(A/N: YAY! SURPRISES! *ahem* And, onto a more serious subject...

Like I said last chapter, i'm going to camp today to Wednesday, which shouldn't be a problem since a) I already wrote the chapter beforehand and b) it'll be up on Thursday anyway, so there's nothing to worry about. Wish me luck!)

Warning: Swearing.

...

Blindfolded, giggling and arms out in front of her face ridiculously, Emma was being led by Killian to... Somewhere.

Okay, maybe he hadn't told her where exactly they were going as a surprise, but hey, as much as she hated surprises, they were always good when they came to Killian. What could it be? Perhaps a gift? A riddle? Or maybe a day of fun at a party? Her excitement sparked in the late afternoon sunlight.

And then she felt a familiar wooden substance - no, object - in front of her, hands accidentally hitting it hard, making her yelp from pain. "Sorry!" Killian apologised. "Let me just.. ugh... open that door for you..." So it was a door. But Killian sounded like he was struggling in some way and she felt the urge to help or assist him in any way. "K-Killian? You okay?"

Footsteps could be heard coming towards her. "Yeah," Killian was heard wheezing tiredly. "I'm good. You can take off your blindfold."

Emma took it off carefully, as to not rip it. It was slightly hesitant. The blonde was halfway there, but she stopped and listened to the tense silence in what she assumed to be a room, the wind whistling and blowing leaves around outside. She was a bit worried of what she was about to see, yet was silent from excitement. Suffice to say, Killian must've been nervous too - Emma could feel him quietly shaking, so she reached for his hand to calm him down liked he'd always to her. Whatever this was, it was important to him and she was going to treat it with respect.

What she saw was something incredible.

Now, she wasn't a too big fan of art, but damn was Killian going to love it. The colours, shading, the beauty and realism and... everything. But it was something familiar to her. Her eyes suddenly widened and she looked at him with total shock and happiness. Her surprise o-shape of her mouth morphed into a ecstatic smile, briefly breaking their warm hand contact to break into a hug.

Though a bit stunned by yet another sudden moment, he was okay with it, grinning. "So you like it?"

"Love it!" A muffled cry could be heard from his blonde friend, most likely from his huge cotton jacket's hood. Killian sighed with satisfaction though a smirk grew on his face. "You better. I worked really hard on it, you know."

Emma hit his back before breaking away to look back at the art piece once more. "Whatever, you dork. That's the flower I gave you... I never expected you to make it look even better! And you're the worst and best friend ever! You never told me you could do art!" She rambled on, making him step back.

"Uhm, yeah," he shifted on one foot to another awkwardly. "When I was little, I used to draw artwork with Liam to get money. And for this I wanted you to be the first person to see this."

"And I'm so honoured! You have true talent, Killian!" She beamed. "I'm sending this to a museum right now to submit this! It deserves to be seen!" Before she could grab the art piece, Killian stepped out in front of her, arms out in from of him. He scratched his head nervously. "Are you sure that that's such a good idea, love? I-I mean, people might not exactly like it..."

"They will, swear!"

"You're funny."

Emma fumed, try to jump to see the artwork. Damn Killian and his blocking skills. "The hell, man?! I'm going to submit this fucking flower if it's the last thing I do!"

This went on for a couple of minutes before he finally gave up on her. He sighed tiredly, sitting himself on the ground with irritation. "Whatever. I give up, you wench."Emma smiled triumphantly, reaching over to take it.

But before she could so much as touch it, Killian grabbed her leg, pulling her to the floor. Emma shrieked with horror as he began to tickle her everywhere, forcing her to giggle non-stop until it was painful. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, KILLIAN, S-STOP-!"

"THIS IS WHAT YOU GET, LASS!" Killian laughed menacingly. Emma felt tears in her eyes while she laughed. "Y-YOU- HAHAHAHAAHA MONSTER-!"

Killian, in that moment, was so caught up in tickling our poor blonde friend that he totally erased the though of her actually taking the artwork with her when she came over once more.

And what happened next for the future of it? Well, well, well, that's a story I'll save for later. But here's a hint. It all began with a single letter.

(A/N: If anybody noticed, yes, I changed the story photo to the 'drawing' Killian did. His looks similar to mine, though without a CS symbol. :P I never originally planned to have her give him a differently coloured rose, I remembered a story I once read that determined the romance and future of a love triangle based on the rose meanings. Cute. If you'd like to see the meanings of this rose, go to my DeviantArt artwork (it's the earlier posting of the rose), and in the description it will explain it fully. I'm honestly not used to drawing plants so please excuse if it's sorta crappy.)

And hang in for the next chapter of...
