Chapter 3! Just an FYI, I did this based off of memory, so I'm sorry if it's inaccurate.
Mira ran across the frozen ocean. She didn't stop until the terrain got really steep. She started walking and millions of thoughts were racing through her mind. Had her sister grown up that fast? Why did she want to marry someone so soon? Was she that naive? The wind was cold and she rubbed her shoulders. Then, she realized she didn't have to put on an act. Eagerly, she tore off her glove and tested her magic. Swirls of ice flew off of her hand and spiraled into the air. She unbuttoned her cape and let it fly through the air.
"Freedom!" she cried. She unleashed all the magic that she hid.
Then, Mira built a set of elegant stairs across a small ravine. She ran across it and built herself her own castle, where she could be free.
The ice castle formed easily and she stood in the center, admiring her handiwork. She glanced down and saw that her outfit didn't exactly coordinate with her new self. She yanked the golden crown from her hair and untied the bun. She brushed back her bangs and created an ice blue dress for herself. Satisfied, she stood on the balcony to admire the view.
Erza's horse galloped across the frozen ocean. Soon, they reached land, a snow covered mountain. Despite her horse's protests, she urged him forward.
"I-it's a bit c-cold..." Erza mumbled. She rubbed her shoulders and buried her face into the horse's mane. Her horse tossed his head and snorted.
"F-fine. St-stay here. I-i'll be b-back..." Erza replied. She slid off the saddle and forced her stiff legs to move through the wet snow. The cold metal blade of her sword tapped the thin fabric of her dress. She walked in a random direction and eventually saw a cabin with smoke coming out of the chimney. She reached the porch and tapped the sign.
"Elfman's Manly Post?" she softly said. She shrugged her bare shoulders and pushed open the door.
"Man! What can I help you with? We're having a manly sale!" A man with spiky white hair sat behind a desk. His small desk was cluttered with wooden carvings that promoted manliness.
"Hello, do you have anything for winter?" Erza asked.
Elfman, Erza assumed that was his name, pointed to a dusty corner of the room that had the sign, "Winter Department" over it. She went over and picked up the woolen skirt, blue turtleneck, black corset, and a magenta shawl and cap.
"Has anybody else been up here lately? A young woman, possibly with snow colored hair?" Erza hesitantly asked. She picked up a pair of black boots and tried it on. Perfect fit.
"No man has been here. Only you are manly enough!" he exclaimed.
The door burst open and someone with pink hair burst in. A white scarf was wrapped around his neck and snow swirled inside.
"Yo! I need fish, a pickaxe, and some rope!" he cried out. He glanced around the post and retrieved the items. He brought it over to Elfman and asked, "How much?"
Erza watched as Elfman named his price and the pink haired man disagreed. "What?! I don't have that kind of money!"
"It is a manly price!" was the answered.
"C'mon! I need it! How about a discount? An ice collector doesn't get much! Plus, I have to beat stupid Gray!"
"NO! BE A MAN AND PAY!"
"YOU WANNA FIGHT ABOUT IT?!"
"MAN!"
The two positioned themselves. With a battle cry, the shorter man hurled himself at the taller one. Elfman roared and threw him outside.
"MAN!"
"Jerk..." he muttered. "Sorry, Happy. No fish," he told his blue snow leopard. "That guy was a jerk! Hey, we can stay there!" A small snow covered shack stood in the distance and the duo happily ran over to it. Happy rammed the door with his head and trotted in. They lit a fire and made themselves comfortable.
Erza made a quick decision. An ice collector would know the mountains... She picked up the pickaxe, rope, and the frozen fish.
"I'll take these, too."
A short moment after, Erza found herself stumbling threw the deep snow. She clutched all the items in her hands and wrapped the shawl tighter around her shoulders.
"Walk," she commanded herself. She arrived in front of the door and knocked. Not waiting for an answer, she let herself in.
"Hey-" he exclaimed.
Not wanting to deal with trouble, Erza pointed her sword at him and said, "You will take me to the mountains."
"Aw! No way! I get nothing!" he complained. Despite his bold words, he still flinched. Over in the corner, a blue leopard growled in agreement.
Unfazed, she tossed a burlap sack at him. The items he tried to buy were inside.
"Happy!" he cried out. He tossed a fish to the leopard, who pounced on it and started eating it.
"Okay! We leave at dawn!" he happily said. He laid back down on a small stack of hay.
"May I have your name?" Erza asked.
"Natsu. 'Night," he yawned.
A couple of hours later, Erza and Natsu were awake. Currently, Natsu was packing some of his stuff. Meanwhile, Erza was pacing back and forth, waiting.
"Okay! I'm done! Hop on!" Natsu cried.
"Where?" the young woman asked. She didn't see a sleigh or sled anywhere...
"On Happy, of course!" Natsu said this like it was the most normal thing in the world.
"I don't think there's enough room."
"Eh, who cares? Now, hurry up!"
Hesitantly, she swung her leg over and clutched Happy's fur.
"Let's go!"
Happy ran north, while an unsuccessful attempt at conversation was happening between Natsu and Erza. As in, Erza was ranting and Natsu was tuning her out.
"... Marriage! After two seconds within meeting him, he declares a marriage! I tried to explain to Mira, but she wouldn't lis-" Natsu cut her off.
"Shh!" His sensitive ears had heard a familiar noise. He sniffed the icy air, looking for a corresponding scent. Then, he caught it.
"Happy, slow down..." he whispered.
"What's going on?" Erza asked, not as quietly.
At that cue, the wolves began their hunting formation and began to chase.
"HAHA! FIGHT ME YOU MUTTS!" Natsu wildly shouted. He swung a fist at a nearby wolf. Erza instinctively stabbed an attacking wolf with her sword. She smiled and hit more.
At the same time, Natsu had a lit a torch and swinging it around like a bat. "HAHAHA!" He lit the attackers on fire and soon, the entire pack was finished.
While he was celebrating, Erza had noticed an incoming ravine. "JUMP!"
Happy gracefully leaped across the gap. Erza hung on tight while Natsu ended up almost falling.
"AHHH!" Erza grabbed his wrist and yanked him onto the other end of the ravine.
The three fell into the snow. Erza quickly checked for injuries and forced everyone up.
"Hey, look!" Natsu pointed to an ice castle, several miles above them.
"Only Mira could create something like that," Erza thought to herself. "I'll go see."
"How're you gonna get up?" Natsu asked.
"Climb." She pulled herself up on a nearby ledge.
Happy growled and lead Natsu to a staircase. "Nice job, Happy!"
"Hey, Erza!"
"I'm climbing. Don't you dare try to stop me!" The redhead shot a death glare at him and he backed away.
"What took you so long?" Natsu asked. He and Happy were already at the top. Erza had just pulled herself up.
"How did you get here so fast?" she demanded.
"There were stairs. You told us not to stop you, so we didn't tell you," Natsu shrugged.
After a mental facepalm, she climbed up the stairs leading to the castle.
"Haha! I can beat that idiot Gray with this much ice!"
"Wait outside. I'll talk to Mira," she commanded.
"Aw! C'mon!" he complained.
"Stay outside. You too, Happy. I'll be back in five minutes."
Ignoring their complaints, she pushed open the icy door and set foot inside her sister's castle.
And Chapter 3's done!
