A/N: …moving on. Just saying my writing style changed in the latter parts of the chapter and I have a bad sense of designs and describing.
Summary: Moving from the place you are used to is hard, but for the sake of meeting new friends, it's for the better./"No prob'. And the name is Craig Harton, room 28, newcomer."/ "Un! He's Hayato Gokudera; we've been best friends since elementary school."/
Beta'd by the lovely CieloFiamme-san~ (though, I hope you aren't annoyed by my weird updating schedule and absurd blabbering in our PM exchange…)
And any mistakes in here are my fault. Thank you. :D
It was only for a minute or two after she had almost drifted to dreamland (without changing her attire into something more…suitable…for sleeping, mind you); when a knock woke her.
With a slight yawn (she had not slept properly last night due to…something important…yesterday), she fixed her clothes and hair a little, and opened the door.
CLICK
"Yes, can I help you?" Yanagi asked straight-forwardly; her mood was slightly soured because of the sudden interruption.
The man, who looked roughly between 20-30, gave her a quick nod.
"Are you Miss Yanagi Sawada?" she nodded.
"Here are your belongings, Miss Sawada." he pointed at the sight of piling boxes and a few suitcases, while giving her a piece of paper and pen.
"Just sign here, please." he said as she signed the piece of paper and gave it back to the man.
"Thank you sir." Yanagi smiled, as he gave her another quick nod before disappearing towards the elevator.
She looked at the boxes and suitcases before tying her hair into a small ponytail, and rolled up her sleeves above her elbows and ankles.
"Time to get to work."

I'm sorry if the plot and/or setting(s) are the same as yours. But this is purely from my own thoughts and for self-interest purposes only.
Lastly, enjoy.
Yanagi sighed at the last two piles of boxes she had to carry right now.
It was late, and she hadn't eaten anything since she had started carrying the boxes into her dorm.
Seriously! What was oka-san thinking!? It's not like I'm going need all of these things in the dorm! I'm not moving out of the house for that long, after all! She mentally groaned. It's already supper time; and I haven't even changed my clothes!
KNOCK
KNOCK
"Oh great, more stuff from oka-san. Just great." Yanagi groaned as she walked towards the door after removing some of the dust from her clothes.
"Yes, can I help yo—" "Do you need some help carrying those inside?"
"…uh, come again…?" Yanagi blinked at the sudden offer of help from the blond haired teen in front of her.
"Well, it's late. And almost dinner time, so I thought, 'why not help the newcomer carry her boxes to her room?'" the teen replied.
A small smile crept onto her face; "thank you, that would be very helpful."
"No prob'. And the name is Craig Harton, room 28, newcomer." Craig grinned as he carried a couple of boxes to her room.
"Yanagi Sawada," she replied.
He paused before looking at her; "…Sawada? Are you somehow related to the principal, Yanagi?"
Yanagi flinched slightly, "F–fortunately n–no; H–Harton-s–san." she answered, before sighing.
"T–this is t–the second t–time someone thinks l–like t–that…"
Feeling bad for the girl, he grinned apologetically. "Sorry, didn't know 'bout that, Yanagi."
"…but what's up with the "-san"? You know I don't have any "-san"s in my name right?" a small blush spread on her cheeks before stuttering. "S–sorry, i–it's a–a h–habit o–of m–mine t–to s–say t–that…"
"I–it's a–a s–suffix f–for c–calling p–people w–we d–don't k–know p–politely i–in m–my c–country…" as he nodded at the brief explanation.
"A–and i–it's o–okay…" she shook her head, "l–let's just finish this and get something to eat, Harton-san…"
Craig shrugged, putting the last box on the desk.
"Fine by me, but don't you want to change your clothes first? You're wearing the school's winter uniform—in the middle of Summer Break—and it's a bit smudged, too."

"…I'll…be waiting outside."
"R–right…" as the teen went outside; Yanagi immediately closed the door and began to change her clothes into something more casual. Like a dark shaded orange shirt and a pair of Levi's jeans.
Perfect. she thought as she re-tied her hair into a ponytail.
"Done?" Craig asked when she was out of the dorm; scanning her charm so it would lock it self automatically.
Yanagi nodded and Craig grinned.
"Well, let's go then."
"It's a good thing you got here before the new school year started; or else you might get a bit confused to catch up with the curriculum here." Craig said on their way to the canteen.
"R–really?" Yanagi asked, slightly worried at the thought but sighed in relief that her father enrolled her before the start of the new school year.
Thank you, otou-san.
Next time when she met her father, she would give him a nicely homemade Japanese dinner as her token of appreciation, she decided.
But then it clicked, Yanagi stopped her tracks for a moment and looked at the blond teen.
"Ano Harton-san; if you said we're in the middle of summer vacation; why are you here?" After a second, her mouth formed a big "O" and blushed a bright red before stuttering back. "I–i–i–it's n–n–no–not l–l–l–li–li–like I–I–I'm n–n–n–no–not g–g–g–g–gr–grate–grateful o–o–o–or a–a–a–any–th–th–thing!" Arms were waving around upwards because of the sudden panic attack.
Craig chuckled, "nah; it's okay." he grinned. "I'm here early because the Baseball club had to do some extra training before the baseball season this Autumn."
"W–w–we–we–well; g–g–go–good l–l–lu–luck f–f–for t–t–the g–g–ga–game, H–H–Har–Harton-s–s–san…" her waving arms returned to their original place; and her cheeks was still warm for a moment before the blond teen grinned back at her.
"Thanks for the encouragement, Yanagi." Making the said girl's face went into a darker shade of blush.
"Y–y–yo–you–you're w–w–we–wel–welcome H–H–Ha–Har–Harton-s–s–san…"
Kami-sama, this is so embarrassing! I need some distraction to—
"Oh! Hi again Sawada-san!" A familiar ravenet waved his hand toward Yanagi with a not-so-familiar scowling silveret behind him.
Thank Kami-sama, Yamamoto-san! she sighed internally. "G–good evening, Y–Yamamoto-san."
The blond eyed the two before turning his head toward the ravenet's direction.
"You two know each other, Takeshi?"
The said teen smiled care-freely, "well, somewhat like that. She helped me be on time for Hayato's tutoring earlier."
""H–Hayato"?" the brunette scrunched her eyebrows while Takeshi jerked his thumb over his left shoulder to the silveret behind him.
"Un! He's Hayato Gokudera; we've been best friends since elementary school." he grinned. "And he's a genius, too—oof!" while the scowling silveret—Hayato Gokudera—elbowed him on the gut.
"Who says you could introduce me so openly idiota!" The teen growled.
"And since when were we even best friends you baseball-idiot!" he hissed.
"I–itte..." the said baseball-idiot whimpered while rubbing his sore stomach. "You can surely land a few punches there, Hayato."
"Don't change the subject idiota!"
Yanagi blinked at the one-sided argument as Craig tapped her shoulder.
"Don't mind them Yanagi, it's a normal thing around here." he said. "Why don't we grab something to eat? It's getting late if you ask me."
She nodded and waved to Takeshi. "I–I'll be going now Yamamoto-san. S–see you later."
Takeshi waved back while grinning, "un! See you later too Sawada-san! Come on Hayato, let's eat! I'm starving!" As the ravenet slung his right arm to the silveret's shoulder, Hayato fumed.
"Get your arm off of me idiot!"
When the two was out of ear range, Yanagi eyed the canteen with wide eyes. It was huge! No that sounded wrong—what she meant was humongous! Yeah, that sounded a bit right—there were many chairs and tables—spread across the hall and was made by colourful plastics and steels—the floor was made of finest marble, while the walls were painted pure white, also a few hanging lamps here and there, and the architecture designs were modern-looking yet beautiful—coloured in red, pale brown, black, and yellow—the food was varied in different kind stalls—depend on where it came from, as in from Asia, or Europe, or Africa, or Australia; you know the rest—if the dorm's canteen was like this, what about the school's canteen? Maybe more…classical-looking?
After a minute of her gawking, Yanagi felt a tap on her shoulder; which was Craig, looking at her with an eyebrow raised at her.
"You okay Yanagi?" She blinked.
"W–what makes you think that I'm not, Harton-san?" the blond shrugged.
"Never mind; so what do you want to eat?" Yanagi looked thoughtfully at the menu in front of her and her eyes widened slightly at the prices.
It's certainly…not that expensive… I guess…
"U–uh, j–just spaghetti if you wouldn't mind, Harton-san." Craig nodded, "sure, just wait for a second 'kay?" and he left.
She sighed as she rubbed her temple "I think I'm getting a major headache after placing those boxes…"
"Do you need some aspirin?" Yanagi—having unintentionally said her thoughts out loud—blinked and looked at the source of the question.
"E–err, n–no th–thank y–you," she stuttered, "I–I'm f–fine..."
"Oh, if you say so," the asker shrugged, "just tell me if you need it." The figure left, making the girl blinked again.
"O–okay…"
She stayed silent as she looked around again, taking a mental note on how expensive-looking the canteen was—if the canteen was this luxurious, how's the whole school building looked like…she didn't want to know it just yet; better leave it a surprise…—and didn't notice a plate of spaghetti was placed in front of her by her dorm neighbor, Craig.
"…ello, Earth to Yanagi…" she snapped from her musings and blushed in embarrassment while thanking the blond for the food.
"H–how much is it, H–Harton-san?" the said teen only gave her a quizzical glance before grinning.
"My treat—as your welcoming gift, Yanagi," she blushed again and shook her head, "o–oh, I–I can't accept it like that, H–Harton-san…"
"I–it's not polite for me…" and now it was his turn to shook his head, "no, not a problem at all, Yanagi."
Yanagi only felt even guiltier as Craig started to eat his own portion of tacos, "…then how about this—as a compensation, you'll have to help me do my homework for a month—deal?"
I can live with that…can't I? she pondered a bit, but nodded in the end.
"Deal."
END
Note:
The difference between "END" and "THE END"
"END" is used for ending a chapter; while "THE END" meant for ending a story. Sorry if this confuses you.
"Yanagi" means "Willow (tree)", "slim"; while "Yagi" means "Goat" (Actually, I just noticed that…)
Remember – Hamaguri Academy is an international school—so there will be students who don't know about Japanese suffixes.
dreamheart6789: Why thank you, that's really kind of you. You can say that to Cielo-san, she's the one who helped me write those; and thank you for your review. :)
Guest: …perhaps, but just remember, this is all just hints—she'll only be paired with one guy since the beginning. But you can guess until it's revealed though. But anyway, thank you for reviewing. :D
CieloFiamme: Yes, technically; but mentally you're waay older than me. -,- And thank you for saying that, I already corrected it—also thank you for reviewing. :D
A/N: Uh right, you may want to throw your tomatoes at me for being such a lousy author; and gave you a weird, short, and absurd update after—I don't know, two or three or maybe more?—months of the first chapter, yet still made new stories. Well my only excuses are procrastinating, writer's block, and the invasion of plot-bunnies (no pun intended, lol). And in the other hand, I saw this fanfic that has the character's name "Yanagi" in it (and also in the KHR fandom), so you might want to give the author/ess a thank you to make me feel energized to write this. xD (But I know nobody cares about this fanfic, so never mind.) Any way, any kind of review would be lovely, thank you. :)
Have a nice day.
