Fairy's Shadow Chapter 1~

~My point of view~

I was sitting in a tree across from the entrance to the village that I used to call home. Reason why? It was destroyed while I was out walking through the forest surrounding it. It took me days upon days to bury the people I came to call friends and family. "Fuck..." I struggled to hold back my tears as I gripped the necklace that dangled around my neck. I felt something hit my neck and next thing I know my vision went black as I heard people laughing and saying something about a 'tower' and 'slave'. It was a few hours before I woke up feeling myself hit a cold stony floor. I felt something shake me and I heard a cute sounding voice, "Hey. Are you okay?" the unknown person asked. My eyes had to get adjusted to the light and I took notice of my surroundings, "Crap...my master would have my head if he found out I got ambushed..." I heard an old man laugh, "Was you apart of a guild kid?" I shook my head no, "I was raised in the forest for a few years before I went back to my village." I looked down when I said that as tears threatened to break old man looked at me, "My name's Rob...but you can call me jiji." He smiled as he said that. That caused me to smile a little, "How would you all like to be free?" The old man and kids in my cell looked at me, "We would...but how would you do that?" I smiled, "You'll see." The girl that was still holding me blushed a little, "My name's Erza. What's yours?" I looked down, "I never had a name...not even my master gave me a name." That caused Rob and the beautiful Erza to make a 'O' with their mouth before said scarlet haired girl said, "How about Shadow? Smiling at that, "I like that...but why?" She smiled with her eyes closed, "Because you seem like the person with that kind of name." I blushed, "That's a good reason." I pulled out a small necklace that looked like it was hand crafted before I put it around her neck.

~ Later that night~

I woke up and then I went to the wall and merged with the shadow what I didn't know was that Rob was watching and a small smile appeared on his face. I was merged with the shadow's and I explored the tower to get a good layout of the place before I went back to my cell and saw Erza curled up in a ball holding the necklace I gave her and crying. I walked to her and gave her my shirt before leaning against the wall and fell asleep.

~One week later or the night of escape~

I smiled and looked at Rob and whispered to him, 'Gramps...keep Erza safe...please...' I saw him nod before I went to the cage and lock picked it before saying, "Alright! Old man, get going!" I heard the magic guards come and growled before reaching into the shadow and pull out two daggers. One of them shouted, "Alright slaves, get the fuck back in your little room before we kill all of you!" I took a step then disappeared and then reappeared on the other side. "Shadow! Come on!" I looked back and saw Erza look frightened before I started making my way up to the top and I didn't notice Rob tell everyone move and pick up Erza and ran to the boats.

~Outside with Erza in her PoV~

We was already on the boat and I started to hit Grampa Rob and cry out, "Why...why did you leave him!?" He put his hand on my shoulder, "I didn't...he wanted to free us all and..." Before he finished his sentence the tower of heaven just seemed to be engulfed by a shadow before being pulled apart. We smiled as we watched the tower disappear. I looked towards Rob to see him holding what looked like a sheet of folded up paper then looked up at him,"It's for you Erza" I grabbed it then quickly unfolded it to see what it was. It was a note from Shadow. It read,

"Hey Erza live your dreams and don't forget to keep that necklace I gave you.

It was my mom's. She told me to give it to some one I cared about. So...I gave

it to you. We may have only known each other for a good week or so. But yeah...

you get where I'm going with this...right? Well...I heard you wanted to join Fairy Tail.

Do that and I'll join in a good two...three years... I want to see how strong you've gotten.

This isn't good bye...it's a see you later. Cause we will see each other again"

P.S. I had to write as fast as I could."

That brought a small smile to my face and I felt my face become hotter.

~No one's PoV~

Rob chuckled at Erza's face, "Someone's got a crush." She looked at the old man, "S-Shut up!" He smiled a little, "It's alright, you'll see him whenever he want's you to.
