That's it! The final-final fight! Have fun!
"How's it going, Hiro?" Tails asked as he avoided another one of Egg-Max's rocket fists.
Baymax was constantly punching and kicking Egg-Max's chest while Hiro was trying to break the piece of armor covering it using his Micro-Bots. "We are working on it…" Hiro replied with heavy breathing.
Eggman quickly noticed that while Tails was flying around his robot's head and attempting to attack it, he was also distracting him from that pesky teen and his own robot. "Don't think I forgot about you, kid!" Eggman was pressing a few buttons and Egg-Max's attention was turned from Tails to Hiro and Baymax.
While Hiro was still trying to get the armor piece off, Baymax noticed the upcoming attack. "Oh no." That comment made Hiro look up to see Egg-Max's head turning in his direction. Egg-Max let out a big flame aimed at the boy and robot, and both quickly retreated and re-grouped with Tails in the sky. Soon, Egg-Max lifted his two hands up and shot Go-Go's discs at them, which they tried to avoid.
"How long on those emeralds, guys?" Hiro asked while holding unto Baymax's back as hard as he could.
"They are ready." Fred answered him.
Hiro informed Tails about the emeralds' status and the fox nodded before he quickly made a bi-line to the streets below. "Baymax, take us down." Hiro then commanded his robot, which obligated.
Once the team met-up back on the streets of San-Fransokyo, they all faced Egg-Max. "You did well with taking down my robots, but it doesn't matter!" Eggman told the heroes. "I still have the upper-hand, I will beat you now! You are all out of options!" He announced, felling like this time he had truly won the fight.
The citizens watching the events on TV started to panic because of Eggman's words; but they didn't know there was one more act to play.
Sonic shook his head, unimpressed with his enemy's attempt at being threatening. "Actually, I think we are now evenly matched." He said while holding the blue Chaos Emeralds in his hand.
"What!?" Eggman was shocked. "The emeralds!? But didn't we…?"
"We tried to tell you, Boss." Cubot said. "We didn't have enough time to destroy them completely so that Sonic won't be able to use them against us."
"You should be less hasty the next time we tell you to wait." Orbot added.
Sonic smirked at Eggman's miss plan and closed his eyes. The emeralds started to float in the air as they have surrounded both the hedgehog and Baymax, to Hiro's surprise.
"What's going on?" Hiro asked Sonic, a bit unsure about what was happening, but the hedgehog didn't reply.
Baymax was also scanning the emeralds in order to see if he could come up with an explanation to what was happening. Shortly after though, the black dots which represented his eyes closed. "Baymax?" Hiro asked as both the robot, which was still carrying the young teen on its back, and hedgehog started floating in the sky.
"Hiro?" Honey asked, not sure along with the rest of her group what is happening. For Tails and Kunckles however, this event was all too familliar.
The news crew which covered the fight was also focusing on getting this event on-camera and show it to all the people who were watching at their homes.
Then, Sonic's fur started to change colors from blue to a golden-yellow and his quills also pointed upwards. Baymax was also going through a color change, as the red parts of his armor turned golden-yellow as well while the blue part on his lower body had turned grayish-white. Complete with Sonic opening his eyes to reveal their change from green to red, both transformations were done.
Sonic, fully aware of what the transformation has done to him, seeing how he had pulled it off several times in the past; stretched his neck muscles in preparation for the rest of the battle. "Are you two ready?" He asked Hiro and Baymax.
"Uhh… Baymax, are you okay?" Hiro asked his robot companion, still having no idea what was going on.
"Functionality improved." The robot had stated. "One thousand present increase in power and moving speed."
"Wha…?" Hiro asked before Sonic raised his hand in order to stop him from questioning the situation anymore.
"It's something the emeralds do; take it from someone who's gone through this several times." Sonic smiled and Hiro nodded, though still unsure what was going on. "Okay, let's do this!" The hedgehog added before blasting up into the skies at super speed. Baymax followed the golden hedgehog with an even greater speed than he was capable of reaching before, causing Hiro to scream in surprise and a bit of fear.
"Wwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Hiro shouted as Baymax blasted into the sky, completely oblivious to the various cries of cheer which came from the watching crowd of people.
If it wasn't for his helmet covering his hair, the teen was sure it looked even more messy than usual after that fast flight. Both Baymax and Sonic were now hovering in front of Egg-Max, ready to end the fight. "You might have the emeralds' power as well, but it won't change a thing." Eggman said. "I will destroy you!"
Sonic giggled at the doctor's words before he whispered to Hiro; "He always says that."
"So, do we have a plan?" Hiro asked, still dazed from the blast off.
"You said the chip slot was in its chest, right?" The golden hedgehog asked and Hiro replied with a nod. "Then, we aim for the chest." Without any further warning, Sonic zoomed away.
"Your neurotransmitter levels have significantly elevated after I joined Sonic in flight." Baymax suddenly said. "My increased flying speed is helping in making me a better healthcare companion."
"Wait, what?" Hiro asked, slowly realizing what Baymax was about to do. Sure enough, the robot's speed went from none to exhilarating in less than a second, causing Hiro to scream again. "BAYMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA…!"
Hiro's scream slightly died down when they caught up with Sonic, who didn't seem to be bothered with the speed he was moving at. "Is this the speed you usually travel at?" Hiro asked, screaming as he was trying to adjust to the speed.
"I've gone faster…" Sonic replied with a friendly smirk before both saw Eggman starting to lunch his attacks at them. A large amount of bombs was thrown by Egg-Max in their direction, along with some Micro-Bots which came out of Egg-Max's hands.
"Aren't we going to slo…?" Hiro started to ask as he saw both attacks coming right at them. After a second though, he saw the bombs have exploded, along with the Micro-Bots, yet nothing happened to either him, Baymax or Sonic.
"I forgot to mention, Baymax is pretty much indestructible with the emeralds' power." Sonic suddenly mentioned. "Also a trait of the emeralds."
Hiro took a second to register that little feature before a smirk appeared on his face. "Come on, Buddy! Let's take down this egg!" Baymax obliged as he blasted straight towards Egg-Max's head, punched it and blasted even higher up than they already were.
After elevating to what he assumed was a good enough height, Hiro signaled Baymax to come down. "And… DIVE!" The robot made a complete one-eighty turn and started heading down with its right fist ready. "That's it, Baymax. Just keep that fist up at all times…" At just the right moment, Hiro sent his Micro-Bots to latch unto Egg-Max's head and used them to spin around the giant robot, gainning momentum, before letting Baymax punch right through Egg-Max's body, causing Eggman to stress.
"Ha-Ha! That was awesome!" The young genius shouted with glee.
"I know right!" Sonic responded as he spin-dashed in Egg-Max's direction himself. Once he was about to go through the chest, Egg-Max used his laser blades in order to stop Sonic. The hedgehog, however, grabbed the blade with his hands and impaled it through Egg-Max's chest. This caused the robot to start di-functioning, and to Eggman to enter panic mode.
Sonic flew back to where Hiro and Baymax were floating at. "Are you ready for one final attack?" He asked them, receiving a glowing nod as an answer from Hiro. "Then let's get that chip! Follow what I do."
Both Sonic and Baymax flew away a bit from the slowly crumbling robot before making a hard turn. They started flying with all of their speed towards Egg-Max. Both started also spinning in a drill like formation around each other, gainning speed and momentum, until they cut through Egg-Max's armor right where the chip slot was supposed to be. Once out from the other side, the robot froze for a few seconds before its armor started falling apart, its pieces falling down towards the street.
"Quickly, everyone!" Honey called as she saw the large pieces fall down, two balls already ready in her hands. Once everyone got near her, she threw the balls and the team was protected by a chemical shield.
After the pieces stopped falling, the large white and harmless form of Egg-Max slowly started to deflate until it was laying on the road with no air in it. Sonic, Hiro and Baymax landed near the large amount of vinyl and while the hedgehog and robot returned to their regular selves, Hiro went over to what was a few seconds ago Egg-Max… and in a sense, also Baymax.
The rest of the team also broke out of Honey's shield, and headed to where their friends were. Sonic was greeted by fist-bumps from both Tails and Knuckles while the members of Big Hero 6 approached Hiro, who was holding the white material in his hands.
"You know?" Hiro suddenly asked, causing everyone to look at him. "I should be sad that I had to do this to Tadashi's Baymax but… for some reason, I'm not…"
"Hiro." Baymax said as he approached the leader of the team. "If Tadashi were here, I am sure that he would have been proud of you." The robot said while putting his hand on Hiro's shoulder. "You help a lot of people, Hiro. Just like Tadashi wanted."
Hiro's eyes were full of tears at what his best friend told him, before he ran up to give Baymax a hug as a gratitude for the kind words, and for helping him figure out a lot of things. Shortly after, the rest of Big Hero 6 joined the group hug until a voice asked them "Is there a room for three more?" They looked in the direction of the voice to see Sonic, Tails and Knuckles looking at them with smiles.
Hiro giggled as the group pulled out of the hug. "I'm not sure… but I guess we have an opening for a favorite team to work with."
Knuckles shrugged at the complement. "I guess that will do…"
As if on cue for the celebrations, the citizens of San-Fransokyo came out of the buildings, which served as hiding places for them while the action took place, and started cheering for the defenders of the city who just saved their lives yet agin. One notable brunet woman rushed to give Hiro a bone-crushing hug. "Awww! My nephew is a HEROOOOOOO!" She screamed loudly while everyone chuckled at the embarrassing accordance.
The cheering was cut short though, once one of the armor pieces started moving a bit until Eggman came out of it, all burned and full of ashes, along-side Orbot and Cubot. "It's Eggman!" Tails declared, causing the doctor to snap out of his trance and run away from the area.
Go-Go quickly aimed a disc to his head, and when it hit his head, the evil scientist lose conciseness and fell to the ground. Orbot and Cubot looked question-ally at each other before they decided to just collapse to the floor and pretend they are un-conciseness as well.
"What are we going to do with him?" Wasabi asked.
"I have an idea…" Sonic answered.
Okay so we have one more chapter before this story comes to a close. Don't worry, we are not done yet.
The super fight was a blast to write, espacially Hiro's comments. Sonic is used to this by now, Baymax is a robot so he just opperates, Hiro is the only one experiencing this for the first time so it was fun making him react to moving that fast. Also, because Baymax is a robot, I believe the emeralds can power him up. Hey, they power up Mega Man, they can power up Baymax.
