So hey guys! I hope you all read the Author's Note before reading this chapter as it cleared up some things with the plot. As for the characters coming back from book 1, I need to know if you guys want them in or not because * SPOILER * most likely, starting in the next chapter I can/will incorporate them. Hope you guys like this chapter and please review.
Also I saw that there was a spike of visitors to chapter 11:Fork. So... do you guys want me to name the next chapter Spoon or something? Just kidding. But seriously, I am curious as to why there was a sudden spike.
Also I don't own LOK nor ATLA.

Chapter 4: The Rumble
The Earth Queen's POV:
I tapped my nails impatiently on the throne seat. I felt so accomplished to have brought back the stolen land from the United Republic. I had also recreated the throne room in Ba Sing Sa, in the former office of Raiko Jr. Overriding the legislature of the Earth Kingdom was easy as pie.
Why did they ever take away the monarchy system? Oh yeah. That stupid Avatar and her friends. I crumple up a paper in my hand, crushing it into a ball to release my anger. Every stinking Avatar has been a nuisance to the Royal Family. Aang took away our rightful land, Korra brought democracy. If this so-called one wrecks me, I'll be to sure to make sure she'll get one of a hell of an adventure and make sure she'll never she see light again.
I noticed myself breathing heavily and the crumpled piece of newspaper in my hand the size of a ping pong ball. I had hoped those Red Lotus dim wits had taken care of wiping out the Avatar, but considering that they were found in this low-laying city I'm pretty sure I can't trust them anymore. I was only able to catch the 5 in the city. However, I'm certain that there's more of them in the world. It's just that those stubborn fools won't give in. I'm make them fess up eventually though.
I called my assistant into my throne room to get updated on any news of intruders.
"Not really Your Majesty." He replied.
"Not really? What is that suppose to mean?!" He entwined his thumbs nervously and bit his lip as he looked from side to side.
"What is it?!" I yelled at him even louder. He trembled to the ground and bowed 3 times before me.
"You see, one of our guards found a sky bison with 4 kids in it that was covered in dirt and dressed in rags. Though Ms. Asami Sato cleared them up, saying that they were with her. One of the children were stated to be unconscious." He didn't look up and I could see the sweat drip from her forehead. I stroked my chin carefully. Ms. Sato didn't often get involved with politics, much less than low-life kids. Why would she suddenly help them?
"Did the guards say anything about the way Ms. Sato reacted to the kids?"
"No, ma'am. He just said that Ms. Sato came out of nowhere, claiming to be the one responsible for the children that literally came down from the sky." Hmm. Sky bisons usually are tied with the Air Nation. Their headquarters were here and I managed to take them down too. Was they getting reinforcements?
No... the children were in rags. Was that to cover them up?
"Send some soldiers to investigate her property and question Ms. Sato along with the children. Send another round of soldiers to Air Temple Island and see if you can pick out any new information from them about this new arrival."
"But, we are entering private property Your Majesty."
"It's my land now. Now do as told or say good bye to your family." I say sternly. He looked up, his eyes widening before backing away to the door, his upper body still in a bowing position.
"Now that's a good little servant. All I need to do now it to make sure no one gets in my way and I'm good."
Asami's POV:
For the rest of the day, I gave them a tour of my property. The teens seemed to get along with the servants quite well, making friends with them. I was glad to see that they treated the maids with respect. Many people, especially those in the higher ups tend to look down upon them.
Though, I didn't say the fact that Cheryl was the Avatar nor that Sean and Lily were the Fire Nation's royals. I wasn't entirely sure as to whether or not Sean and Lily wanted to be known for their titles. I knew that certain people didn't like to be in the shadow of royalty, they could be one of those as they didn't boast about their respected positions when I first met them.
Around 11am, we were just about to go inside after seeing everything when I saw Cheryl suddenly frown and stop just before entering the door. She turned around, eyed the gates and stomped her right foot. The rest of us noticed her abrupt stop and watched her closely.
"Soldiers. Earth Kingdom soldiers are coming." She simply said and turned to the rest of us. Silence and tension rose to the air. Why were soldiers approaching? I haven't set off anything usual for the government to look into me.
"Well?!" Sean shouted and looked to Akina.
"How far and how many?" I asked.
"They almost reached the second gate. They haven't gotten to the first yet. About 10 people." Her reply fast and serious.
"Why are they here?" Lily whimpered as she clung to Akina's arm.
"I don't know. But I suggest you guys leave and I'll cover for you. The troops are something not to mess with and haven't visited in the past. I don't see any good in this."
"I'm not leaving anyone behind." Said Cheryl, her tone hard.
"You'll be risking your identity. If the Avatar was to be captured now, it will do the world no good. You must leave NOW. There's no time." I retorted. "If you won't leave now on your own. I'll force you. It's for your own good." Cheryl narrowed her eyes before telling Akina to lead the others. She nodded her head to me, a sign of thanks.
"Be careful Asami. We'll come back for you." She said to me before taking off with the rest of Team Avatar.
Next, I called over all of the servants, telling them not to speak of Cheryl and her friends' presence in this mansion if they get questioned by the troops. They agreed, not inquiring me as to why. I was grateful for their cooperation and promised to give tips for their reliance.
By the time the troops reached my first gate, I had a cover story ready, my servants and butlers scattered throughout my property once more. Just as Cheryl said, a group of men in Earth Kingdom uniform had arrived shortly
A man with 2 strips on her uniform, most likely a corporal stepped up and greeted me. He was in his 20s, with skin and hair color similar to Bolin's, though his hair was flat. Despite the fact that he was taller than me, I clearly had a higher social ranking making the situation less imitating for me.
"Hello Ms. Sato. My name is Evan. Please to meet you." He stuck out his hand for me to shake. I shook it back. His grip firm and steady, a true officer.
"The same." I say back in an equally polite tone.
"Tell me," he gestured to my place, "According to some patrols, you have had visitors today. Is that true?" Finding no good in lying fully, I decided to tell a truthful answer.
"Yes indeed. Why does that have any business with your good men?" I say, trying not to be too rude. The atmosphere seemed to tense up a bit, but I stood my ground.
"Now tell me, who were these … acquaintances ... of yours that came to visit you?" He said slyly.
"They were my niece and nephew along with their friends." He narrowed his eyes.
"Were they, eh? Are they here now with you?"
"No, they just left."
"On sky bison?"
"No. And why are you so interested, these are my personal family affairs. You have no right to ask." I say back harshly. He backed away a bit from my comeback. A dark feeling seemed to be emitted by them.
"My my, Ms. Sato you are getting awfully rough today. Is there something on your mind that's bothering you?" I could tell that he was baiting me. Though why was he able to … ?
"The Earth Queen had requested to see through your little area," he answered, "She's also a bit curious about those kids of yours. Can you call them back for a tiny interview?" I crossed my arms.
"I don't think their parents will allow it."
"It's the Earth Queen's command, they will have to." I could tell that I was slowly losing my grip of the situation. I crossed my fingers behind my back, hopefully Cheryl had escaped in time and far away from here.
"We'll just take a look around this place if you don't mind." He smirked as he walked past me with his men knowing that I had no power to stop them. This was Earth Kingdom territory now. My heart beat quickened when I saw them question the maids. I felt so powerless. Spirits, please protect Cheryl's gang. After walking around the place and questioning everyone, I felt Evan's cold stare upon me. He walked up to me with a little written notebook in his hand and a ballpoint pen in the other.
"Say, miss Sato. Can you tell us anymore about your visitors today?"
"Why should I?" I said back in a rough tone.
"Fine." He shrugged, turned away for a sec and suddenly turned around, before I knew it, there were cuffs on my right hand. He grinned evilly.
"What did I ever do?"
"You're under arrest for lying during an investigation."
"You have no proof."
"I'm a living lie detector along with the men that came with me. My information is gold to the Queen."
"The people have the right to trial."
"I'm sorry, but this isn't the United Republic Nations anymore. You're going straight to jail and being furthered interviewed." He said wickedly.
I saw from the corner of my eye that my servants were hand cuffed too. I knew that I wouldn't crack, but I wasn't so sure about my servants. They didn't know as much, but that didn't mean they couldn't have overheard anything. Plus, anyone these days could be tempted by money these days. I looked back one more time at my mansion before being taken away with my servants.
To my left, I saw one of the men whisper something into Evan's ear.
"You sure?" Evan replied. The soldier nodded a yes. Evan eyed me, which just made my heart drop. Had they found a clue to the kids?
Lily's POV:
"You'll be risking your identity. If the Avatar was to be captured now, it will do the world no good. You must leave NOW. There's no time." Asami countered. "If you won't leave now on your own. I'll force you. It's for your own good." I saw Cheryl narrow her eyes at her before she told Akina to get us out of here. Akina had brought us to other end of the property, I looked back seeing Cheryl run just behind us.
"What's the plan?" My brother murmured out loud only for us to hear. I could see Cheryl trying to hatch up one in her head.
"Get around me." She said quickly. We did as told, though confused. Cheryl moved her hands in a circular movement and I felt ourselves fall ,the sunlight above us gone and than reappeared out of nowhere. This time there were pine trees surrounding us.
"Pretty!" I said. My brother cast a 'no no' to me. I lowered my head and stared at the dark dirt ground, slightly guilty for not being of any help. I felt someone tug my sleeve and the rustling noise of running. I looked back up, finding Akina pulling me to catch up with the others who were jogging in a certain direction to my right.
I picked up the pace, not knowing where we were going, just trusting in my friends. It was hard dodging the huge pine trees. Lucky for us, they don't shed as much and have lots of leaves to block our way. They seemed to be the only trees in the area. I didn't know how long we ran, but it felt like forever. I honestly felt like I was going to get lost had not we stayed together in a group. I felt so small in the endless forest, wanting to clip myself onto Cheryl or Akina for mental support. But as a Fire Nation Princess I was taught not to rely on others most of the time, and I didn't want to drag anyone down, being that I was the slowest.
My legs ached and I stopped a second, closing my eyes trying to catch my breath. Suddenly I felt myself get lifted and I found myself piggy backing on my older brother. He was sweating too. The others had glanced at us worriedly.
"Sorry." I said softly into his ear. I felt like a burden to the group even though I was the youngest. Sean simply nodded his head, concentrating on walking properly. We suddenly stopped abruptly, Cheryl who I think was leading us, was surveying the area around us. I could see snowy mountains up ahead but they were quite far away.
I nudged my brother, signaling to put me down. After looking around, Cheryl guided us through the forest as if she knew it like the back of her hand. We didn't say anything as we were still a bit tired from all the running and she seemed to know the most about the area.
Eventually, I saw Cheryl's face lighten up and she gestured for us excitedly to catch up. When she pushed away some branches, we found a beautiful clearing with a shimmering lake, and medium-sized wooden cabin. The lake was 4 times bigger in proportion than the cabin. Smooth stones bordered the edge of the lake, and all different sorts of fish populated it along with tons of sea plants.
Cheryl examined the area around us before approaching the wooden cabin. Some metal chains had locked it up, but with a flick of her finger, it broke. She swung the door opened and turned on some lights. Everything was covered by some white dust-coated sheets. Cheryl put her upper body into a meditative stance, wind blowing off of her and the dust clearing from the items. She began to pull the sheets off the items. The inside looked like any modern home, it had a flat screen TV, purple stylish couches, a white fluffy carpet, and sea blue curtains.
"Whoa. Who's place is this?" Bryant asked curiously.
"My summer cottage. My family used to come here yearly before things got busy." Cheryl replied sadly as she sat down on her couch. We looked at each other with concern.
"When has been the last time you went here?" Akina stated polity.
"A long time ago. Its been a couple of years." Akina went up to Cheryl and gave her a tiny hug. I joined in too.
"I'm fine guys." She says playfully, but her eyes said the opposite.
I know, a bit of a cliffhanger, but wasn't sure as to how to end this chapter. I wanted to end this here just so it briefly introduces this place, but not too much. That's why the ending was like 'BAMB!' Also, decided to have the characters from book 1 come back but not entirely sure on when within this plot line. I hope you guys liked this chapter as much as I did because I got a sudden burst of ideas, like different scenarios or how things play out and this was the one I thought would work out best. As for Asami, we are not fully abandoning what happens to her, so don't worry. Remember, Avatar always have great supporting characters even though the focus is on Team Avatar, especially the Avatar herself/himself. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please PM me or review. As of the elements part, as you may have realized, Cheryl has not mastered water nor the other elements fully. So I will try to include too, though the plot already has gotten quite complicated for me. SO many things to incorporate! Hope I remember. Book 2 is going to be so much bigger! So excited! Hopefully I will get more time to write. As for all the readers, love ya all. But I really do need the support and need to know how you feel about this fanfic and how I can improve. If you just love it, its ok to write that as a review. I just need to hear your voices so I can make the story even better than it is right now. I updated a little early this week to make up for my longer than usual wait, but it be even longer in the future. Just warning you guys. Please review.
