Voilà sept ans qu'Edward et Alphonse Elric ont retrouvé leurs corps respectifs. Depuis, ils ont reconstruit leur maison et voyagé. Alphonse a retrouvé May à Xing et coule des jours heureux. Quant à Edward, il garde du Jour Promis un goût amer : privé de son alchimie, il s'acharne à trouver une solution pour la retrouver au point d'en changer de temporalité.
