Hello All.
Thank you for all the reviews, I didn't expect such a response and it made my day! In response to some of the reviews I saw that they were asking the possiblity of ships. I hadn't really though of that. If anyone has any ideas your welcome to suggest some. I personally have no clue. :(
Thank you once again.
Enjoy!

"Come on. If we get a move on we'll be able to save them places."
Harry glanced at the red-head in front of him and nodded. He waved to Hermione and Ron's retreating backs as they left for the prefect's carriage. Sighing, he followed the youngest Weasley in their attempt to find a compartment. As they walked, Harry was conscious of all the stares that seemed to follow him. In the back of his mind he wondered what the thought of him now. Since the Daily Prophet's constant slander of him and Dumbledore the overall opinion of them both has gone down. Harry doesn't really care for the fame, but he does have to deal with, whether he likes it or not.
Continuing down the hallway, Harry and Ginny looked briefly into the compartments to see if any were empty, or nearly empty. The avoided the white haired man standing the doorway of one compartment. As they passed he heard snippets of a conversation. Something about Pharaohs, thieves and betrayal. It slowly slid into the back of his mind as Ginny ran into Neville.
"Hey Luna, do you mind if we sit with you?"
Ginny voice broke Harry out of his thoughts as he approached the compartment Ginny and Neville entered. In there sat a girl. Her long, blonde hair hung over her shoulders, and she was dressed… oddly. She had her wand tucked behind her ear, around her neck was a necklace of Butterbeer corks, her outfits was a mix of colours and styles and she was reading a magazine upside down. She must have agreed because Ginny and Neville were already sitting down. Harry joined them and sat across from Luna.
"Did you have a good summer, Luna?
"Oh yes. It was rather enjoyable. You're Harry Potter."
Luna turned her attention to him, appraising him once before smiling.
"I know. And this is Neville Longbottom."
"Hello Neville."
Ginny and Luna soon lapsed into a mindless chatter as Harry tuned them out. Staring out the window, he sighed. This past summer had been hellish and he wasn't looking forward to the school year. At least he wasn't with the Dursley's. Harry attention to the passing country faded momentarily when Ron and Hermione entered the compartment. Returning back the window, Harry tried to focus on something yet his mind kept wandering.
"Harry. Harry. HARRY!"
Hermione's yell made him jump slightly. He turned to see everyone staring at him. Sighing once again he responded.
"Yes, Hermione?"
"Have you been paying attention at all?"
"Not really."
Ron's sudden outburst of laughter caused a simile to appear on his face. He leaned against the window and watched as Luna smiled and Neville tried to control his snickers while Hermione just glared at her friends.
"What will we do with you, Harry?"
He just shrugged.
"So as I was saying. There are going to be new students this year."
"There are always new students, Hermione."
Hermione shushed him causing a few a more snickers from the group. She ran a hand through her bushy mane of hair and sighed.
"What I meant was that there are going to be transfers that will be in their fifth year. They are already of legal age but haven't had proper magical education. McGonagall was explaining to the prefects that we will welcome them and help them whenever needed, no matter what house they end up in."
Silence rang throughout the compartment as they all processed the news. As far as Harry knew, there had never been transfers before. What was Dumbledore thinking? Harry silently decided to accept these new students, just like he was, into the wizarding world.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. You'll never guess who was made prefect."
Ron's loud voice startled him but Harry recovered quickly.
"Who?"
"Me, Potter."
A snide, arrogant voice caused all six heads to turn to the door. There stood Draco Malfoy with his two goons Crabbe and Goyle. A vicious smirk upon his lips, his white blonde hair falling into his eyes, Malfoy hadn't changed.
"What are you doing here, Malfoy?"
"Watch your tone with me, Potter. I am a prefect now and can give you detention."
Harry's eyebrow rose in defiance.
"For what?"
Malfoy's glare hardened at Harry's voice. He had to put his arms up to stop Crabbe and Goyle from advancing toward him. A sneer appeared on his face.
"Oh, I don't know. Existing, maybe."
"That is not a valid reason for giving someone detention, Malfoy. And if you may have forgotten, Ron and I are prefects as well."
Draco turned to glare at Hermione before letting out a mighty huff before storming off with Crabbe and Goyle at his heels.
"He hasn't changed one bit."
Ron's voice echoed Harry's thoughts and apparently everyone else's. Hermione and Ginny nodded in agreement while Neville just looked scared. Luna looked up over the magazine to glance at everyone.
"You never know. I think this year will bring out something different in all of us."
Silence was the response. Luna nodded to herself before returning to her upside down magazine. Hermione and Neville looked thoughtful, Ron looked a little green from the thought of Malfoy. And Harry… he was lost in thoughts of what the future had in store for him and his friends.
