Time for a new chapter showing what the villians are up to and how the heroes are setting out for their mission, now as a team. Also, let's put in some character interactions; these are always fun.
Also, I just came back from a movie and guess what I found in one of the stores near the theater? The 3D Blu-Ray of "Big Hero 6"! So, glad we got it in here. Even if it would have been cheaper for me if it was released in the US (Seriously, Disney. What is up with that?). I now need to find an hour and half to watch it again with the 3D on.
But enough about that, enjoy the chapter!
The past few days have been very busy for Eggman and his new assistant. Both were not only making new robots in order for Yama to take his revenge over Big Hero 6, and for Eggman to finally get rid of Sonic after all this time, but they were also working on fixing the destroyed portal that was located in the newly reconstructed lab.
While repairing the portal, Eggman used earlier footage captured by the security cameras, documenting the process of building the device, as a reference for his new partner to understand, while also submitting his own notes from his experience with building universe and time travelling portals.
Eventually, the blown up remains became a new stand alone, big and round, teleportation portal. Eggman and Yama stood to look at their magnificent re-creation, the doctor ready to get it started and check out what lay beyond it now.
"So, what are you going to do with this portal?" Yama asked.
"If my theory is correct, and it's more than likely that it is correct, the most powerful robot in the entire universe is located beyond that portal." He said while pointing at the device, still not-functioning. "If I will find it, I can bring it here and we can use it to dispose our enemies and help us take over the world!"
Yama simply nodded throughout the explanation before joining Eggman in his evil laugh.
After a bit more of calculating was done, Eggman asked Yama to put the two emeralds which were in their possession in the slots made for them on the portal's sides.
Once that was done, Orbot was pressing a few buttons on the control panel's keyboard in order to activate the portal. "Everything is functional, Boss." He told Eggman, who sat in his Egg-Mobile, ready to head inside. "Ready to activate when you are ready."
"Activate it." He ordered.
Orbot obligate to his creator's command and activated the portal by pressing a big blue button on the control panel.
In the middle of the large metallic circle were now various blue lights.
"Ohh… It's so pretty!" Cubot said while looking at the now working portal.
"Alright, I'm going in. If you receive any negative readings, let me know so that I could get out of there in time." Eggman ordered before his Egg-Mobile rose into the air and started heading towards the glowing lights.
Eggman expected to arrive in a black void, like the last time he, apparently, was in this in-between universes place. However, it wasn't black at all. The place Eggman arrived at was purple and had a lot more of a shape to it than a simple black void. That place looked un-believable; with all the shapes and different shades of purple filling it, looking a lot like a different take on outer space, only without all the different planets and stars.
The doctor assumed that the reason to why the place wasn't a black void like he originally thought was, again, thanks to Sonic and his various friends beating the robot that once dominated this in-between area. But if the place itself has changed, was the robot that helped him back then still here?
Eggman piloted his old vehicle through the entire area, which seemed like it's not going to end at all. He kept flying and flying until something did catch his eye.
It was a robot, but not at all like the one that helped him the last time. This one, while also somewhat white, was rounder and had more of a body other than the other one, which looked more like a tentacle. As Eggman got closer to it, he also noticed that the robot had a broken armor on its lower part; a red armor to be more exact.
As he examined it more, the doctor came to realize by inspecting the armor that this robot was infect, the same one that's a part of Big Hero 6. "But, if it's fighting alongside them how is it…?" Eggman than noticed that the robot wasn't functional; probably meaning the robot fighting in the Super-Hero team was a replacement to this one.
With this realization, Eggman detached the grappling hook at the bottom of the Egg-Mobile and grabbed the un-operative robot.
Once Eggman came back through the portal, Orbot responded by closing down the portal with a sigh of relief. Yama was the first to approach the doctor, after he saw what was brought back from it.
"The robot helping you was the same one helping this runt?" He asked with slight anger in his tone of voice.
"No." Eggman replied as he jumped out of the Egg-Mobile. "But it appears that there are two of these robots helping out our enemies. If this one is the same as the one they have, and if we will upgrade it of course, we can have a weapon that will match what they have." Eggman said with an evil smile, which Yama also shared at the idea.
The two quickly got to work on upgrading this robot and figuring out how it works. After they finished taking the armor pieces off the robot, Yama noticed a certain circle positioned on the robot's chest area. Upon touching it, a hatch opened.
"Hey, Eggman. Come and see this." The large man called and the doctor had made his way to see what his quittance has found.
Eggman inspected the new hatch and noticed a small red chip inside of it. "Very interesting…" He whispered as he looked at the small disk.
"Care to share the information?" Yama asked.
"This robot is activated by moves and functions being programmed into its chip. It's the owner's job to decide what he programs inside the chip, and by the looks of it, it's handmade…" Eggman stopped talking as a plan suddenly formed in his mind. "It's time to send the robots after Sonic and these so called "Super-Heroes"."
"But, what about this robot we just found?"
"All in due time, Yama…" Eggman answered in a quit and confident voice. "All in due time…"
Tails and Hiro were both facing the holographic screen of Hiro's garage computer, making sure everything was ready and set to go. Hiro and the rest of his team got out of their suits as soon as they returned to the garage and were now in their regular cloths.
"Okay…" Hiro started to say while pressing on a few buttons on the keyboard before pushing his chair away and getting his scanner in his hands. "Arms up." He told Go-Go and Sonic, who applied to what he said as the young teen scanned them to his computer.
"Their states are up on the computer." Tails told Hiro once the data showed up on the screen.
Hiro returned to his computer and opened the file he had for designing Go-Go's suit. Tails and him then started modifying the suit's abilities to being able to match up to Sonic's speed.
While that was going on, Knuckles was chatting with Wasabi, Fred and Honey. "So, what does this Eggman actually want?" The tall girl asked.
"Taking over the world." Knuckles answered. "Typical villain; thinks he is better than everyone else."
"How many times have you guys stopped him?" Wasabi was the next one to ask.
The echidna sighed at the question. "Too many times to count. He tries anything, but he is just no match for us." He said the second part of the sentence with pride in his voice and a smirk on his face.
"What's the evilest plan he has ever pulled off?" Fred asked. An intrigued smile was on his face, caused by hearing stories from this talking animal from another universe, that is fighting this dangerous enemy.
"According to Sonic and Tails, he teamed up with a robot that controlled all of the three universes that exist throughout time and space in an attempt to stop the constant struggle between good and evil, and let evil just rule it all." Knuckles explained.
The three shared horrified looks at what they have just heard; even Fred was horrified by the plan.
"And to think he started out by simply kidnapping little animals and put them inside his robots." The echidna added, causing Honey to look sharply at him.
"He did WHAT!?"
"Put little animals inside of robots?"
The blonde girl felt an un-controllable wave of rage rush through her body before screaming "We have to stop this mad man! How dare he do this to poor helpless animals!?"
"Oh, he is not doing that anymore." Sonic's voice was heard, causing the attention to turn towards him being wire-connected by Tails into the computer. "Not as much as before anyway… Most of his new robots are pure metal."
"What are they doing to you?" Wasabi asked the hedgehog.
"Something sciencey that will help Go-Go reach higher speeds." Sonic answered.
"Actually…" Hiro started as he adjusted a few settings on his computer. "From what Tails and I gathered, we could only transfer your Spin-Dash to her costume. Running speed depends solely on her wheels, though we can increase it a little bit."
"Well, I better start with something." Go-Go said after hearing the information.
"Alright. Sonic, we need you to Spin-Dash in place." Tails instructed.
"Wouldn't it cut the wires you have plastered all over me?" Sonic asked.
"They're rubber. They could handle it." Hiro reassured him.
"If you say so…" Sonic warmed up his legs for a few seconds before he curled up into a ball form and started spinning in place.
Hiro and Tails made sure the computer was indeed getting the stats, and that they are being transferred to Go-Go's file. Hiro couldn't believe the amount of speed the hedgehog was capable of reaching; it almost surpassed light speed.
Sonic stopped spinning just as Tails told him they got what they needed. When the hedgehog uncurled, he found himself tangled in all the wires that were connected to him. "Well… can't say they didn't handle it." Sonic said as he realized the situation he was in. "I think I'm the one who couldn't handle them…"
The participants laughed at his words while Hiro pressed a few buttons on his keyboard in order to detach the wires from Sonic, causing the hedgehog to let out a small yelp once the wires were pulled away from him.
Then, a red luggage that lay in the garage started beeping and from it, the white round shape of Baymax inflated. Everyone looked at the robot which suddenly appeared in the lab, causing Hiro to giggle and whisper to his teammates "This is going to be good." To which they replied with more giggles.
Sonic, Tails and Knuckles were confused by the teens' reaction, and the confusion continued as Baymax made his way towards Sonic.
"Hello. I am Baymax, your personal health care companion." He introduced himself like every time he was activated.
"Yo…?" Sonic answered with confusion in his voice. "I know who you are, Baymax. No need for introductions."
"I was activated by a sound of distress and possible injury. What seems to be the problem?" Baymax asked the very confused hedgehog.
"Oh, you mean what I said when the wires were disconnected from me?" Sonic asked. "It's really nothing, just temporary pain. Thanks for cari…"
Before Sonic could finish his sentence, a screen appeared on Baymax's chest, displaying ratings from 1 until 10. "On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your pain?" The robot asked.
"Is nothing an option?" Sonic asked, getting a bit impatient with the robot's constant nagging.
"It is all right to cry." Baymax said as he proceeded to pick Sonic off the ground.
"What are you…? Whoa!" Sonic was suddenly held up by the robot.
"Crying is a natural response to pain."
Sonic had had enough of that robot taking care of him for no reason, and he also wasn't amused when Tails, Knuckles and the rest of Big Hero 6 were laughing because of his reaction to the care Baymax was giving him.
"Baymax, I'm really fine." The hedgehog claimed as he got out of Baymax's hold and backed away. "I appreciate the concern; but this has gone…"
"I will scan you for injuries." The robot interrupted him again.
"Before you do that, can you…?"
"Scan complete."
"…let me finish a sentence?" Sonic finished with a groan and an eye roll, causing the already laughing group to laugh even harder.
"You have sustained no injuries. However, you seem to feel annoyed because of being held against your will by something. Diagnoses: Short temper and impatience." Baymax concluded his therapy.
"Well, that was informative…" Sonic muttered at the laughing from his friends slowly dimmed down.
"You have been a good boy." Baymax told Sonic before handing him a lowly-pop. "Have a lowly-pop."
Sonic looked at the treat with a bit of suspicion, but he accepted it regardless.
"He gives lowly-pops?" Tails asked in amused surprise.
"Yep…" Hiro answered.
"This is the best robot ever!" The fox concluded.
"I cannot de-activate until you say you are satisfied with your care." Baymax suddenly informed.
"I'm satisfied with my care." Sonic said quickly, before the robot would come up with any other way to take care of him. When it was heard, Baymax went back into his luggage and deflated into it, turning himself off until he was needed again.
"That was something." Knuckles commented once the entire scene was over.
"Yeah…" Sonic said before turning to Hiro. "How come this robotic nurse is also a pretty qualified killing machine?" He asked.
"Not killing." Hiro pointed out. "His programming prevents him from hurting a human being."
"Unless someone removes his chip and then…"
Go-Go started to say before Hiro interrupted her. "It was in a moment of rage…"
"Okay, I get the picture." Sonic reassured before a fight broke down. "So, are we done with that experiment?"
"Yeah, pretty much. I just need to transfer it to Go-Go's suit. It should be ready for her to use by tomorrow." Hiro answered, much to the girl's delight.
"So, we should continue our search for the rest of the emeralds tomorrow." Knuckles said.
"But, we have classes tomorrow." Honey informed.
"We will start by ourselves and you could join in later, once you finish your classes." Tails offered, and everyone seemed to agree with him.
"Okay, we have a plan then…" Sonic said with a smirk. This adventure is about to get interesting.
I think I have heard of other FanFiction stories where the old Baymax comes back from the portal(I think one of the directors also said that his kids suggested the idea as a base for a sequel). I've never read any of them, but when I really thought about it, this idea seemed to work the best for what I had in mind. I don't want to spoil anything by explaining my choice, so more info on that once the time will come to disscuss it.
I had so much fun with the scene where Baymax takes care of Sonic. I thought about adding a moment where Sonic accidentally pops the vital Baymax is made of with his quills, but it became really complicated to write and explain, so I cut it out.
Hope you guys enjoyed! Leave a review if you got something to say!
