen Chad Dylan Cooper freaked. Oh my. Even I am reffering to him in 3rd person. He's contagious. Stupid contagious."
"So Sonny...what did Zora do?"
"She put some sea creature on Tawni's stomach causing her to wake up, freak out, and fly off her chair."
"HAHAHAHA! Ahem. I mean...that's very Zora-Like."
"It's ok...I laughed too." We both started laughing.
"Wow Chad...this is so...unlike you."
"What is?"
"This...a funny, nice, laughing, caring Chad."
"Ah...I have my moments. ;) " He said as he gave me a signature CDC smile.
Chad POV:
"Hey Chad...have you ever built a sandcastle?"
"Excuse me?"
"A sandcastle?"
"Haha, no. CDC does not get dirty in the sand."
"Well, there's a first time for everything. And Chad Dylan Cooper? You, my friend are about to build your first one."
"Oh yeah? Says you and what army?"
"Well, you are in a hidden location with me, with nothing else to do."
"I could always just walk back down to the beach..."
"...."
"But I don't want to. :) " (What did I just say!)
Sonny's POV:
"But I don't want to. :)" (WHAT DID HE JUST SAY!)
"Good! Then come over here. First you take this bucket."
"Okay."
"Now pack it full of sand."
"Done."
"Now just tilt it upside down really quick and hold it there for a second."
"...okay. I-Whoa! Thats cool!"
"Yeah! Now keep filling it and putting it in different places to build a mega castle."
*15 Minutes Later*
"DONE!" We both said at the same time.
"Mine's WAY better Monroe."
"In your dreams, Cooper!"
"Well what do you say to this?" Just then Chad took his foot and smashed my castle.
"*shocked* Chad! How could you! I worked so hard on it and you ju-...*starts crying*"
"Sonny...I-I...I'm sorry! I was just playing around and..."
Chad's POV:
"Wow...I really hurt her feelings." I wrapped my arms around her in a hug. She looked up at me and said, "Peace out SUCKA!" Then she jumped up and smashed my castle.
"Well played Monroe, well played."
"Did musical chairs teach you nothing?" She said as she flipped her beautiful black hair behind her shoulder. (Um...I meant...her big black hair...)
I sat down on the edge of the hill and dangled my feet over the edge. "You ever been surfing Sonny?"
"Actually, no. That's the one thing I haven't done."
Sonny's POV:
"Well, there's a first time for everything. " He said mockingly, winking at me.
"Okay Coop, let's go!"
We walked back down to the beach. I tripped over a beach ball and landed next to someone's feet. "OHMYGOSH I'M SO SORR-."
"Sonny. Chad."
There stood Tawni, and behind her was Nico, Grady, and Zora. "Uhhhhhh, I can explain!" I looked over at Chad, who was frozen in his footsteps.
