Hello everyone! Sorry about the slightly late update. In celebration of the tenth chapter I will be writing from Eren's perspective. I hope the change up provides a new take on the story! Thanks for reading and here we go!

Disclaimer: I do not own either Naruto or Shingeki no Kyojin.

"Oi brats, wake up," yelled the Lance Corporal as he walked into the barrack.

The trainees groaned from a combination of sleepiness and headaches, caused from an over indulgence in alcohol, as they opened their eyes. They hurriedly stumbled to their feet, standing to salute Levi with fists clenched over their hearts.

"What are you doing?" asked the Corporal suspiciously.

"Saluting sir," I responded. Saluting to someone of higher status was a sign of respect and a common practice among the ranks of the military. It was strange that Levi would ask about such a regular activity.

"Not that," he said with irritation. He stared at Sasha who had been nudging something under a bed with her toe. Sasha looked guilty as she stopped fidgeting. Levi walked over to pick up the empty bottle. In the aftermath of last night no one had thought to pick up the evidence. Levi's eyes narrowed as he examined the bottle in disgust. "Where did you get this?"

No one replied as we stood, sweat gleaming on our brows. We should have been prepared for this. Of course it would be Levi who would come to wake us up as Mike was no longer in charge of our training. Mike might as well be a saint when compared to the Lance Corporal. Levi inspected the rest of the room with a grimace, at least I thought it was, it was hard discern from his normal expression. Sheets hung from bare mattresses. Blankets and pillows were tossed around the room and a couple had split during the night, spilling clouds of feathers across the floor. A small pile of vomit sat in one corner, giving the room an acrid odor.

Levi's face twitched slightly as he surveyed the damage. "Clean up this filth and meet me on the training field when you're done," he announced before stepping out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

We collapsed in relief. I thought it would be worse, much worse and I knew I wasn't alone in that assumption. "I guess we should probably start cleaning." I suggested as I got back up. Without question we all started tidying up the mess. Working diligently we quickly put the room back into a stable array. Finally it came down to a single corner, the one part of the room that no one wanted to clean.

"Whose is it?" Asked Connie, examining the pile of bile from a distance as if he could discern the owner of the mess from appearance alone. No one could answer with complete certainty. Many had thrown up, but most had successfully made it outside before emptying the contents of their stomachs. "I'll clean it," volunteered Naruto. He had a repulsed expression on his face as he approached the vomit. He had gloves pulled up past his elbows and cloth tied around his mouth and nose as he mopped it up with some rags. He quickly disposed of these with a sigh of relief. He was a brave man.

Looking around the room, I gave it my seal of approval. Only I had seen Levi's particularities when it came to cleaning. The room would have to spotless if it was to meet his expectations.

After this we changed out of our dirty clothes, taking quick baths before we met Levi on the training field. Most of us at least looked respectable. I wondered if anyone else felt as if their head was filled with cotton like I did. The sunlight caused me to squint as I tried to block out the harsh rays, another effect of too much alcohol I supposed. My stomach grumbled in regret as I thought about breakfast. I knew how poorly I felt and I didn't think I was the worse one off either.

Reiner held a hand to his head, with one eye opened as he looked around. Mikasa looked fine, but I don't think she had that much to drink. Naruto looked completely unaffected, causing a little pit of jealously to form in my stomach. Everyone else was left in various states of being hung over. I'd have to remind myself to never to listen to Sasha again, especially about celebrating if alcohol was involved.

My attention was quickly turned away from the thought as Levi dismounted. I was still surprised at his short stature, no matter how much time I had spent around him. "I hope you've succeeded in cleaning your barrack, I will be checking it regularly from now one. You will be receiving a punishment for your actions last night, but that will wait," he said in a straight forward manner, leaving no room for disagreement, not that there would have been any. "Erwin has decided that it has become critical for Eren to train in his titan form. My team will be assisting in the rest of your training for now on. From what I gathered from Mike's last report you still have much to learn if you are to stay alive and remain an asset for the Scouting Legion." As he spoke the rest of his team came out of the nearby foliage on horses. "Today there will be a focus on horseback riding. You will find this to be an important skill. Moving from horseback to 3D maneuver gear is necessary for many of our team maneuvers."

Levi's team came closer, holding the reins to horses of various sizes and colors. A brief introduction was held between our team and his. I already knew everyone of course. Petra greeted me with a smile and a small hug after she had dismounted. The noise of heavy hoof beats sounded through the clearing as a hooded horseman approached. Before the horse had fully stopped the rider jumped off, going into a tight roll before they sprung to their feet.

Levi didn't appear alarmed, just exasperated. "Hanji," he grumbled in greeting. Hanji removed her hood, a wide smile on her face. "I heard we were experimenting today! I didn't want to miss it."

"You wouldn't have. We still have other things to do before then."

"Oh good, I wouldn't miss the chance to see you harass the newbies for anything, except maybe titans."

Levi merely rolled his eyes in response. He assigned each of us to a horse, allowing us to grab a couple of sugar cubes to allow the horses to warm up to us. I was already acquainted with the horse he had assigned to me. The bay gelding snorted in response as I held my hand up for inspection. I smiled and stroked his long neck.

I looked over to see how the rest of the team was doing. It seemed like they had been accepted by their mounts. Sasha was ecstatically cooing over her sorrel bay mare. She snuck the horse some sugar cubes from her pockets, much to its appreciation. Reiner received a large black stallion, as appropriate to his height and build. Bertholt's liver chestnut stallion was tall and gangly, and appeared a little timid until he nervously held up a hand in introduction. Krista's filly was a light palomino, the same color as Armin's gelding. Ymir's chestnut mare looked as disinterested in what was happening as her rider. Jean's horse seemed friendly enough towards him as he neighed softly. To me it seemed as if the horse was greeting another horse, I guess we weren't the only ones who could see the resemblance. Marco's dapple gray mare seemed sweet tempered as she nuzzled his palm. Mikasa's pearl mare greeted her calmly. Connie looked nervously at his short blue roan gelding as he slowly approached the horse with a sugar cube, with some encouragement from Sasha. The gelding flicked his ears as he walked towards the boy, licking his hand and causing Connie to laugh. The only one who seemed to be having any trouble was Naruto.

He was looking at the horse curiously. The cremello stallion looked back with the same expression, his ears perked up. "Um Levi," he called towards the man. Levi huffed and walked over. "What is it?"

"You see I don't really need a horse…" he trailed off.

"What do you mean?"

"I can run fast enough on my own without a horse."

"You still need to learn how to ride. There may come a time when you won't be able to run. People will ask questions if they see you running at the same pace as a galloping horse."

"I suppose," he said in response before allowing the horse to sniff his hand. The horse snorted in response and nudged his pocket. Naruto laughed and handed the horse a sugar cube. Levi walked back to his horse and mounted.

"Mount your horse and walk around. I know you've each had experience in basic horsemanship but I want to make sure you treat your horse with proper respect."

I mounted my gelding with practiced ease. Everyone seemed to remember how to do this at least as they got on their respective mounts. Naruto, who I don't think had any prior practice, clambered up clumsily but managed a good seat before he allowed his horse to move. Once we were seated Levi allowed his mount to walk as he watched us handle our mounts, correcting the occasional mistake, though he looked satisfied with everyone's performance.

"Now we'll be moving at different gaits through the forest. We'll move on to more advanced strategies tomorrow as we have other work to do for the remainder of the day." He turned away and started his horse at a trot, heading towards a trail in the forest. Without hesitation the rest of us followed, with his team following at the end.

Sunlight streamed through gaps in the canopy as we rode through the trees. The air whipped our hair in frenzy, biting our cheeks as we pulled up the hoods to our cloaks. Birds and small animals scattered as we made our way through the forest, constantly changing pace as dictated by Levi. Everything went smoothly as we went down a diverging trail, stopping to eat a quick lunch before we continued. Levi galloped ahead, encouraging us to pick up our paces as well.

We eventually reached our destination with the sun at full strength as the afternoon rays temporarily blinded us. I blinked the light out of my eyes, looking around to see grins on most of my companion's faces. Everyone seemed much better now that we had done some training. It was amazing what a little exercise could do for a hangover.

We came to a stop and dismounted. We led our horses into to a stable, their hooves clattering on the cobblestone as they walked. We had arrived at the place where I had originally been sent to train. The run down house looked a little better than it had back then, as if someone had come to fix it up. Before we were done with horseback training we were forced to thoroughly muck out each stall and brush down our horses. My bay gave an appreciative neigh at the chance to sate itself with fresh hay and water. Once we were done Levi marched back outside and led us to a familiar well. To my surprise we went past the well before he stopped to turn around.

"Eren will now begin his training. I want the rest of you to go with Eld and Gunther for combat training. I want Naruto to stay here," he added in an afterthought.

Everyone was led away with Eld and Gunther as they went to practice hand to hand combat. Mikasa and Armin gave me a backward glance as they walked away. Naruto looked hesitant, as if he wasn't sure why he was to remain here.

"What do you want us to do?" asked Petra in a soft tone.

"You will need to get ready for any sign that things are not going as planned. I want you to help stop Eren if he loses control." Petra nodded, placing her small hands on her blades, knuckles turning white in anticipation.

"It's okay Petra, I'll be able to stop him by myself if he causes any trouble," boasted Oluo in his attempt to calm his teammate.

She rolled her eyes at him with a shake of her head, but a small smile appeared on her face before it quickly vanished.

"Why am I here then?" inquired Naruto with an incredulous look on his face.

"You are here to help and observe. I want you to move at any signs of trouble because you happen to be faster than a normal human. You also need to know what his turning into a titan will entail." Naruto nodded, a thoughtful expression appearing on his face.

"Anytime now Eren," commanded Levi, his hand on a blade.

"Yes I want to see it! It took you long enough!" Exclaimed Hanji with a manic gleam in her eyes as she impatiently waited for my transformation.

I gulped nervously before holding up my fist. I bit down hard, drawing blood. I could feel the hot liquid flow freely into my mouth as its metallic scent filled my nostrils. Nothing happened.

"What! What went wrong?" pouted Hanji.

"I'm not sure," I responded looking at my thumb, which was bleeding profusely. "I guess I don't really have a goal, is there anything specific you want me to do?"

"Use this, you can write something. Good enough?" questioned Levi with a petulant expression. He had dragged over a pole with the assistance of Oluo, Petra and Naruto, large enough for my titan form to grip. "I think so," I replied before trying again.

I bit down once more, causing smoke to billow around me. A streak of light went across the sky as I was encased with titan flesh. I opened my eyes to find small figures by my feet. Oluo and Petra has their hands fully grasped on their blades while Naruto's mouth was gaped open in surprise. Levi calmly looked up before gesturing towards the pole. I picked it up carefully, not wanting it to break.

I started to write but then something strange started to happen. My vision started to blur and images began to flow through my head. They were of…Naruto? They zoomed through my mind in a furious tide as I clenched the sides of my head. The others had to scramble out of the way as I dropped the pole I had been holding. The visions came faster and faster, intermingling with my senses, as if they were becoming my own.

"Shit" was all I heard before the memories slowed their mad rush. I saw a figure in what appeared to be a red cocoon on the ground, hands covering their head as they yelled in pain. It took me a moment to realize the person was Naruto. He removed a hand from his head, scrabbling to find his pocket. He yanked out a piece of paper in a clenched fist. With an effort he stuck it on his forehead, causing the fire to stop. He collapsed in a heap of exhaustion before he warily made it to his feet, yanking the paper away in the process. At this point I realized I had been cut free from my titan form. Hanji was holding me upright as she watched the scene with a slightly frightened but curious expression. I looked down and realized that I had retained my limbs this time around.

"Wha?" I started before I was shushed by Hanji. She watched Naruto intently, gauging for signs of danger. Sighing in relief she got to her feet, helping me to get mine as well. "That was interesting. A shame we weren't able to get anything done though."

"Do you know when to hold your tongue?" asked Levi in a vicious tone. He looked from Naruto and back to me. "What happened?" he asked in a more restrained voice.

"I don't know," I answered honestly. Naruto shook his head in surprise as well. It appeared he was as clueless as I was.

"Fine, we'll end training for today. Petra and Oluo, go get the others. We need to have a meeting," ordered the Lance Corporal. "Sir," was their only response as they ran to get the other members of our squad.

Levi led the way back to the house and into a conference room. Once everyone was gathered he leaned against a wall with an expectant expression. "Now would you care to tell us what the hell happened?" I looked towards Naruto as he looked back towards me. Naruto opened his mouth and began to talk.

(End)

There we go, another one down and more to come. If you care to answer I would like to ask if you liked the story from Eren's perspective or if you want it strictly from Naruto's? Either way doesn't matter, I just thought it might be interesting to mix it up a little. I could write from other characters as well but I would like to know from the audience before I attempt it. Also, if any of you have suggestions for future plot points I would welcome them. I do have a good idea of where the story is going but if there's anything you want to see I could incorporate it as well. You can PM me or leave it in a review if you have any input. Thanks for reading!
