"What do you mean this is normal? Poi!" Yuudachi called out as she dashed to the side to dodge incoming fire, and return it with her own gun.

"This is normal, we almost always encounter enemies when we're on expeditions!" Shimakaze yelled as she dodged an I-class' leaping attack and the Rensouhou on her shoulder fired off into the distance.

Yuudachi looked at Shimakaze for a moment then looked around to see that most of the I-class were destroyed, and the ones who weren't were in full retreat. "But, encountering Abyssal on an expedition is unheard of! It almost never happens!"

"Really, it happens to us often." Musashi said as she walked over and kicked the carcass of an I-class destroyer, causing it to flip over, showing its underside where a portion of steel was being held in its tiny claws. "It looks like these I-class were looking for resources as well."

"Should we chase them then? They might lead us to some more resources!" Wo said as she twirled her staff, the orb atop it glowing brightly, as if hoping for more action.

"Hmm, that is a good idea. Let us chase them down!" Musashi stated as she nodded to Wo, who took the nod as permission and summoned three fighters that quickly flew off into the distance, keeping the Abyssal in their sights.

"But, we're on an expedition. Shouldn't we avoid the enemy and focus on getting resources?" Yuudachi asked worryingly.

"Yes. But if they lead us to more resources, then we can really shock the Admiral. Let's go!" Shimakaze called as she sped off and followed Wo's aircraft.

Within seconds Musashi was following Shimakaze, and a moment later Wo and Yuudachi were as well. As they all followed the aircraft in the distance Yuudachi sped up a bit to catch up to Wo. "Um, does something feel off to you?"

Wo looked over to Yuudachi and tilted her head, causing her large headgear to bob slightly. "What do you mean?"

Yuudachi fiddled with her cannon for a moment, "Um, well, it's like . . . poi."

Wo looked at Yuudachi and then looked ahead, "Um, is this about Tenryuu?" Wo asked, her face growing a bit sad.

"Poi! N- no, not at all. I just meant, doesn't something feel off . . . . About the sea?"

Wo looked around at the ocean around them then looked back at Yuudachi, "Um, I'm not sure what you mean."

"Well, it's like . . . . . . . You're half abyssal basically right, Wo?"

Wo continued to look at Yuudachi with confusion covering her face. "Well, yeah I guess so, basically. But . . . . What does that have to do with the ocean?"

Yuudachi looked down at the water around her feet and sighed. "I just . . . . . . I don't remember when I was trying to help Tenryuu."

"You don't remember?"

"Not all of it, I only remember bits and pieces."

"Like what?"

"Rage, anger, and hatred mainly, I remember wanting to help Tenryuu and my first attacks on the enemy Ru-class flagship, but after that I don't remember a thing. Murakumo told me that I tore into the Ru-class with my bare hands, but I don't remember it. All I remember is those emotions and a eerie drone."

"Like some kind of underwater horn?" Wo suddenly asked.

Yuudachi stared at Wo. "You- you know what I'm meaning?"

Wo nodded. "After I killed a Wo-class before you came, I heard a strange droning sound and ended up dreaming and having horrible nightmares of me killing everyone afterword's."

"I haven't had dreams, but I've heard a drone like that!"

"But that . . . . what does that mean?" Wo asked, unsure where exactly their conversation was going.

"I- I don't know, but it has to mean something, poi!"

"Well yeah but-," Wo began to say, before the sudden sounds of cannon fire and explosions rocketed the water around them.

" What in the- where are they firing from? This Musashi thought those I-class were still further ahead!" Musashi yelled as she slowed down and looked around.

"They are! My fighters are still following them!" Wo called as she looked around then suddenly jumped to the side, "Ah, torpedoes!"

"Torpedoes, then that means-," Yuudachi said as she looked around, and found their owner. "Submarines! So, Yo and Ka classes' starboard side!"

Musashi and Shimakaze turned simultaneously to the submarines, "One, two, I see a dozen!" Shimakaze called as she launched two torpedoes toward them, creating massive blasts ahead.

Within seconds of sighting them everyone opened fire on the submarines, causing massive explosions of water and sound. Less than a minute later they all stopped firing and not a single submarine was visible.

"That . . . that was too easy!" Wo said calmly as she looked around and then suddenly looked up into the sky. "My fighters got shot down too. Crap."

Musashi looked to Wo and sighed. "So this was to stop us from following those remaining I-class? Interesting."

"Why is it interesting?" Yuudachi asked as she looked herself over for damage.

"Because it means something, or someone is leading them and they understand that if we found they're base it would be bad for them. Let's bring these resources back to the base. We can tell the Admiral when we return." Musashi stated as she picked up dozens of pieces of resources off waters surface.

Admiral Yin looked at the piles of resources that filled the factory and nodded. "I agree that where those I-class' went will have to be looked into, but let's deal with that later. We're doing construction first!"

All of the ship girls nodded and looked at the piles of resources for a moment, before Musashi stepped forward, "What ship are we trying to build then?

"I'm not sure, but let's try some random amounts. It has to work for something, and we have the excess resources for it."

"Um, is that really a good idea, Admiral? If it fails-," Shimakaze said, letting her words trail off as quickly as she spoke them.

Yin looked at Shimakaze and shrugged, "Sometimes I think it might be good to just try something not in the book. Let's all just grab some handfuls of resources and pile them up, we'll see what happens!"

Everyone in the room looked a little worried, but a second later Yuudachi ran over and grabbed some resources, dropping them in the middle of the floor away from the other piles. A second later Wo joined in, and then everyone else as well, within a matter of minutes the pile was a good three feet tall, and comprised of everything except Bauxite.

"Is that all of it?" Yin asked, ready to construct a new ship girl at any time.

"Just this last piece is-, Achoo!" Wo said with a sneeze as she dropped the last piece of steel onto the pile.

"Bless you. Poi." Yuudachi said happily as Wo stepped up beside her, wiping her nose with a Kleenex that Yuudachi handed her.

"Alright then, let's get with construction!" Yin said as he clapped his hands together, causing all of the resources to glow, and then flash into the form of a new ship girl.

The new ship girl was about the same height as Musashi and had long dark black hair that went down to her lower back. She wore long white pants that had bright blue stripes down the sides, and a long sleeved jacket that was the same color with a light blue shirt underneath it. Her equipment was all too familiar in its basic style, but instead of being black it was a deep silver with dark blue accents. She looked up at everyone in front of her and smiled, her deep blue eyes glimmering in the light, and her left eye, literally smouldering with blue fire as she greeted everyone. " Hybrid Class battleship Ru Reporting for duty, I hope to get along well with everyone!"

Authors note: And another chapter ya! I have now watched the first ( and second) episodes of the anime and I'm liking it greatly, (especially the way they equip their equipment) but I'm pissed off that the glutton is a semi main character. I know most people like Akagi but I personally don't care much or her, though I'm absolutely ecstatic that Yuudachi is in it, though I want to see her kai ni animated ( for hopefully obvious reasons.) besides Akagi being main the only thing im not liking about it is how overly powered it makes the carriers look, though it could be my dislike for Akagi ( why can't we get Jun'you!?), though I did like the hime's main gun (energy canon for the win!)

Forgetting about my Akagi hate I'm happy with this chapter and am looking forward to the next ones, as things will be becoming more serious for a bit, and some of my head cannon finally will see the light of day.

Again I hope everyone enjoys the chapter!
