"You're so lucky, love!" Gushed Killian enviously. "I never get to travel anymore. Like seriously, do you have to tick off everything on MY bucket list?!"

Emma laughed in reply, though it was kind of muffled in the call. It still made Killian smile. "Don't be so pouty. I'll tell you about it later." She joked. Her hand sat protectively on her suitcase handle. Around her was the comfortable and usual bustle and talk in the airport, the light of shops nearby a deep contrast. Strangely, not many seats were full quite yet in the waiting area. Emma checked her watch with meticulous eyes. 9:18 AM. The plane was coming at 9:30, giving her enough time to talk to Killian for a bit and perhaps get some pre-flight snacks.

Killian snorted. "Haha, very funny, love." He put on a melodramatic voice, hand on his head and everything. "Just get me a souvenir for every country you go to!"

"Which means about three." The blonde laughed.

"Whatever! Before I dieeee!"

"Shut up, you dork. I will, I will." They chuckled together, Killian's voice back to its natural, smooth tone. "Hopefully. You don't have to, though. I have a feeling you'll be busy doing... Whatever you're doing. Work? Relaxation? Actually, now that I think about it, you never told me where you were going! You just up and left, love!"

"Haha, yeah..." Emma laughed nervously. Though he couldn't see her, she still averted her vision, and Killian could tell, too. "Oi, Swan. What the bloody hell. You usually tell me about these kind of things."

Her hand tapped against her seat's hand-rail anxiously, mind begging for the time to pass quicker for her to get on the plane. She spoke hastily. "Uh-huh. Yeah."

"Is someone, someone bothering you? I can deal with them." At no response, he got up from his lounge chair at home. Licht, now in Killian's care, mewed confusedly while circling his legs. "You better tell me or I'll bloody well drive my ass to that damned airport!" And fuck was Emma relieved when her watch's hand finally stuck the half-hour point.

"Oopsy daisy, Killian!" She told him hurriedly, getting her stuff while purposefully muffling her voice into her scarf. Killian could hear the announcement for flight 201 go off, though still suspicious.

"Need to, uh - God, that's heavy! - go now! Bye bye now!"

"W-Wait-!" She was gone. Dammit.

...And he had a reason to - Emma never said such atrocities as oopsy daisy and bye bye. Did she seriously believe he believed that that was her nature to say such ridiculous words? And there was no way in hell that that call was dropped, too.

Oh, he was going to find out what the hell she was doing. He gently guided the little kitten into his cage, placing his fixed scarf onto his freezing skin, the scent he so loved on it.

At whatever extent it brought him to.

The door slammed shut behind him.
