I'm very sorry it's been forever. But life happens. Lame, I know. I want to thank everyone who is putting up with me. It means a lot. I know this chapter is short, but the next one should be long to make up for it. Hope you all like it.

Okayy, well here goes nothing.

PREVIOUSLY: "Your father is part angel. He has many powers, that you got. Just believe in yourself."

"Jace I have no idea what you're talking about!"

The floating man is coming closer, I try to back up, and he continues. I end up near the edge of the roof.

"Just dig deep. Something will help protect you I swear." Jace says with hurt but determination in his voice. The man is coming closer and I have nowhere else to go. I put my hands up in front of me in some form of defense.

"Stop. Don't come any closer." I try to sound confident but from the smirk on his face I don't think he bought it.

"Ohh yeah. Why's that?" he sounds amused.

I'm not sure what happened but all of a sudden the floating man flies backwards and lands on the other side of the roof. He looks at me with a strange look; one filled with awe and jealously. I just stare at my out stretched hands like I have never seen them before.

Then Daniel is floating down next to me. "Clary. Clary! Can you hear me? Are you okay?"
He all but shouts at me. When I don't respond, he grabs my shoulders and shakes me gently. "Clary." He says again, but gently.

"Daniel. I…umm…I don't know what happened." I stammer and look at him for the first time. He looks concerned and worried. "Can we find everyone and go home. Now. Please?" I all but beg him.

"Where is the man Clary?" He asks as he looks around. I just point to where the man flew, he is still staring but he has taken a seat on the ledge. Daniel makes a noise that is a cross between a hiss and growl. He takes a protective stance in front of me as if the man was going to hurt me with just his looks. Just then Luce and Izzy come up the fire escape and Simon jumps on the roof. I have never been happier to see them.

Daniel turns to Luce; "We need to get her out of here, Now!" "On it." she replies. Luce turns to me, and the look on her face breaks my heart; its full of sorrow, pity, and anger. "Now Clary, whatever happens next, do not let go of me. Understood?" she asks more serious than I have ever heard her. All I can manage is a head nod. She turns and looks around, spots something and starts moving her hands like she is dragging something. Then I notice a shadow thing moving closer to her. She then picks it up and turns it into a door; knob and all.

"NO!" the strange man yells and stands up. He puts up his hands and the wind starts swirling around me. I'm being lifted off the ground. "GUYS!" I yell as loud as I can. Daniel grabs me as Izzy and Simon head towards the man; but they are lifted off the ground as well.

"Luce, any time now!" Izzy yells and throws something at the man. It hits his arm and he hisses and we all fall back to the roof; luckily Daniel catches me. Luce kisses Daniel, grabs my hand and pulls me into the shadow door thing.

We tumble through blackness, and its cold; like freezing. Then we land, hard, on a floor. I look around and see Hodge.

"What the hell?!" I scream. Everyone ignores me; nothing new there. "Luce. What happened?" He asks her. "I think it was him sir. I didn't get a good look, but the others are still there. Fighting him. I have no idea what happened, but she defended herself. But sir, I need to get back and help them." She said very fast and almost all in one breath.

"Yes. Very well. Go back and get them. But do not let him follow. Perhaps it would be a good time to visit your parents. But be safe my darlings. Off you go." He says as he gives her a hug. Then she did the weird thing with her hands and after a few seconds another door was there and she was threw it. Then it was just me and Hodge.

"Clary, would you like some tea?" He asks as he walks over to a tea set on the other side of the room. I'm trying really hard not to freak out but I'm not sure how well it's working. I slowly nod my head to his tea question.

He hands me a nice hot cup of tea as I take a seat. He takes a drink then looks up at me. "Clary. I need to know what happened. Can you tell me please?" He asks so kindly. I take a long sip, and as the tea heats my insides I slowly calm down and nod.

"Well, umm. We all went to this club, I was with Cam. We were dancing and stuff, when I thought I heard something. It happened several times, so I left and went for a walk outside. Well my walk turned into a run. And I literally ran into this guy. He started talking weird and had this creepy stare. SO I turned around and left. I quickly called Luce, since I got lost while running. So sounded a little worried and told me to get up on a roof so Daniel could find me. Well I did, but the guy I ran into was already at the top, and he was floating. I know it sounds crazy but it's true. Anyways, he started talking weird again so I tried to back up but he backed me up to the edge of the building. He kept on coming so I put my hands up and the next thing I knew, he flew backwards. Like as if a wind gust came out of no one where and pushed him. Then Daniel showed up then everyone else and now I'm here." when I finished I slump back in my chair.

"Well first off, are you okay? That seems like a very freighting experience." He said but I feel like he was just trying to be nice.

"I'm okay as much as I can be. I have no idea who he was or what he wants. And I have no idea what happened up on that roof." I'm trying to keep the attitude out of my voice.

Just then his office door opens and Jace flies in. He looks angry yet scared at the same time. He runs straight to me and kneels down in front of my chair. "Clary, I heard what happened. Are you okay? Do you want to go somewhere and talk?" He asks so softly. I can't help it, I put my hand on his cheek and he leans into it.

"I'm glad you're back. And that sounds nice. We have a lot to talk about actually." I slightly whisper to him. "Umm, Hodge. Can I go to my room now? I just want to lay down." I turn towards the older man. He chuckles and nods. "If you need anything, I'll be here. feel better Clary. Glad to see you're back Jace. I hope your trip was helpful."

"Thanks Hodge. It was." Jace says while he takes my hand and pulls me up. for a moment I'm mesmerized by his eyes and it's as if the world disappears. He pulls me with him out of the office and shuts the door, then brings me in for a huge hug. All I can do is hug him back as if my life depends on it.

"Jace. Umm." "No. not here." He cuts me off and starts to lead me down the hall.

We end up back in the greenhouse; and before I can say anything his lips are on mine and I completely melt into him.
