Not dead. Needed inspiration. Found it. Getting better with my- my- how do you put it? It's like when you start a new paragraph when somebody speaks? Yhea, I think so. Anyway, on with the story.

-(line break)-

Alex Pov

Matt whirled around the set console, flicking switches and occasionally checking the scanner. Arthur and Karen sat on the jump seat, whispering to each other and sometimes peeking over at me.

"Matt-" I spoke up from my seat on the steps.

"Yes Alex?" He spoke, continuing to flip switches.

"Well-" the Tardis jolted and River -the real River, Alex silently cheered- appeared on the steps above her. As soon as the shaking stopped, River crashed onto Alex and they tumbled to the floor together in a heap.

Rivers Pov (5 earth minutes ago)

When River heard the Doctor call her 'Alex' she groaned. Wrong universe. Again. It wasn't intentional. Not really. Sure, she popped by his universe to chat with him now and again, but she was trying to land on the Tardis this time, and things were off kilter.

"Sorry, Matt sweetie, bit busy. Wrong coordinates." She stood up, tapping coordinates into her vortex manipulator. "But-" she said. "Seeing as I'm here-" digging around in her bag. "Here you go. The Doctor's two most recent exploits. Should keep the whovians off your back." She said, as she finished typing somthing into her manipulator.

"River."

"Yes Matt?" She paused, looking up. Matt had the scripts, flipping through them.

"This show isn't about these kinds of exploits."

"I know." She grinned, before slapping her hand down on the manipulator and vanishing.

an:my personal head cannon on how they really get stories for Doctor Who.
