Okayy, well here goes nothing.
PREVIOUSLY: "Thanks Hodge. It was." Jace says while he takes my hand and pulls me up. for a moment I'm mesmerized by his eyes and it's as if the world disappears. He pulls me with him out of the office and shuts the door, then brings me in for a huge hug. All I can do is hug him back as if my life depends on it.
"Jace. Umm." "No. not here." He cuts me off and starts to lead me down the hall.
We end up back in the greenhouse; and before I can say anything his lips are on mine and I completely melt into him.
This kiss isn't anything like our last one. That one was hot and fast where as this one is slow and soft and full of love and concern. I pull him closer to me, and he responds by picking me up. We end up on the bench, me in his lap and neither one of us are letting go. I have no idea how long we are kissing each other but it's the best feeling.
When we finally stop, we are forehead to forehead. His eyes are closed but I'm taking in every detail of this moment. "How are you feeling, Clary?" he asks, still not looking at me.
I sit back a little, but still in his lap. "Umm. No idea, actually. Very confused and no one will answer anything." Now that he isn't kissing me, I can think a little better. "What the hell Jace! Where were you all week?" I get off his lap, and start pacing. While he sits there just staring. "Who was that guy? What is Code Run-in? Why did all my friends know what to do? What other powers do I have? Why did he fly backwards when I put my hands up like this?" As I put my hands back up, he and the bench tip over while a huge gust of wind goes through all the plants. I gasp and pull my hands to my mouth.
"Jace, shit. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to. I don't know what's happening. Jace?" I ask as panic filled me. His only response is laughter. "Jace! This is not funny! I'm freaking out." I all but yell.
He finally gets up and comes over to me, and grabs my hands. "Hey. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to laugh at you. Honest. Now, if you will sit down and calmly ask me questions, I'll answer them the best I can okay?" My only response is a sigh and an eye roll. He lets go of my hands and fixes the bench and pulls me over to it.
"Now, I'll answer everything I can, so just sit there and listen. Promise me you won't interrupt?"
"I guess. Now start talking."
"Okay. I'm sorry I missed your first week. I had to talk to some people about things, you can't know yet. And as soon as it is safe to tell you, I will. I promise. You are just going to have to trust me on this. That guy, was your father. And I'm very sorry you had to face him alone. That won't happen again. Code Run-In is a series of escape plans we, the good guys, created for whenever we run into fallen angels. Typically your father or mine. Your friends know how special you are, even if you can't remember. So they know what to do to keep you safe. You have so many other powers you have yet to discover. Such powers include your ability to control the elements. Like when you put your hands up like this." He puts his hands up and a small breeze passes over me. He puts his hands down and just stares at me. I open and close my mouth several times before I can even comprehend anything.
"What do you mean my friends know how special I am even if I can't remember?"
"Clary, you used to live in New York. You had friends." He gives me a look of sympathy.
"Are you saying, all my friends are my friends because they were my friends?"
"As confusing as that is, Yes. All of us can remember when we younger and you were here. We have missed you Clary." That statement is accompanied with a look of longing.
"I was here before? I know everyone? Why can't I remember but you guys can? What else can't I remember?"
"We don't know. We didn't realize you didn't remember until you looked lost and lonely on the first day. That's part of the reason why I left. I had to talk to Magnus. He said your memories should come back, the more you interact with us. Like we used to. It's just going to take time." He looked down at that part.
"If I have been here before, why did Cam introduce himself?"
"Cam and Arianna came last year. You didn't know them."
"Jace, none of this makes any sense." I put my head in my hands and tug at my hair a little. The pain helps me focus. After a few minutes, I look back up at him. "Jace, where are the others?"
"They went to visit Luce's family. After they evaded your father. They are leading him away from us. Clary, I'm sorry but a war is coming. And you are our secret weapon. We are going to train and learn every day. We will defeat our fathers." He said this with such certainty. I believed him.
I stayed in the greenhouse all night with Jace, just talking. He told me stories about him, our friends, of my time that I was here. I told him stories of my time away. We just got to know each other, again I guess.
After that night, we did what he said, and trained. Every day after class, we would train. Airy and Cam would sometimes help, although Jace was still weary of trusting them. Our other friends have yet to return, I grew worried, but Jace said they were fine.
Okayy, well first off I'm so very sorry to take forever. Some stuff happened that kept me away. Secondly, I'm sorry this chapter is like this. I don't really like it but I wanted to get this out there.
So, this story isn't going where I originally wanted. So, if anyone else would like to take over, change the story totally or keep it going the way it is, just PM me and Ill tell you what I originally wanted to happen and whether you incorporate those into your story awesome, if not ohh well but I would like to read it.
So, again I'm very sorry. But right now, I just cant continue with this. But thank you everyone, who liked it.
