Luna sat in a room as her friends, Ginny and Hermione, did her hair and make-up.
"Luna you look so beautiful." Ginny smiled as she finished putting on blush.
Hermione puts Luna's curly blond hair in an elegant knot with a few stubborn trendles framing her face, "You will be the envy of every girl in the room. Here, borrow my tiara."
"Thank you Ginny, Hermione." Luna smiled dreamily. She looked at her reflection in the mirror and saw herself in a beautiful, new white dress, her mother's old diamond necklace around her neck and her blue sapphire stud earrings.
"So let's see, something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue! You've got everything." Hermione grinned.
Luna looked up at her maid of honor and bridesmaid. She hugged them quickly, "Thank you both...so much."
"Hey now." Ginny said, pulling Luna to look at her face. "No crying, you'll ruin the make-up!" The girls chuckled.
A knock came, "Yes?" Ginny called out.
"It's me Harry! I need to talk to Luna for a second."
Hermione opened the door and found her green eyed best friend, "Come on in then."
"Thanks, Luna...wow, you look incredible!" Harry complemented.
Luna blushed, "Thank you Harry. So what's wrong?"
"Well everyone on the guest list is here. But there are empty seats left. Was there a mistake?"
Luna shook her head, "No there's no mistake, there should be twelve seats empty right?"
"Yeah actually, but why...?"
"They're for them." Luna looked up.
"The nargles?" Harry asked.
Luna giggled, "No silly, they're for my mother, Tonks, Remus, Mad-eye, Fred, your parents, Sirius, Professor Snape, Professor Dumbledore, Colin, and Cedric. Colin and Cedric had become very good friends with me, and I would like it if they and the others who had lost their lives to be in my wedding. I would think that they'd want to be here."
The three stared at their odd friend and smiled.
"Yeah...yeah they would." Harry grinned slightly, a tear trickling down his face.
"Come on now! It's time for you to get married! Before Neville faints from nervousness." Ginny joked, discreetly wiping away the tear from her eyes.
"I'll go and make sure that everyone's in their seats." Harry said running out of the room.
"And we'll go get Lavender and the other bridesmaids ready." Ginny and Hermione walked out of the room.
Luna sat down and looked up, "I'm getting married..." a tear escaped from her eyes.
"Luna?" a knock came from the door.
"Come in dad."
"You ready love?" Xenophilius asked, his bright yellow tux clashing with his white blonde hair.
"Yeah dad. I'm ready." she said, getting up.
"You look so much like her. She would be very happy for you Luna." he took her arm in his.
"I know dad...I know." she smiled up at him. The two walked towards the chapel. Luna, ready to take on the future, took a deep breath and started her journey to a long and happy life with the one she loves.
