[A/N] Woops, it's been a while, but here we go. I've been a wee bit busy, but hopefully I will get back into writing. I wanted to get a chapter up though so here it is!
The wedding was fast approaching and this meant that Kurt was busier than ever. Not only did he have to get Lara's dress perfect, but he was also making his own suit so that he could go as Blaine's plus one. That meant he often took his work home with him to finish. That meant he cherished every moment spent with Blaine and Harmony just a little bit more.
Soon, it was a week before the wedding and Lara's dress was done. She was coming in for her last fitting and it would be the first time she saw the thing complete. Kurt was beyond nervous, hoping she'd like it and wanting to impress his boyfriend's sister-in-law. Blaine came along with her and waited outside whilst Kurt bustled her into the changing room to put the dress on her. When she stepped out, Blaine stood, grinning at the sight before him.
"Wow," Blaine sighed as Lara stood upon a platform and twirled for him.
"You like?" Lara asked, her eyes on the mirror where she could see herself.
"Like? I love! You look beautiful, and I know Cooper will think so too," Blaine said.
"Thank Kurt," Lara chuckled. "He's the one who made me look this way."
"Nope, the dress is just an accessory. The beauty is all you," Kurt disagreed whilst circling her to survey any adjustments that may be needed. "But I think we have a perfect fit. Is there anything you want me to change?"
"No way, it's perfect," she insisted. "Thank you so much, Kurt."
Soon, Lara was back in her normal clothes and hugging Kurt tightly, before taking her dress to the car. This left Kurt alone with Blaine.
"You did a really good job," Blaine said, taking hold of Kurt's hand and lacing their fingers together. "I can't wait to see what you're going to be wearing."
"That is a surprise," Kurt whispered, quickly pressing a chaste kiss to Blaine's lips.
"Did you want to stay at mine the night before the wedding?" Blaine asked, watching Kurt as he let go of his hand to pack up for the night.
He froze for a moment and looked over at Blaine, before continuing his tidying. "What you mean like you want to...?" Kurt trailed off, waiting for Blaine to fill in the gap.
"Oh. Oh! No, that's not what I meant. I just meant for convenience. I would sleep on the couch," Blaine assured him.
"Blaine, I can't make you sleep on the couch," Kurt replied.
"I don't mind, honestly. Anything to spend more time with you. Plus I'll need someone to look after me after Coop's bachelor party."
Kurt looked up from under his lashes at his boyfriend, a smile on his face that could only be described as dopey. "You are just too sweet. And okay I will stay at yours. But I doubt I will be needing to look after you after Cooper's bachelor party, Mr Teetotal. If anything you'll need to look after me."
"I can do that," Blaine grinned.
The night of Cooper's bachelor party, they went out to a club. Cooper had insisted that he didn't want anything done for him, just a night out with his brother and a couple of his friends. He insisted that Blaine bring Kurt along, saying that if Kurt was going to meet him anytime soon, he may as well meet him on a night when he gets drunk to get the embarrassing part out of the way.
"Blainers!" Cooper greeted when they showed up at their parents house to collect him. Cooper pulled his brother into a tight hug, which Blaine could barely wriggle out of.
"Coop, you're squashing me!" Blaine complained, but his brother just continued to squeeze him.
"And you must be Kurt," Cooper cried as he noticed Kurt walking around from the passenger side of the car. He let go of Blaine to pull Kurt into a similar hug, perhaps not as tight as the one Blaine had received. "I've heard all about you; Blaine and Harmony both go on and on about you." Blaine groaned and hit his brother with the back of his hand.
"Coop, be nice," Blaine instructed.
"What? I'm just hugging your boyfriend and telling him what I know. Don't be such a spoil sport, Blainers," Cooper insisted.
"I've heard a lot about you too, Cooper," Kurt piped up with a grin.
"Right, we'd best get going. We're meeting with Tim and Chris as the club in half hour," Cooper informed them, opening to car door and jumping in the back so that Kurt and Blaine could take their previous seats. Tim and Chris were two of Cooper's best friends, who had flown out to Ohio to attend the wedding. Originally, Cooper wasn't going to ask them to attend his bachelor party, but Blaine insisted that he have a fun night with his friends and not just his brother.
Cooper watched Kurt and Blaine as they drove to the club. They both talked the whole way, to each other and Cooper, but Cooper couldn't help but feel like he was interrupting something whenever he spoke. He watched the way they'd often glance at each other, the way their hands would brush over the control centre. Their relationship reminded him of his own relationship with Lara. He knew that his brother had found love, even if his brother didn't know it yet.
A few hours later found Kurt and Blaine dancing closely in 'Club Red'. The music was loud, the dance floor dark, and no one really seemed to be paying them any attention. Kurt had been drinking and was already tipsy, but Blaine couldn't help but think he was an adorable drunk.
"You know," Kurt yelled into his ear over the music, "you're have like really cute hair."
"Thank you," Blaine chuckled. "So do you."
"No! You're hair is like reeeeeally cute. So curly," the taller man slurred.
Blaine grinned at his boyfriend. "Come on, let's go see where Coop is!"
Blaine pulled Kurt by the hand through the crowd and found Cooper at the bar with his friends.
"She's the prettiest woman I've ever seen," Cooper was saying. "She agreed to marry me, did you know?" Blaine could tell that his brother was also drunk. Both of his friends were sober and holding him up to stop him from falling. "I'm such a goof I can't believe she agreed to marry me. I'm gonna have the most beautiful wife in the world in two days."
"Is he okay?" Blaine asked Tim.
"Blainers!" Cooper yelled as he noticed Blaine. "Blainey! And Kurtie! Yes! You're here! Now we can get more drinks!" He turned to the man at the bar and said "4 vodkas and cokes and one just coke for my sensible brother." He chuckled as he pulled his wallet out. "I wish you'd get drunk Blainey, I bet you're funny drunk."
"You know why, Coop," Blaine sighed, taking the plain coke that was offered to him. He felt an arm wrap around his waist and a pair of lips near his ear.
"I like you like this," Kurt whispered, and then proceeded to nuzzle his face into Blaine's neck, gently kissing at the skin there. Blaine couldn't help the shiver that crept down his back at the feeling of Kurt's lips pressed so intimately to his skin.
"Woah, get it Blaine," Cooper called. "But no sex in here. Your boyfriend is hot but I don't wanna see that." Blaine rolled his eyes at his brother as Kurt detached his lips from Blaine's neck. "Come on, you two, down your drinks and lets dance!"
Kurt unwrapped his arms from around Blaine's waist so that he could do just that. Blaine automatically missed the feeling.
After a couple of hours, Blaine had his arm around his boyfriend's waist as he led him towards the car. Kurt was definitely drunk at this point, almost as drunk as Cooper, who had already been dragged out by his friends to get home. He'd given both Blaine and Kurt sloppy kisses on the cheeks and another hug stating that "you guys are seriously the cutest thing ever, be sure to tell me when you get married". Blaine just blushed and hoped Kurt wouldn't remember.
"Blaine," Kurt whispered as Blaine helped him into the car. "Blaine you're the best you know."
"I know, Kurt, you've told me a million times," Blaine chuckled.
"You seriously are. I told you you'd be looking after me. You're amazing for looking after me," Kurt slurred.
"It's okay, I like looking after you," Blaine replied as he sat Kurt up on the backseat. He leaned across him to put his seat belt on and Kurt pulled him down by the front of his shirt to kiss him. Blaine stumbled, his lips crashing into Kurt's, and Kurt wrapped his arms around Blaine to pull him in tighter.
"Kurt?" Blaine tried to ask, but Kurt just muffled the noise with his lips. Their lips moved together, tongues battling and Kurt's hands grabbing at the bottom of Blaine's shirt.
"You're so hot Blaine," Kurt panted between kisses, and the slight slur in his voice brought Blaine back to reality.
"Kurt, sweetie, you're drunk," Blaine said, pulling away from Kurt's grasp and attempting to continue to put on his seat belt.
"And you're hot!" Kurt complained, trying to pull Blaine closer, but Blaine was quicker.
"You're drunk, okay? We can make out tomorrow. If you're not hungover, that is," Blaine chuckled.
"I always want to make out with you," Kurt said, his voice dropping to a lower, huskier voice. "I love making out with you."
"And I love making out with you, but we can make out when you're sober, okay?"
"Okay," Kurt said. He hummed to himself as Blaine got into the drivers seat and pulled out of the parking lot.
"Hey, Blaine?" he said. "I really like your brother. He's funny."
"He likes you too," Blaine replied.
"I can't wait to get to know him more. And meet the rest of your family. They will like me, right?"
"You're not worried about meeting my family are you?" asked Blaine.
"A little bit. I know they're important; if they don't like me then you'll leave me and I don't want to lose you ever," said Kurt. Blaine peaked into his rear review mirror to see that Kurt was looking down at his lap, playing with the scarf he'd placed there.
"First of all, you have no reason to worry. They are going to love you. Harmony loves you, Coop loves you and the rest of my family are going to love you. Secondly, even if they didn't like you, which is impossible, I'm not going to leave you," Blaine assured him.
"You're not?" Kurt mumbled.
"I'm not. Not ever," Blaine replied.
"Blaine?"
"Yeah?"
"I'm sleepy," said Kurt.
"Go to sleep, Kurt. We'll be home soon," Blaine said.
"Okay," Kurt whispered. "You're the best."
It was only a couple more minutes before Blaine heard Kurt's breathing even out as he fell asleep. He knew they'd deal with Kurt's worries in the morning, but he knew that his family would love Kurt. Even if they didn't, Blaine knew he did.
